Definitions
- the invention relates to roofs for bungalows or similar structures with, preferably glued-on insulation panels made of an insulating material, which are arranged next to one another on the roof surface, on which a sealing membrane consisting of overlapping sealing sheets is applied, and a roof element for flat roofs.
- Roofs of this type are equipped with internal drainage in the form of several drainage shafts arranged in the roof, to which the rainwater is fed by V-shaped laying of the sloping insulation boards.
- an attic is often attached to the edge of the roof to prevent uncontrolled outflow of the rainwater, through which, as the water drainage shafts only allow delayed drainage, the rainwater is dammed up.
- the edge of the roof edge is mostly visually unattractive, it is only a slight roof pitch roofing exposed to high mechanical stress due to changing weather conditions.
- the seal on which only a heavy bed of gravel is applied, ages because of this, also due to the considerable temperature differences, in a relatively short time, so that leaks are almost inevitable.
- the seal can also be easily damaged by vegetation growth, in particular the accumulated rainwater can then penetrate the sloping insulation panels and the building. Leakages in the roof covering quickly lead to rotting, as a result of which extensive repairs and renovation work are essential to preserve the structure.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a roof of the aforementioned type and a roof element for creating such a roof, which although only has a slight roof pitch, but offers the advantages of a pitched roof.
- Elaborate roof drainage and upstands on the edge of the roof should therefore not be necessary, but it should be excluded that rainwater can penetrate the roof. Above all, however, it should be ensured that the seal is overstressed by solar radiation, temperature fluctuations and plant growth, so that it has a long shelf life and early repairs are avoided.
- the roof and the roof element should also be able to be produced economically and without technical difficulties.
- this is achieved with a roof of the aforementioned type in that a hard roof is welded onto the sealing of the insulation panels.
- the hard roofing is formed by overlapping bitumen roof shingles, slate or fiber cement panels or roof tiles in panel format and provided with a protective coating.
- the top of the insulation boards should have an inclination of 3 to 5 °, but it is also possible to make the surface of the roof sloping accordingly, so that insulation boards of uniform thickness can be used.
- the insulation boards can consist of a foam plastic, for example an extruded hard foam, of foam glass, of wood or a similar material.
- sealing membrane on the perforated glass tile or directly on the foam glass insulation panels, it is advisable to apply a top coat of hot bitumen on the perforated glass tile or insulation panels.
- the sealing sheets can also be locked by means of clamps, dowels, pins or the like, if necessary additionally, in order to prevent slipping in the event of tensile loads.
- insulation panels on a substructure, preferably made of flat panels of the same material and flat, in the inner region of the roof and to provide a preferably circumferential wedge in the outer region of the roof, to which a gutter is attached.
- the roof element according to the invention for flat roofs is to be designed in such a way that on an oblong insulating plate which can be fastened to a roof ceiling from a foam plastic, in particular an extruded hard foam, from foam glass, from wood or a similar material, a seal consisting of one or more sealing sheets is applied and a hard roof is welded onto it.
- the hard roofing can in turn be formed by overlapping bitumen roof shingles, slate or fiber cement panels or roof tiles in panel format and can be provided with a protective coating.
- the insulation plate which is preferably designed as a sloping insulation plate, should have an inclination of 3 to 5 ° on its upper side, and in the case of an insulation plate made of a foam plastic, in particular an extruded hard foam, it is advisable to provide an intermediate layer of perforated glass tile between the latter and the sealing membrane.
- a top coat of hot bitumen should be applied to the perforated glass tile of the insulation panel.
- the sealing membrane can also be clamped, dowels, pins or the like. be locked on the slope insulation panels.
- the film sheet of a roof element has two overhanging edge parts on two immediately adjacent longitudinal sides of the insulation board, whereby it is expedient to level the projecting edge parts of the film sheets of adjacent roof elements, the insulation board on the protruding edge parts of the film webs on opposite longitudinal sides adapted to the material thickness of the edge parts, to provide recesses formed by milling or by an intermediate layer.
