- la figure 1 est une représentation graphique traditionnelle d'un profil de surface de type banal,
- la figure 2 est une demi-vue simplifiée partielle en coupe axiale d'une pièce métallique selon l'invention, permettant de distinguer le profil particulier en succession d'arches associées aplaties,
- la figure 3 est une vue analogue à la figure 2 d'une pièce métallique selon l'invention, recouverte d'une couche de revêtement métallique dont la surface externe présente également le profil particulier en succession d'arches convexes aplaties, et
- la figure 4 est une vue schématique partielle de côté d'un dispositif de mise en oeuvre du procédé de polissage permettant la réalisation du profil particulier de la pièce métallique selon l'invention.
Claims (7)
- Procédé de polissage de la surface externe d'une pièce métallique de révolution pouvant comporter des défauts de forme, comprenant les étapes de mettre en mouvement la pièce métallique (1) par rapport à un outil (15) et d'appliquer l'outil (15) sur une zone de la surface externe de cette pièce de telle sorte qu'il exerce un effort sur celle-ci, caractérisé en ce que l'outil (15) est animé d'un mouvement suiveur de la surface externe de la pièce métallique (1) selon une direction radiale essentiellement normale à celle-ci dans la zone d'application de l'outil, de sorte que l'effort exercé par l'outil (15) sur la pièce (1) reste constant pendant toute la durée du polissage quels que soient les défauts de forme présents sur la surface, jusqu'à obtenir un profil général se présentant en coupe axiale sous la forme d'une succession régulière d'arches convexes aplaties.
- Procédé de polissage selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que la pièce métallique (1) est soutenue à l'aplomb de l'outil (15) en une zone de la surface externe symétrique de la zone d'application de l'outil par rapport à l'axe longitudinal de la pièce métallique.
- Dispositif de mise en oeuvre du procédé de polissage de la surface externe d'une pièce métallique selon la revendication 1 ou la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend un moyen (10, 11) de soutien et de mise en mouvement de la pièce (1) par rapport à un outil (15), l'outil (15) étant monté sur une structure (13, 14) mobile selon une direction sensiblement normale à la surface externe de la pièce (1) pour être appliqué par un vérin d'effort associé (19) sur cette surface en exerçant un effort sur celle-ci, et un moyen de commande du déplacement de la structure mobile (13, 14) en fonction des défauts de forme de la surface externe de la pièce (1).
- Dispositif selon la revendication 3, caractérisé en ce que l'outil (15) est essentiellement constitué par une bande abrasive passant sur une roue de contact (13) et un galet de renvoi (14) formant la structure mobile sur laquelle est montée ledit outil.
- Dispositif selon la revendication 4, caractérisé en ce que l'axe (16) du galet de renvoi (14) est monté pour coulisser dans un plan vertical par l'intermédiaire d'un vérin associé (17) de façon à constituer un galet tendeur.
- Dispositif selon l'une des revendications 3 à 5, caractérisé en ce qu'un patin (21) est disposé à l'aplomb de l'outil (15) pour supporter la pièce métallique (1) selon une direction sensiblement normale à la surface externe de celle-ci.
- Dispositif selon la revendication 6, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte un moyen (22) permettant de régler la position du patin (21) selon une direction sensiblement normale à la surface externe de la pièce (1).
