Der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt daher die Aufgabe zugrunde, einen Behälter, z.B. eine Gefrier- oder Frischhaltedose, der gattungsgemäßen Art zu schaffen, der sich insbesondere dadurch auszeichnet, daß ein dichter Abschluß durch den Deckel auch bei dauerndem Öffnen und Schließen gewährleistet bleibt, und daß die Handhabung des Deckels beim Aufsetzen vereinfacht wird.The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a container, e.g. to create a freezer or food storage container of the generic type, which is characterized in particular by the fact that a tight seal through the lid is guaranteed even with continuous opening and closing, and that the handling of the lid is simplified when putting it on.

Dadurch, daß der Behälter in seinem Randbereich formstabil und eigensteif ist, und dadurch, daß der Deckel spannungsfrei auf dem Behälterrand aufliegt, wird das dauernde Öffnen und Schließen bei vereinfachter Handhabung ermöglicht. Gleichzeitig wird ein dichter Abschluß erreicht dadurch, daß die Verrastung im Bereich des äußeren Schenkels des Behälterrandes durch den Raststeg des Deckels und außerdem durch die Wulst des Deckels, die sich in eine Nut oder Rille des Behälterrandes einschnappen läßt, erfolgt.The fact that the container is dimensionally stable and inherently rigid in its edge region, and that the lid rests on the container edge without tension, enables permanent opening and closing with simplified handling.