- the hard roofing of the roof element should be offset diagonally by the width of the depressions provided in the insulation panel and arranged flush with the protruding edge parts of the film web.
- a roof is designed according to the invention or a roof is created from the proposed roof elements, it is ensured that when it rains, all the rainwater supplied to the roof immediately enters the gutter and can drain into it. Rainwater is therefore not stowed on the roof or does not remain in puddles, nor are there any drainage channels in the roofing and no visually unattractive parapets on the roof edge, the roof rather corresponds to a pitched roof despite the low roof pitch of the roof surface and offers its advantages. And since a hard roof made of an impact-resistant material is applied to the seal, it is not only ensured that the rainwater is drained away quickly and reliably, but also that the seal is largely protected against mechanical stress. Because of the hard roofing, direct solar radiation of the waterproofing and thus strong UV radiation that favors aging are avoided, and damage from hailstorms, vegetation growth and the like is almost impossible.
- the roof of a bungalow shown in FIG. 1 and designated 1 consists, as can be seen in detail in the further FIGS. 2 to 6, of a plurality of sloping insulation boards 11, 11 ', 11 ⁇ ... , 21 ', 21 ⁇ ..., on which a seal 12 or 22 and on this a hard roof 31 are welded.

- the slope insulation boards 11, 11 ', 11 ⁇ ... are made from an extruded hard foam and the seal 12 consists of a perforated glass tile 13, a top coat 14 and two overlapping film webs 15, which are welded together using a hot air dryer, for example.
- the slope insulation panels 21, 21 ', 21 ⁇ ... made of foam glass, which the seal 22 in the form of a top coat 23 and two sheets 24 arranged is. With the help of clips 17 and 25, the seal 12 and 22 can be additionally secured against the tensile stresses that occur.
- the hard roofing 31 is formed in each case by bitumen roof shingles 32, which are provided with a protective coating 33 on the outside.
- the bitumen shingles 32 are connected to one another by means of an adhesive attached to the back, which hardens as a result of solar radiation.
- This configuration creates a roof for a bungalow that not only looks like a pitched roof and offers its advantages, but is also extremely tight and rapid drainage of the rainwater that can flow into a gutter 35 attached to a wedge 34 , enables. So that slope insulation boards 11 that are not too large must be used, a substructure made of flat boards 26 is provided in the central region of the roof 1, as shown in FIG. 6, on which the slope insulation boards 11 are arranged.
- the roof element shown in FIG. 7 and designated 71 serves to create such a flat roof and consists of a sloping insulation plate 72 made of an extruded hard foam or of foam glass, a seal 73 applied thereon and a hard roof 81.
- the seal 73 is a film sheet 75 formed, which is held by means of a top coat 74.
- the hard roofing 81 again consists of bitumen roof shingles 82 provided with a protective coating 83.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to roofs for bungalows or similar structures with, preferably glued-on insulation panels made of an insulating material, which are arranged next to one another on the roof surface, on which a sealing membrane consisting of overlapping sealing sheets is applied, and a roof element for flat roofs.
Roofs of this type are equipped with internal drainage in the form of several drainage shafts arranged in the roof, to which the rainwater is fed by V-shaped laying of the sloping insulation boards. In addition, an attic is often attached to the edge of the roof to prevent uncontrolled outflow of the rainwater, through which, as the water drainage shafts only allow delayed drainage, the rainwater is dammed up.
Apart from the fact that the edge of the roof edge is mostly visually unattractive, it is only a slight roof pitch roofing exposed to high mechanical stress due to changing weather conditions. The seal, on which only a heavy bed of gravel is applied, ages because of this, also due to the considerable temperature differences, in a relatively short time, so that leaks are almost inevitable. The seal can also be easily damaged by vegetation growth, in particular the accumulated rainwater can then penetrate the sloping insulation panels and the building. Leakages in the roof covering quickly lead to rotting, as a result of which extensive repairs and renovation work are essential to preserve the structure.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a roof of the aforementioned type and a roof element for creating such a roof, which although only has a slight roof pitch, but offers the advantages of a pitched roof. Elaborate roof drainage and upstands on the edge of the roof should therefore not be necessary, but it should be excluded that rainwater can penetrate the roof. Above all, however, it should be ensured that the seal is overstressed by solar radiation, temperature fluctuations and plant growth, so that it has a long shelf life and early repairs are avoided. The roof and the roof element should also be able to be produced economically and without technical difficulties.
