Abstract

For introducing gases into liquids, so-called tubular aerators are used, which are inserted into the liquid. The tubular aerators are either intrinsically porous, being perforated in such a way that gas introduced under pressure is given off to the liquid from the surface of the tube in finely dispersed form. The tubular aerator according to the invention essentially comprises a rigid support tube (2) with radial holes (3), over which a film-like hose (4) provided with very fine pores is pulled. The tube (2) with the hose (4) is sealed at the ends by disc-shaped caps (5). These have central holes (7), to which is connected, at at least one end, a line (12) through which gas under pressure is introduced into the support tube (2). The gas passes through the holes (3) and is distributed between the support tube (2) and the hose (4) over the entire periphery and emerges in very finely dispersed form via the pores of the hose (4).

Description

The invention is based on a tubular aerator for introducing gases into liquids according to the preamble of claim 1.

Aerators of the aforementioned type are known. A version produced by the company Schumacher'sche Fabrik GmbH & Co. KH, Bietigheim / Württemberg uses porous-ceramic tube aerators, which are combined to form a ventilation grille. They are intended for use in settling tanks or the like. The ventilation grilles are pivotally attached to the pool edge via downpipes. For cleaning purposes, the ventilation grilles hanging in the pool during operation can be swung up over the pool rim using a special lifting device. However, this ventilation system is only suitable for its intended use.

There are, however, a number of cases in which the entry of gases, preferably air or oxygen, into liquids is desired, but in which a ventilation device cannot be permanently installed.

In these cases, it is common to lay pipes with relatively large holes firmly on the bottom of the water or to anchor them in a floating position on the bottom.

However, there are other applications of gas entry into liquids in which a fixed installation of a ventilation device is very difficult and therefore expensive or impossible, e.g. in deep water or in sea bays or on the high seas. Fixed installation also has the disadvantage that maintenance and cleaning is very difficult.

The object of the invention is to provide a tubular aerator of finite length, which can be freely laid and ensures optimum gas entry into a liquid through a fine-pored surface.

This object is achieved by the features specified in claim 1. The subclaims show advantageous configurations of the subject matter of the invention.

The advantages achieved by the invention are in particular that the support tube can be stable and thus relatively heavy and has large radial bores, that the film-like tube surrounding the tube can be relatively thin and therefore there is the possibility of fine perforation that at a Damage and / or clogging of the pores cost-effectively only the porous hose needs to be replaced, that in a further development of the invention the flooding of the carrier tube causes a sinking to the bottom of the water and that the volume of the flood chambers can be adjusted by an externally controllable gas pressure, that the tubular aerator assumes and maintains a predetermined water depth position or can be made to float. It is also possible to restrict the aeration to certain deep water areas.

It essentially consists of a rigid carrier tube 2 of finite length, over which a film-like tube 4 provided with the finest pores is drawn. The hose 4 is turned inwards at the pipe ends. Sealing caps 5 close the end of the carrier tube 2 prepared in this way, which engages in annular grooves 6 of the lid 5, which contain sealing rings (not shown) which close the carrier tube 2 in a pressure-tight manner by means of a hose 4. The carrier tube 2 has, for example, radial bores all around in the middle. B. using the method according to the older German patent application P 33 16 118.6 finest pores. The covers 5 each have a central bore 7 in which a flange bushing 8 with an external thread is arranged in a pressure-tight manner and is held by a nut 9. The protruding part of the threaded bushings 8 is used to connect a pressure line 12 and, in the case of an aerator 1 at the end, to accommodate a closure cap 10.

If a gas is supplied to the above-described aerator 1 via line 12 under pressure, it exits through the radial bores 3 in the carrier tube 2 and is distributed over the entire circumference under the hose 4 due to the pressure. When the pressure is sufficient, the gas occurs in a very fine distribution through the pores. Such an aerator 1 is floatable due to its large cavity. For this reason, it must be anchored on the bottom of a container with the liquid to be aerated or on the bottom of a body of water.

Vorzugsweise ist dieses PVC-hart, das die Eigenschaft hat, nicht mit Wasser zu reagieren.3 and 4 show a second embodiment of a tubular aerator 1, which is constructed on the same principle, but sinks in a liquid by flooding most of the cavity of the carrier tube 2. It is assumed here that the material used for the carrier tube and the cover is heavier than the liquid. This is preferably PVC-hard, which has the property of not reacting with water.

