Abstract

The control device comprises a micro-controller (24), a measuring device (26) for measuring a physical variable under the action of a transporting device and a data memory (28) which memorises data from the measuring device under the control of the micro-controller. These are all mounted on a card (14) which moves with the package. Also mounted on the card (14) is a synchronising unit (30) connected to the micro-controller for the periodic acquisition of data. The card has connections to a central monitoring unit (10) so as to enable comparison of the measured data corresponding to the path of the parcel, with data corresponding to an authorised path for the parcel.
