Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for filling depressions of a cylinder of a printing press, for example an anilox roller, with a liquid.
- the invention further relates to a doctor device particularly suitable for this purpose and a method for changing it.
- DE 39 11 839 A1 shows a so-called rinsing inking unit for inking an anilox roller.
- an inking channel is arranged under the anilox roller. Squeegees lie on the anilox roller on both sides of the inking channel. A color change would mean time-consuming replacement and cleaning.
- a doctor device which is particularly suitable for this purpose, for filling the depressions and a method for changing the doctor device.
- the object in generic devices with the features of the characterizing part of claims 1 and 4 and by Method according to claim 17 solved.
- a quick change to a different filling liquid is possible.
- a particularly proposed doctor device empties itself when it is switched off, which eliminates the need for cleaning work.
- the working squeegee left on the cylinder after the application device of the squeegee device has been switched off takes over its cleaning.
- the doctor device is well suited for imaging a printing form of the printing press, for the so-called CT-Press principle (Computer to press), e.g. B. after the gravure UV ink process described in the patent application DE 196 24 441.2.
- the doctor blade device shown in FIG. 1 is fastened to the side wall 4 of a printing press with the aid of the carrier 3.
- the squeegee device contains an application device 129 with a squeegee 6 and a further squeegee 5 and a working squeegee 27.
- the squeegees 6 and 5 are positioned positively on the cylinder to be inked, here a forme cylinder 8, ie they point in the direction of rotation 7 of the forme cylinder 8
- the doctor blades 5, 6 are arranged on the side of the forme cylinder 8. They are fastened in a bar 9 which is mounted in a carrier 12 by means of guides 10, 11.
- the bar 9 is movable by means of a working cylinder 13 in the arrow directions 14 and 15, ie away from the forme cylinder 8 or towards it.
- the carrier 12 in turn is fastened to a carrier 16 which is supported on a support tube 19 by brackets 17, 18.
- This support tube 19 is fastened on the one hand in the side wall 4, on the other hand it is supported on the carrier 3 by a holder 20 (FIG. 4).
- the carrier 16 is fastened on its front side by means of the holder 18 to a spindle 21 which is mounted in the support tube 19 via guides 22, 23. As a result, this spindle 21 can be pulled out telescopically from the support tube 19, so that the holder 18 can be moved into the position 18 'shown in broken lines (FIG. 4).
- the holder 17 then also slides on the support tube 19 in the position 17 '.
- the entire doctor device can thus be moved parallel to the forme cylinder 8, so that it is then in a service position in front of the latter. In this position, wear parts such. B. the squeegees 5, 6, easily replaced.
- the handle 24, which connects a working cylinder 25 to the holder 18, must be released.
- This working cylinder 25 is supported on the carrier 3 via a holder 26 and is used in a known manner for traversing, ie for axially reciprocating the squeegee device by a certain stroke.
- the working doctor blade 27 is below the doctor blade 6 at a short distance from the latter negative on the forme cylinder 8, d. H. turned against its direction of rotation 7 (Fig. 5). For this purpose, it is fastened to a bar 28 which can be moved in guides 29, 30 by means of working cylinders 33, 34 via levers 31, 32 in the arrow directions 35 and 36. These working cylinders 33, 34 are fastened to the carrier 12 via holders 37, 38, while the levers 31, 32 are rotatably fastened to the holders 17, 18 via bolts 39, 40 and holders 41, 42.
- the doctor blade 6 forms with the outer surface of the cylinder 8 a first wedge-shaped space 61.
- the doctor blade 5 forms with the outer surface of the cylinder 8 a second wedge-shaped space 62 which is open at the top.
- Both spaces 61, 62 are in the longitudinal direction from at the end faces of the Squeegee 6 adjacent sealing discs 43, 44 limited.
- Both sealing disks 43, 44 continue to rest, realizing a three-point support, on a bolt 48, 49 and are pressed by spring-loaded bolts 46, 47 against the end faces of the doctor blade 6 and the bolts 48, 49.
- the sealing disks 43, 44 can be moved in the directions 14 and 15 by means of working cylinders 50, 51 (FIG. 2) via drivers 52, 53.
- the bolts 46, 47 can be moved in the directions 56, 57 by means of levers 54, 55 against the spring forces.
- the operation of the doctor device will be explained below with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6.
