Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an applicator assembly containing a low dose of makeup product. By low dose is meant a dose allowing a test touch or a single application of the makeup product. The invention therefore essentially relates to an applicator assembly which can be distributed as a sample, and is no longer reusable.
It is known to use makeup product applicators allowing a single application; these applicators consist of a gripping element carrying a rod at the free end of which is placed a certain amount of the makeup product. This product is protected from the outside, before use, by means of a cap which covers the rod and the product which it carries, and which is fixed to the gripping element linked to the rod. In such a device, the makeup product is effectively protected from the outside, but it is generally necessary to manually place the protective cap and, in any event, the extraction of said cap before use risks deteriorate the amount of makeup product that is at the end of the rod.
In French patent 2,535,588, a simpler device has also been proposed, in which the user is provided with a pouch containing a plurality of applicators arranged side by side, the assembly being more or less like a pouch d 'matches. The free end of each match-shaped applicator is covered with a makeup product. It is a fact that this device has a more reasonable cost price than the previous one given the fact that each applicator is not associated with a protective cap. However, it is also a fact that when an applicator pouch is started, the user cannot know whether the new applicator which he is taking from the pouch has been polluted or not. This less expensive device is therefore not entirely satisfactory.
According to the invention, it has been found that it is possible to fix, on a support, an amount of product sufficient to obtain a dose for a test touch, or a single application of a pasty or powdery makeup product, by exerting only pressure, which simplifies the manufacture of applicators of this type. The invention also has the advantage of making it possible to obtain, directly after fixing the product on the support, a distributable applicator assembly in which the support is fixed on a cradle and forms a protective cover for the dose of makeup product to be put in action.
The first object of the invention is a method of manufacturing an applicator assembly of a powdery or pasty make-up product P, said applicator assembly comprising a support on which the product P is fixed by pressure, characterized in that the product P is deposited in a hollow impression made in a cradle, that the support is placed on the product P in the impression, that the cradle carrying the support is placed on a plate, the face does not comprising no imprint resting on said plate, and that pressure is exerted on the support / cradle assembly, so as to insert the support in the imprint of the cradle and to fix on the support at least part of the product P contained in the imprint.
The fixing by pressure of the product P leads to fixing a more or less significant fraction of product P, fraction which depends, of course, on the more or less smooth nature, respectively, of the materials constituting the cradle and the support, a part of the product can also be fixed on the cradle in the bottom of the footprint.
The second object of the invention is an applicator assembly obtained by the method described above.
In this applicator assembly, the part of the support intended to carry the product P can be at least partially flocked to facilitate the attachment of said product P.
The cradle can have any shape, for example round, oval, square or rectangular, and can include a plurality of imprints and associated supports.
The imprint of the support, when it is made of cardboard, can be obtained by stamping the cardboard or by laminating at least two sheets of cardboard, at least one of these sheets being cut to form the imprint. The uncut sheet can be a simple sheet of thin paper. The cradle and / or the support may be, at least partially, transparent so as to allow the color of the product P.
Preferably, the imprint has at one of its ends a gripping socket making it possible to grasp the support to take it out of the imprint.
Product P consists of any mixture of mineral or organic products intended for make-up, for example facial skin and eyelids. Among the mineral products, mention may be made of talc, clays, in particular kaolin, mica and mineral pigments, for example oxides of titanium, zinc or iron. Among the organic products, mention may be made of vegetable powders, such as rice starch or silk powder, powders of non-thermoplastic polymers, such as polyacrylates and fibers, for example cotton fibers.
It is possible to optionally introduce a small amount of binder to improve the fixing of the product P on the support; this quantity is advantageously less than 20% by weight relative to the total weight of product P. In the case of a paste, the mixture generally contains binders of a waxy or oily nature.
The support is preferably made of cardboard or rigid or servo-rigid plastic. The support can have many forms; he has, from pre ference, the shape of a tongue, one end of which exhibits development. The product P is then fixed on the enlarged end of the tongue.
Keeping the support in place in the impression can be done by edge-to-edge adjustment or by snap-fastening using a recess placed on the edge of the impression. The cradle / support assembly can advantageously be covered with a peelable film which assures the user that the support has never been detached from the cradle, the support therefore not being polluted, and also makes it possible to improve the conservation of the product.
The cradle can be, on its face carrying the imprint, covered with a cover all around the support: this cover can be, for example, made of paper or plastic welded or slammed on the cradle. This cover can be decorated, bear the mark of the manufacturer of the product or other indications; several different covers can be adapted on the same cradle, this allowing the use of the same cradle for different products.
This applicator set can be distributed as a sample and can be discarded after use. One can obtain very thin sets which can be used in press supports, such as magazines.
The description given below, by way of illustration and without limitation, of two embodiments will make it possible to better understand the invention.

The assembly illustrated in FIG. 1 is designated by 1. It is constituted by a
To manufacture the
When a user wishes to try the product P, he takes the