Compared to the embodiment described above, the support tube 2 is divided into two halves by two spaced-apart partitions 13. The tube ends are closed by disk-shaped covers 15, which also have a central bore 7. A pipe 14 projects through each of these, the other end of which passes through the respective partition 14 and is connected to the latter in a pressure-resistant and tensile manner. The free end of the piping 14 is threaded. Nuts 9 ensure the pressure-tight fit of the cover 15 and the sealing of the pipe duct. The protruding thread ends serve, as described above, for connecting the pressure line 12 or for receiving a closure cap 10. The covers 15 are in a circle in the region of the support tube 2 arranged holes 16 provided, as Fig. 4 shows clearly. Through this, the chambers 17 formed by the partitions 13 are accessible from the outside. The radial bores 3 in the carrier tube 2 open into the space between the two partition walls 13. The disc-shaped covers 15 have a diameter which is a multiple of the carrier tube diameter. The purpose of this is that the carrier tube 2 or the hose 4 emitting the gas bubbles has no ground contact when the aerator 1 is seated on the ground. If an aerator 1 of the type described above is inserted into a liquid, the chambers 17 are flooded through the holes 16 and the aerator 1 gradually sinks to the bottom. The gas supplied under pressure via line 12 is conducted via pipes 14 into the space between partition walls 13, from where it passes through radial bores 3 to hose 4 and exits through its pores. The aerator 1, once lowered, cannot be easily recovered.

This enables the third embodiment, which is shown in FIG. 5. Since the basic structure corresponds to that of FIGS. 3 and 4, only the right half of the aerator 1 is shown in section in FIG. 5, since the left half is the same in mirror image. The following description therefore applies accordingly.

The difference to the above-described embodiment is that the partitions 13 have bores 18 in which adjustable exhaust valves 19 are arranged. In the chambers 17, one piston disk 20 is arranged so that it can be displaced in a pressure-tight manner relative to the inner wall of the carrier pipe and the pipes 14. A compression spring 21 is arranged between the respective cover 15 and the relevant piston disk 20. This has the force and tendency to urge the piston disc 20 to the partition 13. Without counteraction, the piston disk 20 is moved until it abuts the partition 13. Thus, when the aerator 1 is inserted into the liquid, the chambers 17 fill and the aerator 1 sinks to the bottom.

The valves 19 are set so that they do not open under normal ventilation gas pressure. This ensures that the aerator 1 cannot float during ventilation operation. However, if the gas pressure is increased, the valves 19 open and the piston disks 20 are displaced towards the cover 15 against the force of the springs 21 and the pressure of the liquid by gas pressure. The liquid is pressed out through the holes 16, the cavity in the chambers 17 increases steadily until the buoyancy is large enough to let the aerator 1 float. Here it can be easily cleaned or simply lifted out for repair. A manual valve, not shown, is provided for lowering again, through which the gas in the chambers 17 can be released.

Here too, for the reasons mentioned, essentially only the right half of the aerator 1 is shown. This embodiment enables the aerator 1 to be set to a predetermined water depth. Since there is no ground contact in this case, the disk-shaped covers 22 have a diameter which is not much larger than that of the support tube 2. In this case too, the cover has holes 16 for flooding the chambers 17. Furthermore, a fine pressure differential pressure switch 23 is integrated in each cover 22. Switches of this type are e.g. B. manufactured by Herion-Werke KG, Fellbach / Württemberg. The differential pressure switch 23 is connected via a pressure measurement channel 25 to the liquid surrounding the aerator 1. The switch 23 is set via an actuator 24 guided to the outside. The piston disks 20 each have two bores 27, in which a controllable inlet valve 28 and a controllable outlet valve 29 are arranged. A flexible pressure hose 26 is connected to the bore 27 of the inlet valve 28 and is guided pressure-tight from the outside through the respective cover 22 into the chambers 17. In the flexible pressure hoses 27, the power supply and control lines to the switches 23 and the valves 28 and 29 are shifted in a manner known per se (not shown in detail).

The differential pressure switch 23 set to a predetermined water depth controls in dependence on the pressure of the liquid giving the aerator 1 in the form of a control circuit according to the diagram in FIG. 7 in such a way that the piston disc 20 is brought exactly into the position in which the aerator 1 is in the predetermined one The water depth remains suspended, the gas pressure required for the adjustment being supplied via the hose 26 from the outside.

Fig. 8 shows a schematic representation of a tubular aerator 1 with a device for deep water aeration. This can prevent z. B. the entire liquid layers are mixed. As can be seen in Fig. 8, the tubular aerator 1 is in the water depth T₂ in the floating state. Holding ropes 31 are fastened to the outer surfaces of the covers 22 and are attached to the outer edges of a gas-permeable, tent-like catcher 30. The lower edge of the catcher 30 is in the water depth T₁. An adjustable valve 32, to which a return line 33 is connected, is arranged on the ridge of the catcher 30. A Y-pipe connection 34 is inserted into the pressure line 12 for the gas supply, as shown, to whose free Y-pipe the return line 33 is connected.

The gas flowing out of the aerator 1 in the finest distribution passes through the liquid in the depth range T₂ - T₁. The gases undissolved in the liquid are collected by the tent-shaped catcher 30 and fed back via the valve 32 and the line 33 to the pressure line 12, and from there, according to the principle of the communicating tubes with flowing media, despite the existing pressure difference between the two lines, they are used again fed. The valve 32 is set so that on the one hand no liquid is fermented into the return line, on the other hand it is reliably prevented that the rising gas reaches the surface of the liquid.
