Abstract

A hair dryer (10) is described which has a housing (12) having an air inlet opening (14), an air-conducting channel (18) and an air outlet opening (16), there being arranged in the air-conducting channel (18) a fan (20) for generating an air flow (26) and a rotor element (22) which is mounted rotatably, has at least one perforation (24) and means, by which the rotor element (22) can be set in rotation when subjected to the air flow (26). A stationary baffle (30) is assigned to the rotor element (22), the baffle (30) at least partially covering the air-conducting channel (18) and having passage openings (32) so that, during the operation of the hair dryer (10), perforations (24) of the rotor element (22), which can be set in rotation, and passage openings (32) of the baffle (30) temporarily coincide with one another. As a result, it is possible to vary the air flow emerging from the hair dryer (10) individually in terms of time and space. <IMAGE>

Description

The invention relates to an air-flowable additional part which is attached to a hair dryer, or an independently manageable additional part for a hair dryer according to the preamble of claims 1 or 2.

Such an additional part is already known from US Pat. No. 4,132,360 A. This known pulsator, which can be attached to the hair dryer, is designed as a cylindrical attachment and has struts in its interior on which an asymmetrically designed and unbalanced, individual wing is rotatably attached. The air flow emerging from the hair dryer and exiting onto the wing rotates it and is intended to generate a pulsating, spiral-shaped air flow.

Furthermore, stationary nozzles are generally known, which are either connected in one piece to the hair dryer housing or can be plugged or clipped onto this as an independently manageable additional part. These known nozzles for hair dryers are either only suitable for bundling or for expanding the air flow emerging from the hair dryer. A dynamic influencing of the exiting air flow - for example in the form of pulse-like, temporal and / or spatial air flow variations - is not possible with the known nozzles.

In contrast, the invention has for its object an additional part for a hair dryer for dynamic temporal bwz. to further develop spatial changes in the emerging air flow in such a way that further moving or rotating parts can be dispensed with. It should also be possible to vary the temperature of the escaping air flow with the additional part, which can be placed on and removed from the hair dryer in particular as an independently manageable part, so that two different temperature levels of the escaping one and the same heating level of the hair dryer Air flow are made possible by attaching or removing the additional part.

This object is essentially achieved by an additional part with the features of claim 1 or claim 2. Characterized in that the additional part is designed as a nozzle and the fastening means allow rotation of the nozzle with respect to the hair dryer, the nozzle having air guide means which, in cooperation with the air flow emerging from the hairdryer and flowing through the nozzle, exert a torque on the nozzle, Nozzle for bundling or expanding the air flow exiting the hair dryer is also advantageously used to vary the exiting air flow in the form of dynamic changes in time or space, which promotes particularly rapid drying of the hair. If the additional part is used as an independently manageable part, it is also advantageously designed as a nozzle, the nozzle having air guide means which, in cooperation with the air flow emerging from the hairdryer and flowing through the nozzle, exert a torque on the nozzle. The fact that such air guiding means are provided on the nozzle means that the air flow flowing through them allows them to rotate easily, so that the emerging air flow is not only bundled or expanded spatially, but can also be varied over time. In addition, due to the rotation of the nozzle and the associated rotation of the exiting air flow, the warm air flow exiting the hair dryer is mixed with the surrounding cold air, which overall leads to a reduction in the temperature of the air flow. With this measure, the number of available temperature levels of the hair dryer can be additionally varied by plugging in or removing the nozzle.

In one embodiment of the invention, the fastening means are designed as an axle and associated receiving bearing.

The fastening means of the nozzle or the hair dryer are advantageously assigned. This provides a structurally simple solution for a nozzle, regardless of whether it is removable or permanently connected to the hair dryer.

According to a further aspect of the invention, the air guiding means are formed by air guiding elements arranged on the inner wall of the nozzle or by an asymmetrical shape of the nozzle. The air guiding elements can, for example, be of helical design in order to generate a corresponding torque acting on the nozzle when the air flow impinges on the air guiding elements.

