Abstract

The tile (D) is attached to a base layer (B) which provides a thermal insulation and which is provided with a bedding layer. The edges of the base layer have lugs (3) which are positioned asymmetrically to form a laying pattern with adjacent tiles. The grouting compound secures the tiles. The tiles overlap the base layers to form a profiled keying cross-section for the grout. The jointing lugs are shortened to enable the tiles to be laid with compensation for tolerances.

Description

The invention relates to tiles for flooring and wall coverings. These tiles in particular take into account their laying in the thin bed using the floating process according to DIN 18156, Part 1, Section 3.4.1, using conventional adhesives.
Tiles and slabs are often laid on a joint on a structural base, such as that which is predominantly used in building construction, after which the joints are filled in by grouting or washing in with joint mortar. This is done in accordance with the technical standards regulation DIN 18352, section 3.5 joints.
So that the grout can adhere to the structural substrate, thus gaining adhesive strength, the structural substrate in the joint area must be cleared of adhesive residue before the grout is washed in or washed in. For this purpose, the joints have to be scraped out and cleaned, which is very cumbersome for both floor coverings and wall coverings. It is a complex additional work step, which is dependent on the time the hardening of the adhesive takes place .2.15 to adequately prevent conceptually determined adhesion breakage, the so-called detachment of the grout from the structural substrate.
In contrast, the invention has set itself the technical task of creating tiles and plates of the same type for floor coverings and wall coverings, which meet the requirement to replace the adhesive strength of the grout by an abutment force, that is, to enable a jointing of the grout.
This technical problem is solved in a generic device by the characterizing feature of claim 1.
After the tiles and slabs equipped with them have been laid on the joint in the adhesive bed, the bevel on the side surfaces creates a trapezoidal grout cross-section with the sides that are directed towards the constructional surface and accordingly beveled, the thighs that partially represent the joint flank, the joint grout abutment.

The advantages that can be achieved with this invention are economical and consist, in particular, in having created the tiles that are predominantly to be laid in the thin bed using the floating method, on the basis of which the otherwise necessary scraping and cleaning of the joints from adhesive residues before the flooring and grouting is done Wall cladding is eliminated.

This advantage is associated with the expansion of the state of the art in having replaced the inherently undetermined adhesive force by a safe abutment force for grout. In addition, labor and material costs are saved, material waste and its disposal are avoided, and finally the manufacturing / operating time is significantly reduced.
If it is ceramic tiles, but also those made of artificial stone or plastic, the molding of the side surface bevel can go hand in hand with the production. From a technical point of view, there is nothing to prevent the side surface from being chamfered.

Fig.1
zeigt den Erfindungsgegenstand in räumlicher Darstellung.
Fig.2
zeigt in räumlicher Darstellung

An embodiment of the invention in the most frequently used rectangular surface shape is shown schematically in the drawings and is described and explained in more detail below:
Fig. 1
shows the object of the invention in spatial representation.
Fig. 2
shows in spatial representation
the corners of two objects of the invention laid side by side on a joint,
the outlined trapezoidal grout cross-section, as it is caused by the drawing of the subject of the invention completely exposed from the side surface bevel,
the adhesive bed with a slant that runs obliquely to the direction of the joint, which remains in the joint area as residual adhesive
and
the technical background is drawn.

The subject matter of the invention (FIG. 1) differs from the previous tiles and slabs only with its characteristic side bevel (1). This (FIG. 2) results in tiles and slabs according to the invention which are laid next to one another on the structural base (U) and on the joint ( D) an outlined trapezoidal joint cross section, or. The adhesive bed (B) should be given a slant (K) that runs obliquely to the direction of the joint, then the created joint mortar abutment will be evenly distributed over the entire length of the joint. The tiles and plates according to the invention ( D) are pressed firmly into the adhesive bed (B) during installation, which remains in the joint area with the comb (K) as adhesive residue (R), the height of which is always within the side surface bevel (1) over the entire area A mortar abutment is always available.

The subject of the invention, laid on a joint in the thin bed using the floating method and grouted by slurrying or washing in the grout, is used for the production of floor coverings and wall coverings, in contrast to adhesive with a superimposed strand of grout. Of course, the object of the invention can also be used using any work process.

The subject of the invention is similar to the previous generic tiles and plates foreseeable without further industrial cost-effectiveness, can also be safely transported, stored and used at any time from officially approved material, and is therefore readily applicable to industry, trade or craft.

Herstellungs- / Betriebszeit bedeutend verringert.
