Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a goods entry and billing system in the self-scanning system, wherein an operator station with a screen, a printer and a keyboard is assigned more than one customer treadmill, each with an associated customer scanner and customer control screen, and the customer scanners with the customer control screens are connected to the operator station.
In a known system, an operator is responsible for two treadmills, two separate screens with separate recording of the sales-related data read in via the customer scanners and two separate printers being arranged for each treadmill in the area of the operating station. The customer scanners with the customer control screens are arranged at the beginning of the respective treadmill. The customer takes the goods out of the shopping cart and places them on the treadmill after registration by the customer scanner, with the scanned goods at the end of the treadmill an inclined plane can be fed to a receiving compartment. The scanners are arranged at a distance from the operator position outside the immediate field of vision, so that neither an assistance nor an effective control function can be carried out by the operator.
From EP 0 403 670 A1 a system of the type shown is also known, in which the customer scanners with the respectively assigned customer control screen are arranged at the end of the treadmills in the viewing and control area of the operator station. The sales-related data of a treadmill read in via a customer scanner can be checked on the screen of the operator station. A corresponding manual switchover is required to check the sales-related data of several treadmills.
The invention has for its object to facilitate the control of the recorded sales-related data and to make it clearer.
This object is achieved in that the sales-related data recorded by the customer scanner, several treadmills can be read simultaneously on the screen of the operator station, the data being readable on the screen of the operator station in the same or a different size. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the recorded data can be read in any color rendering on the screen of the operator station.
In the running direction of the treadmills, a control device can be arranged after the customer scanners, which is expediently in operative connection with the customer scanners and the screen of the operator station. A hand scanner is advantageously assigned to the operator station. The customer scanner can be arranged stationary and / or can be designed as a hand scanner. It is possible to arrange the stationary customer scanners and the screen of the operator station almost in alignment.
Expedient embodiments of the invention are shown in the remaining subclaims.

An
In the running direction of the
The
