- the slurry produced in the agitator mill 1 is injected via line 9 into the exhaust line 10 via a nozzle 11. It is advantageous to select a level of the waste incineration plant in which the exhaust gas has a temperature of approximately 800 ° C., since aggregates such as urea have a particularly favorable reaction with the nitrogen oxides of the exhaust gas, especially at this temperature.
- Adsorbents such as carbon are also injected into the exhaust gas stream in a particularly advantageous manner at temperatures of approximately 800.degree.
- the exhaust gas stream is subsequently passed through schematically indicated waste heat boilers 14, with the injection of slurries of magnesium oxide with different grain sizes of the slurried magnesium oxide ensuring that a uniform distribution of the injected slurry takes place and in this way a complete reaction with the. acidic components of the exhaust gas takes place.
- This procedure also ensures that the formation of deposits is prevented or at least the deposits formed in the waste heat boiler 14 can be correspondingly easily removed from the cooling surfaces.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for injecting solid additives for the treatment of flue gases, in particular to facilitate the detachment or to prevent deposits in combustion plants, in which the additives are injected as a slurry into the combustion chamber and / or exhaust gas duct, and to a device to perform this procedure.
Various measures for desulfurizing the exhaust gases have already been proposed for incineration plants. A direct injection of desulfurization agents can advantageously be used at the same time to loosen deposits, in particular pyrosulfate deposits, in the combustion chamber or in the exhaust duct in such a way that their subsequent detachment or cleaning of the incineration plant is facilitated. Alkaline earth salts and in particular magnesium hydroxide have already been proposed as desulfurizing agents. However, the production of magnesium hydroxide requires that the water used for the hydration is subsequently separated off again. Furthermore, a particularly fine grinding is a prerequisite for the injection of solids, as a result of which a relatively expensive starting product must be used. Finally, a correspondingly large amount of carrier gas is required for blowing in such solids in the amount required for efficient desulfurization. In order not to impair the desired implementation, which only proceeds optimally in certain temperature ranges, such carrier gas flows would have to be tempered accordingly.
Fine-grained, solid desulfurizing agents and aggregates also have a tendency to form lumps when stored in a humid environment, which further increases the effort required to inject such solids. To avoid such problems, it has already been proposed to produce Mg (OH) ₂ as a slurry and such a slurry to be stored and transported accordingly do. In order to keep such a slurry stable over a corresponding minimum storage time, particularly fine grinding is again required, and dispersants must also be added to increase the storage stability. Furthermore, the slurry has to be transported after its manufacture, which results in a significantly increased transport volume and weight due to the liquid medium used for the slurry. The finest grinding required for the production of the suspension leads to a largely homogeneous particle size distribution, as does the direct injection of solids in solid form, which limits the range and the range over which a corresponding conversion in the combustion chamber or in the exhaust gas duct is possible after the injection .
The invention now aims to avoid the disadvantages associated with the use of a slurry, particularly with regard to transportability and storage stability, and to dispense with the use of dispersants in the preparation of such slurries. Furthermore, the invention aims to provide a product suitable for injection, which allows a broader grain size spectrum in the suspension and in this way allows the free path length to be adapted to the requirements in the interior of a combustion chamber or the exhaust gas duct. To achieve this object, the method according to the invention essentially consists in that the slurry is produced in an agitator mill immediately before the injection. The fact that the slurry is produced in an agitator mill immediately prior to the injection now has the advantage, on the one hand, that the finest grinding can be dispensed with, since such a slurry only has to be stable over a short period of time and cannot be stored for a long time have to be. While finest grinding results in larger proportions of additives in a flue gas filter arrive, a corresponding grain size distribution leads to the incorporation in any deposits formed and facilitates the detachment or prevents the deposition of such deposits. For the preparation of the slurry, only the water-free product has to be transported, which results in a reduction in the transport volume and the transport weight. Furthermore, in the case of such a production, the use of dispersants and thus undesirable substances which in turn pollute the exhaust gases can be avoided immediately before the injection. By dispensing with the finest grinding, it is possible to produce slurries which have a predetermined grain size spectrum or a predetermined grain size distribution and, with regard to the use of the slurry immediately after the preparation of the slurry, no consideration needs to be given to storage and transportability . The choice of the appropriate grain size distribution in turn enables an adjustment of the effective range of the desired implementation as well as a more uniform distribution after injection through injection in one nozzle level. However, the preparation of the slurry in an agitator mill immediately prior to injection also offers the possibility of introducing a number of additives together with the slurry in the same way as the slurry, in which case it is sufficient to add the desired additional additives Abandon agitator mill.
Advantageously, the process according to the invention is further developed by using MgO as the main constituent of the additives in the agitator mill and stirring with H₂0. In such a procedure, a slurry of magnesium hydroxide is formed by stirring with water, as a result of which a corresponding increase in the pH value in the area of the injection and a particularly good loosening of deposits, such as that caused by deposits in the interior of the combustion chamber and / or the exhaust duct arise. This increase in the pH value also leads to a reduction in the signs of corrosion inside the boiler.
In addition, silica gel, zeolites, urea, carbon and, if appropriate, manganese oxides are advantageously added to the agitator mill, with such supplements, with a suitable particle size distribution, not only improving the deposit loosening, but also the desulfurization performance and the reduction in NO x in the exhaust gases.
The inventive device for performing this method is essentially characterized in that an agitator mill with a task for solid additives and a connection for a liquid medium, in particular H₂0, with the interposition of a pump via a line with nozzles in the combustion chamber and / or the exhaust gas channels Incinerator is connected. Such an agitator mill allows a corresponding grinding process and dispersion of the ground product to be carried out in a common unit. In such agitator mills, work is carried out in a closed grinding container, the specific surface pressure between the grinding balls being able to be chosen to be correspondingly high with a high packing density of the grinding media filling, without large units being required for this. A preferably usable agitator mill is designed as an eccentric ring disk agitator, which accelerates the grinding media centrifugally and centripetal, with a sieve with a gap width of, for example, about 0.40 mm or a coaxial ring gap integrated in the bearing housing with a correspondingly small gap width, for example 0.20 mm, as the separating element , can be used.
The slurry produced in this way need only remain stable over the period of time necessary for transportation through the line between the agitator mill and the nozzles.
The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of an exemplary embodiment shown schematically in the drawing. 1 schematically shows a unit of an agitator mill, solid magnesium oxide being metered into a
The slurry emerging from the agitator mill 1 is then passed through a
However, it is also possible, as indicated schematically by
The exhaust gas stream is subsequently passed through schematically indicated