An alternative embodiment is to design the outlet opening of the nozzle asymmetrically with respect to the longitudinal edges, for example to provide offset recesses or the like, in order to generate a torque of approximately diametrically opposite regions of the outlet opening by a correspondingly reduced flow resistance.

The fact that the nozzle has two or more channel-like openings enables in particular spatial variation of the air flow, for example a fanning out of the air flow in the form of a conical jacket. This favors the drying process of the hair.

It is also advantageous to design the air guiding means as one or more channels, the channels being arranged eccentrically and inclined with respect to an axis of rotation of the nozzle.

In Figure 1, the nozzle 1 is shown in perspective. The hair dryer 2 and the nozzle 1 are drawn here in a disassembled position. The axis 3 of the nozzle 1 is provided at its free end with a slit or a gap 4 and has a spherical shape 5. With the help of the gap 4, the axis 3 can be mounted in the receiving bearing 6 of the protective grid 7 of the hair dryer 2, so that the nozzle 1 can rotate in this bearing 6. The receiving bearing 6 is preferably located in the longitudinal axis of the fan motor shaft of the hair dryer 2. In this illustration, the nozzle 1 has a narrow air outlet opening 8 and concave surfaces 9. The course of the longitudinal edges 10 shows asymmetrically designed recesses 10a. They cause opposing forces to act upon each other, in particular diametrically opposite points of attack of the nozzle, and exert a torque on the nozzle so that the nozzle rotates in the direction of arrow 11. The axis 3 of the nozzle 1 is placed in the middle of the support beam 12 (FIG. 5), which is attached to the round base edge 13 which is adapted to the contours of the blow-out opening of the hair dryer 2.

While in FIG. 1 the longitudinal edges 10 of the air outlet opening 8 have recesses 10a that are asymmetrically arranged, FIG. 2 shows straight longitudinal edges 10 of the air outlet opening 8. However, they are designed in such a way that they show a reverse slope in side view (FIG. 3). The dashed line marks the obstructed course of one longitudinal edge 10. The stop edge 14 of the axis 3 can also be seen in FIG. 3. Your task is not to let the base edge 13 come into contact with the hair dryer during the rotation of the nozzle 1.

Der sichtversperrte Verlauf der einen Aussparung 10a ist mit gestrichelter Linie angedeutet.FIG. 4 shows the embodiment of the nozzle shown in perspective in FIG. 1 in a schematic side view. The longitudinal edges 10 of the surfaces 9 of the air outlet opening 8 here show an asymmetrical arrangement of the cutouts 10a. The course of the one recess 10a, which is blocked from view, is indicated by a broken line.

Dieser Vorgang ruft den besonderen Kühleffekt der Düse 1 hervor.5 shows the nozzle 1 in the direction of view towards the base edge 13. The air outlet opening 8 with the asymmetrically arranged recesses 10a can be clearly seen here. The position of the support beam 12 with the axis 3 also reflects the design features of the pulse nozzle. During the rotation of the nozzle 1, the surfaces 9 of the air outlet opening 8 act like a rotating propeller, so that air is laterally sucked in at room temperature and conveyed further in the blowing direction. This process causes the special cooling effect of the nozzle 1.

Je nach Neigung der Kanäle 16, 17 kann die Rotationsgeschwindigkeit der Düse 1 bzw. eine Bündelung oder Streuung des Luftstroms eingestellt werden.6 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a nozzle 1, in which the nozzle has two channel-like openings. The openings are formed by channels 16, 17 which are arranged eccentrically and inclined with respect to the axis of rotation 15 of the nozzle 1. The means for mounting or attaching the nozzle 1 to the hair dryer 2 are not shown in the drawing, but essentially correspond to those of the previous description or figures. When the hair dryer is switched on, this nozzle generates a rotating air flow consisting of one or more individual jets that circulate on a cone jacket. Depending on the inclination of the channels 16, 17, the rotational speed of the nozzle 1 or a bundling or scattering of the air flow can be set.