- the printing ink with which the wells of a gravure printing plate which the forme cylinder 8 is to be inked is supplied with pressure via a pipe 58 and pressed into the first space 61 between the doctor blades 5 and 6 via the channel 59 and channels 60.
- the printing ink can then pass through holes 62, which are distributed in the doctor blade 5 over its length, into the second space 45 and fill it.
- Overflow channels 63, 64 prevent the paint from flowing over the sealing disks 43, 44 (FIG. 3).
- the fill level of the paint can be determined by a sensor 65 and reported to a paint feed control system explained below.
- the cups of the forme cylinder 8 are filled with color in the space 45 as they rotate in the direction 7 in a known manner. Due to the cavitation occurring on the squeegee 5, trapped air bubbles are torn from the cells, so that these are then completely filled by the slight excess pressure in the space 61 (depending on the viscosity of the ink up to about 2 bar) and by the hydrodynamic effect of the squeegee 6.
- the cylinder surface is then doctored off by means of the doctor blade 27.
- the working squeegee 27 is supported by a rail 66, which is fastened to support fingers 67 of the carrier 12.
- the doctored paint can flow through between the fingers 67 and through bores 68 of the carrier 28 into a collecting trough 69.
- a screw conveyor 71 driven by a motor 70 ensures that the paint is transported back via the hose 72 to a paint supply system.
- the doctor blades 5 and 6 are pressed over the bar 9 by the working cylinder 13 in direction 15 against the surface of the forme cylinder 8, while the working doctor blade 27 is pushed by the working cylinders 33, 34 via the levers 31, 32 and the bar 28 is pressed in the direction 35 against the cylinder surface.
- the levers 31, 32 have balls 73, 127 at their ends, each of which takes them along cylindrical bores 74, 128 in the beam 28.
- the beam 28 can be pivoted about the centers of the balls, so that it, ie the doctor blade 6, can always optimally contact the cylinder surface.
- Discs 75, 76, which are fastened on the beam 28, prevent the paint from flowing into the region of the guides 29, 30.
- Fig. 5 it is also shown that the sealing washers 43, 44 are supported in the direction of 15 against the cylinder surface on surfaces 79 and 80 when pressed by the working cylinders 50, 51 via the drivers 52, 53 and the driver pins 77, 78. Since these surfaces 79, 80 are close to the cylinder surface and at the same time the driver pins 77, 78 engage with play in bores 81 of the sealing disks 43, 44, the sealing disks 43, 44 can be moved by a corresponding slight tilting movement under the pressure of the working cylinders 50, Center 51 on the surface curvature of the forme cylinder 8. This centering is advantageous when the position of the forme cylinder 8 changes, e.g. B. to compensate for different thicknesses of the substrate.
- the doctor device can also be arranged more or less below on the forme cylinder 8.
- the second space 45 which may be present must then be designed with a longitudinal wall. Precautions are also necessary so that rooms 45 and 61 run empty when the doctor device is switched off. For example, this can be done by opening the ink supply.
- Fig. 7 shows the side view of a double printing unit with doctor devices.
- a web 82 to be printed is guided over rollers 83 and 84 between transfer cylinders 85, 86 positioned against one another, with which the print image is taken over by forme cylinders 88, 89 and transferred on both sides to the web 82 guided in the direction 87.
- the UV-CT press technology for the indirect Gravure shown as described in patent application PB 3960.
- Each forme cylinder 88, 89 is assigned two doctor devices 90, 91 and 92, 93, the structure of which corresponds to the doctor device already described above.
- Two squeegee devices 90, 91 and 92, 93 are each supported with a carrier 94 and 95 in a floating position.
- the cups of the forme cylinders 88, 89 are filled by means of the doctor devices 91 and 93, with the UV dryer 96, 97 switched on, by a few cylinder rotations with black paint. Then the doctor devices 91, 93 are switched off and the forme cylinders 88, 89 are imaged with the aid of the laser heads 98, 99. If printing is subsequently to be carried out with black ink, the doctoring devices 91, 93 filled with black ink are set up again for the printing process. If printing with colored ink is to be used instead, the squeegee devices 90, 92 filled with colored ink are turned on. In this way there are also color changes that occur when the web guides are changed to produce different printed products, e.g. B. short runs, are required, quickly realized.
- the doctor devices described are e.g. B. can also be used if the depressions of a cylinder are to be filled with another liquid, for example if a printing form is not to be produced on the forme cylinder with a UV-curable ink but with a filler that can be otherwise solidified.
