Description

The invention relates to a port system for bags that Contain liquids for medical applications, i.e. liquids for infusions, clinical nutrition or dialysis or irrigation solutions.

A port system, of which the preamble of the claim 1 is known from WO92 / 00118. At This port system has two protruding parts on one bag Pipes attached, one of which has a removal port and the other forms an addition port. Any of these Pipe is closed by a membrane that is covered by the Spike of a transmission device or the needle a syringe can be pierced. On every pipe sits a cap that consists of a cap body and a tearable closure part exists. This cap is sealing attached to the pipe and it covered the Membrane completely so that this from the cap and the Tube is enclosed in a germ-tight manner. After tearing off the Closure part is the piercing area of the membrane surface free. The membrane can thus be pierced to access the interior with a transmission device of the bag.

From FR-A-2 291 109 is a port system for medical Bag known, which is also the preamble of the claim 1 corresponds. Furthermore, is on the closure part and a stopper is provided on the cap body, who after tearing off the closure part in the then opened passage opening are pressed in can and seals them. The sealing element is made thereby from a partition wall belonging to the pipe, which is not self-sealing after piercing. The Cap is using to the outer end of the tube of a solvent welded on.

The invention has for its object a port system for a bag with a high level of safety to create that can be easily assembled.

This object is achieved with the invention the features specified in claim 1.

In the port system according to the invention there is a cover present, which after tearing off the closure part the cap body is placed and its access opening closes. The lid is on the tube, the cap body or the closure part attached. The lid is therefore a captive part that is related to that Port forms a unit and is not lost can. The lid also does not require independent disposal, but with the entire port system, after it has been used, disposed of.

Preferably, the lid is designed so that after locked on the cap body locked on this is and cannot be removed without this damage to the lid or cap body is visible.

The fact that the access opening of the cap body through a lid is permanently closed in the case of the addition port achieved that the injection of a Drug to the contents of the bag only in the immediate Connection to the opening of the addition port is possible. After injecting one or more drugs the user closes the addition port with the lid, which is not recognizable from the outside would be solved again. So that is achieved that the user inject a drug only once can, and not a double injection performs because he is distracted in the meantime and has forgotten the first injection. It also ensures that no third party Substances through the addition port in the bag introduces unnoticed.

Generally the cover is intended for an addition port, however, a removal port through which Liquid is removed from the bag in the inventive Be trained. The removal port comes with a lid after the first removal locked. This makes sense, for example, if the bag contents immediately after opening the Bag must be consumed and one in the bag still contained rest can no longer be used afterwards may.

The port system is preferably at least two Pipes equipped, one of which to a removal port and the other belongs to an addition port. The Both tubes form one together with a base part one-piece unit. The base part comes with the bag wall welded to seal. The entire port system consists of very few components, namely the Base part with the tubes attached to it the ends of the pipes and the between the caps and tubes clamped membranes. At So two ports are only three plastic parts necessary, namely the base parts with the tubes and the Caps with the closure parts molded onto them. The Lids are either molded onto the part to which the tubes belong, or the individual caps or their Closure parts.

The following are exemplary embodiments of the invention explained in more detail with reference to the drawings.

In the embodiment of FIGS. 1-3 is on one plastic bag 10, one for the medical use certain sterile sealed Contains liquid, the port system 11 provided that is welded to the bag 10. For this purpose contains the port system is a base part 12 with several parallel ones Ribs, the width of which decreases towards the ends, so that the base part 12 is in the shape of a boat Has. At the ribs of the base part 12 are from welded the outside of the bag walls, so that the Base part 12 seals the bag sealingly. Of the Base part 12 project two tubes 13, 14 parallel to one another outward. The tube 13 is part of the removal port 15 and the tube 14 is part of the addition port 16. There is a cap on each tube 17. The two Caps 17 are equal to one another. Each cap 17 is made from a cap body 18 and this in one piece molded closure part 19. The cap body 18 has the shape of a bell. He is sitting with his lower one Edge on a flange 50 protruding from the pipe 14 on. This sits on the top wall 20 of the cap body 18 Locking part 19. This locking part is in accordance with Art an inverted cup, the edge of which is over a line of weakness 21 in the top wall 20 of the cap body 18 passes. The closure member 19 is also provided with projecting wings 22 for attacking the hand.

