Abstract

1. Panel-shaped structural component comprising a rigid lower shell with edge profiles corresponding approximately to the thickness of the structural component, a flexible covering, which is connected to the edge profiles of the lower shell, and a support core, which fills the space between the lower shell and the covering, of a foamed insulating material, characterised in that the lower shell (1) is divided into two shell halves (1a, 1b), which are separate from one another and are in each case formed along the longitudinal centre of the structural component with an adjoining edge profile (2b), that the shell halves (1a, 1b) are connected together at their adjoining edge profiles (2b) by means of a flexible sealing strip (4), that the flexible covering (6) extends over the entire structural component width, which is formed by the two shell halves (1a, 1b), and that the shell halves (1a, 1b) can be folded about the hinge axis formed by the sealing strip (4) and the covering (6) between a straight position and a position in which they are pivoted through 180 degrees and in which the covering (6) of the two shell halves (1a, 1b) lie on the top of one another.