According to the invention, this is achieved with a roof of the aforementioned type in that a hard roof is welded onto the sealing of the insulation panels.
It is expedient here if the hard roofing is formed by overlapping bitumen roof shingles, slate or fiber cement panels or roof tiles in panel format and provided with a protective coating.
The top of the insulation boards should have an inclination of 3 to 5 °, but it is also possible to make the surface of the roof sloping accordingly, so that insulation boards of uniform thickness can be used.
The insulation boards can consist of a foam plastic, for example an extruded hard foam, of foam glass, of wood or a similar material.
In the case of insulation panels made of an extruded hard foam, it is also appropriate to provide an intermediate layer of perforated glass tile between them and the sealing sheets.
To fasten the sealing membrane on the perforated glass tile or directly on the foam glass insulation panels, it is advisable to apply a top coat of hot bitumen on the perforated glass tile or insulation panels. The sealing sheets can also be locked by means of clamps, dowels, pins or the like, if necessary additionally, in order to prevent slipping in the event of tensile loads.
It is also advantageous to place the insulation panels on a substructure, preferably made of flat panels of the same material and flat, in the inner region of the roof and to provide a preferably circumferential wedge in the outer region of the roof, to which a gutter is attached.
The roof element according to the invention for flat roofs is to be designed in such a way that on an oblong insulating plate which can be fastened to a roof ceiling from a foam plastic, in particular an extruded hard foam, from foam glass, from wood or a similar material, a seal consisting of one or more sealing sheets is applied and a hard roof is welded onto it.
The hard roofing can in turn be formed by overlapping bitumen roof shingles, slate or fiber cement panels or roof tiles in panel format and can be provided with a protective coating.
In addition, the insulation plate, which is preferably designed as a sloping insulation plate, should have an inclination of 3 to 5 ° on its upper side, and in the case of an insulation plate made of a foam plastic, in particular an extruded hard foam, it is advisable to provide an intermediate layer of perforated glass tile between the latter and the sealing membrane.
To fasten the sealing membrane on the perforated glass tile or directly on the sloping insulation panels made of foam glass, a top coat of hot bitumen should be applied to the perforated glass tile of the insulation panel. The sealing membrane can also be clamped, dowels, pins or the like. be locked on the slope insulation panels.
To seal the butt joints between abutting insulation boards, it is advantageous if the film sheet of a roof element has two overhanging edge parts on two immediately adjacent longitudinal sides of the insulation board, whereby it is expedient to level the projecting edge parts of the film sheets of adjacent roof elements, the insulation board on the protruding edge parts of the film webs on opposite longitudinal sides adapted to the material thickness of the edge parts, to provide recesses formed by milling or by an intermediate layer. Furthermore, in such a configuration, the hard roofing of the roof element should be offset diagonally by the width of the depressions provided in the insulation panel and arranged flush with the protruding edge parts of the film web.
If a roof is designed according to the invention or a roof is created from the proposed roof elements, it is ensured that when it rains, all the rainwater supplied to the roof immediately enters the gutter and can drain into it.
It is also advantageous that such a roof can be produced economically without difficulty and that high thermal insulation and the associated energy savings and absolute tightness of the roof are provided over a long period of time. Since the individual parts are firmly welded to one another by welding, which can be accomplished using a hot air dryer are connected and no rotting materials are used, it is ensured that damage to the roof can only be caused by improper handling and that no pollutant emissions occur after completion. Repairs and renovation work are thus largely avoided. And since only non-flammable materials are used and cavities are avoided, there is also a high level of fire protection. A long lifespan of the roof is therefore guaranteed, without maintenance work having to be carried out at short intervals, with an optically appealing design, the roof landscape being able to be oriented in each case on the building plan.