The cover 24 is designed so that it over the top wall 20 of the cap body 18 can be placed and then with locking elements 25 on the edge 26 such hooked that it no longer nondestructively from the cap body 18 can be removed.

This state is shown in Fig. 2. Here is the exposed by turning off the closure part 19 Opening in the end wall 20 of the cap part 18 with the attached lid 24 closed. The end wall 20 the removal port 15, however, is exposed. From her the associated closure member 19 has been turned off, so that only the tear line 51 remains, which the uncovered passage opening 27 surrounds. The passage opening 27 includes locking elements 28 in Form of bayonet lock slots.

Fig. 3 shows that in the passage opening 27 of the removal port 15 the spike 30 of a transmission device 31 has been inserted. On the spike 30 are counter-locking elements 29 which with the locking elements 28 the bayonet lock form. The piercing mandrel 30 initially becomes axial inserted into the removal port and then rotated, whereby it is secured against axial pulling out is.

As is also apparent from Fig. 3, is located inside of the cap body 28 is a self-closing sealing element in the form of a rubber-elastic membrane 32, those of annular axial webs 33, 34 of the tube 13 and the cap body 18 is supported in a ring shape. The cap body 18 is held on the tube 13 by arms 34 extending axially outward from the flange 50 protrude and spring radially. At the ends of this Arms 34 are outwardly facing lugs 35 which correspondingly in recesses in the peripheral wall of the cap body 18 snap into place. In this way, the cap body 18 on the tube 13 by simply sliding it on to be assembled. The peripheral edge of the membrane 32 presses against the arms 34 from the inside and thus presses the lugs 35 elastically outwards. The lugs 35 serve also to the cap body 18 during the calibration to hold the closure part 19 against rotation.

The internal structure of the addition port 16 is essentially same as that of the withdrawal port 15. Different is that in the addition port 16, the sealing element 38 arranged directly under the end wall 20 and a passage opening provided in the end wall 20 39 fills out. The sealing element 38 is after turning off the closure member 19 in the surface of the end wall 20 free so that it with a Hollow needle can be pierced.

For both ports, the transition from the tube is 13, 14 in the radial flange 50 is shaped like a cup to a Form finger support surface on the tube with your thumb and index finger can be taken. The diameter of the cap body is at least 1 cm larger than that of the tube so that the cap body has a protective shield for the fingers attacking the pipe beneath him forms. The inner diameter of the tube 13 is corresponding the outer diameter of the piercing mandrel 30 relative large, while the tube 14 has a smaller diameter has to minimize the port space. Both pipes 13, 14 lead through the base part 12 and open in the bag 10.

In the embodiment of FIGS. 4 and 5 is that Base part 12 and the tubes 13, 14 configured in the same way as in the first embodiment. The caps 17a differ from the caps 17 of the first Embodiment not with regard to the cap body 18, but only with regard to the closure parts 19a, each of which a cover 24a is integrally formed is. The closure parts 19 consist of here one pipe socket each, protruding from the side Plate 40 is closed. This plate is at the same time part of the cover 24a. Around plate 24 extends around a pipe socket facing away Locking edge 41 with locking elements 42 which are inseparable from the Edge 26 of the cap body 18 engage when they snap over this edge.

Fig. 5 shows how the combined closure member 19a Cover 24a from the end wall of the cap body 18 of the Addition ports 16 has been turned to reverse (i.e. with the lid 24a) placed on the cap body 18 to become. The tear-off edge on which the closure part 19 is torn off, is designated in Fig. 5 with 43.

The locking edge 41 is provided with interruptions 44, which extend into the disk 41 and serve to be able to attack better by hand if that Closure part is rotated from the cap body 18.

In the embodiment of FIGS. 6-8 is also the closure member 19b with the lid 24b into one Component united. This component has a Disc 46 on one side of the closure part 19b is arranged in the form of a horizontal pipe socket (Fig. 8) while to the opposite side of the Detent edge 46 protrudes with the edge 26 of the cap body 18 is permanently locked.
