Abstract

Zum mehrfarbigen Beschriften von Ausweiskarten und der­ gleichen erhält die mehrschichtige Ausweiskarte eine äu­ ßere Farbschicht (3, 13, 23, 33) einer ersten Farbe und eine innere Farb­ schicht (2, 12, 22, 32) einer zweiten Farbe. Während die äußere Farb­ schicht praktisch kein zum Beschriften verwendetes Laser­ strahllicht absorbiert, absorbiert die zweite innere Farbschicht das Laserlicht. Dadurch wird beim Beschrif­ tungsvorgang das Material der zweiten Farbschicht ther­ misch abgebaut, d. h. verdampft, sublimiert, einer chemi­ schen oder physikalischen Reaktion ausgesetzt, mit der Folge, daß durch eine Druckbildung die erste Schicht in Partikeln weggesprengt wird. Dadurch wird die zweite Farbschicht sichtbar. Statt der zweiten Farbschicht kann man auch eine transparente Lackschicht (14) mit entsprechenden Eigenschaften vorsehen, um unter dieser transparenten Lackschicht beispielsweise ein mehrfarbiges Sicherheits­ druckbild (7) freizulegen.
