Abstract

A piston pump for dosing flowable substances, for example disinfectant, liquid soaps or creams, has a permanently spring-loaded piston (1) which has a radial groove (2) in which an axially displaceable annular valve element (3) is arranged. In the rest position of the piston (1), the annular valve element (3) is pressed with the aid of the return spring (15) against a circumferential stop ring (6) arranged in the cylinder. By virtue of this arrangement, fluid-tight sealing of the pump is achieved, thus preventing afterdribble in an effective way. <IMAGE>