- a doctor device for applying the special filler for the manufacture of the mold can also be provided.
- the doctor blade devices for conventional gravure printing, gravure printing with water-based inks, for inking anilox rollers per se, for. B. anilox rollers, and other uses.
- the invention also includes equivalents of the exemplary embodiments.
- the application device 129 can also work, for example, only with a doctor blade, or with a chamber doctor blade or with a nozzle application system.
- Fig. 8 shows a controlled ink supply for the doctor devices 90 to 93 of the double printing unit.
- the doctor devices 91 and 93 are provided for the black ink, the doctor devices 90 and 92 for the color ink.
- Via a computer 100 the processes are controlled.
- the entire color supply is based on gentle color treatment, ie the color should be as little as possible, such as. B. by constant pumping, mechanically loaded.
- sensors 101 and 102 report a need for black color
- corresponding valves 103, 104 are opened via computer 100 and color pump 105 is switched on. This presses ink into the doctoring devices 91 and 93 via lines 106, 107.
- the pump 105 is switched off and the valves 103, 104 are closed.
- the returning paint is, as described, fed back into the paint container 112 via screw conveyors 108, 109 and lines 110, 111.
- An agitator 113 can be specifically switched on for color mixing.
- the system for the chromatic color is structured accordingly. After notification by sensors 114, 115, valves 116, 117 are opened on the basis of signals from computer, and ink pump 118 is switched on. The ink is fed to the doctoring devices 90, 92 via lines 119, 120. If the fill level is appropriate, the ink pump 118 is first switched off, then the valves 117, 116 are closed. The scraped paint is fed back into the paint container 125 via screw conveyors 121, 122 and lines 123, 124, where it is specifically mixed with the agitator 126.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for filling depressions of a cylinder of a printing press, for example an anilox roller, with a liquid. The invention further relates to a doctor device particularly suitable for this purpose and a method for changing it.
So muß z. With printing presses, there is an increasingly urgent requirement, in addition to flexibility with regard to the web guidance, to change the printing ink from job to job as quickly as possible. So z. B. a four-color printing machine can often be converted from a four-color printing with a web to a four-web single-color printing. In order to keep downtimes low, this must be done as shortly as possible. These changeover times are particularly important for printing presses for short runs, i.e. printing presses with frequent changes of production type. These include e.g. B. printing presses that are connected to a data network for the decentralized printing of short runs. Such printing machines are e.g. B. described in patent application DE 196 24 395.5. Time-consuming when converting a printing press are e.g. B. Cleaning work on the inking unit.
Ein Farbwechsel würde einen zeitaufwendigen Austausch- und Reinigungsaufwand bedeuten.DE 39 11 839 A1 shows a so-called rinsing inking unit for inking an anilox roller. Here an inking channel is arranged under the anilox roller. Squeegees lie on the anilox roller on both sides of the inking channel. A color change would mean time-consuming replacement and cleaning.
It is an object of the invention to provide a device for filling depressions in a cylinder of a printing press with a liquid which enables a quick change to a different filling liquid. There is also the task of creating a doctor device, which is particularly suitable for this purpose, for filling the depressions and a method for changing the doctor device.
According to the invention, the object in generic devices with the features of the characterizing part of

The doctor blade device shown in FIG. 1 is fastened to the
The working
The
The operation of the doctor device will be explained below with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6. The printing ink with which the wells of a gravure printing plate which the
As shown in FIG. 5, the cups of the
In Fig. 5 it is also shown that the sealing
Damit steht eine sauber gerakelte Zylinderoberfläche für anschließende Bearbeitungsvorgänge, wie Bebildern oder Reinigen, zur Verfügung.6 shows the doctor blade device which has been parked. After the ink supply has stopped, the
The doctor device can also be arranged more or less below on the
Jeweils zwei Rakeleinrichtungen 90, 91 bzw. 92, 93 sind mit jeweils einem Träger 94 bzw. 95 in fliegender Lagerung abgestützt. Fig. 7 shows the side view of a double printing unit with doctor devices. A
The doctor devices described are e.g. B. can also be used if the depressions of a cylinder are to be filled with another liquid, for example if a printing form is not to be produced on the forme cylinder with a UV-curable ink but with a filler that can be otherwise solidified. So z. B. on the
Fig. 8 shows a controlled ink supply for the
The system for the chromatic color is structured accordingly.
