Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for producing a strand-like fiber composite of glass fibers and at least one additional material in which a variety of glass fibers into an essentially rotationally symmetrical, at least in the circumferential direction except for one Insertion opening can be directed into closed space which they form a fiber vortex that on one end of the room is drawn off as a sliver.
The invention further relates to a device for manufacturing a strand-like fiber composite made of glass fibers and at least one additional material with a Spinning funnel, which has an elongated in its peripheral wall Feed opening and a discharge opening on one end has, and with a trigger device. Finally, the invention relates to a fiber composite in strand form from glass fibers and plastic, in particular from organic fibers.
Glass fibers have proven themselves for many applications. When processed into sheet materials, for example, as a fabric or as a nonwoven they are often a carrier for a coating. Examples for this are roofing membranes or floor coverings. For Fulfillment of the carrier function are made of glass fibers formed fiber associations made certain requirements, especially the stretchability and tear resistance there. Similar requirements also exist then when the fiber dressings with glass fibers only in Strand form are present, for example as roving or Yarn.
Fiber associations consisting only of glass fibers, and Fabrics made from it have a very high Dimensional stability under changing thermal conditions. They are also generally highly tear-resistant, can almost not be stretched. For this Basically, it is known to use plastic or glass fibers To combine synthetic fibers. For fabric carrier webs is it known, for example, to design them in multiple layers, namely a layer of fiberglass fabric and one Layer made of synthetic fiber. Draw synthetic fibers because of its high elongation. However, you have only little dimensional stability. Because of of temperature fluctuations then the Synthesis carrier web, and the smallest waves are created, since the glass fiber carrier web does not expand and also does not shrink. Moisture can enter the waves penetrate, so that for example in roofing membranes leakage can result here.
Experiments have therefore already been made, the combination of glass fibers and synthetic fibers in the manufacture to effect the fiber composite. So it is out DE 36 34 904 A1 known, the drum for pulling out and producing the glass fibers, fibers or threads to feed another material, which is then parallel with the glass fibers in the closed space of the Spinning funnel are directed and swirled together there become. The plastic can for example the drum can be sprayed on. This results in a relatively homogeneous fiber mixture, i.e. in the fiber composite are glass fibers and plastic fibers in cross section with a statistical distribution in front.
The invention has for its object the structure to be able to control the fiber composite better.
This task is carried out in a method of the aforementioned Art solved in that the additional material in the room is brought in.
This makes it possible to assign the glass fibers and to train the additional material in a more targeted manner. It is thus, for example, a certain distribution of glass fibers and additional material across the cross section to achieve the fiber composite. In particular you can achieve that the glass fiber swirl and the additional material built up practically concentric to each other, which was not possible with the known method.
It is particularly preferred here that the additional material is introduced from the front, that of the opposite, from which the sliver is drawn off. On the one hand, this makes handling easier. You can do that Space where the swirl takes place, essentially leave unchanged. On the other hand, it results from this the possibility of a targeted combination of To be able to make glass fibers and the additional material.
The additional material is preferably in the form of a strand. This strand, for example a fiber composite made of staple fibers or filaments or a single monofilament, can then be combined with the glass fibers be, so that you get a fiber composite from the swirled Glass fibers and the strand-like additional material receives. The glass fibers then ensure within the fiber composite for some dimensional stability while the additional material cause other properties can, for example, improved stretchability.
It is particularly preferred here that the additional material is guided essentially centrally through the room. for example, the additional material can already be used lead through the room before the glass fibers are introduced become. The additional material then makes it easier pulling the glass fibers out of the room. Of special However, the properties of the resulting are advantageous Fiber composite. The fiber composite has one Soul from the additional material on that of the glass fibers is surrounded. So that is the soul or the core of protected the glass fibers. For example, if the soul consists of a flammable material, then you can a better one due to the cladding by the glass fibers Achieve fire behavior with a carrier that with Is produced with the help of such a fiber composite, i.e. such a material can then be exposed to fire withstand longer. You get the structure with Core or soul made of additional material and casing through glass fibers in a relatively simple way. The emerging The fiber composite can still be twisted. But this does not have to be the case. You can see the fiber composite also process as roving, which is the advantage has that you have a higher area coverage in the manufacture of sheet materials and can achieve none Yarn production is what the manufacture of Surface materials cheaper. Nevertheless, there are Surface materials stable enough.
The additional material is preferably composed of several filaments educated. This improves the connection between the glass fibers and the additional material. In the The filaments of the additional material loosen when swirled slightly different from each other and thus allow the Glass fibers can then be easily held.
It is also preferred if the additional material is surface-treated is. Such a surface treatment serves to ensure that the glass fibers adhere to the additional material to increase.
It is particularly preferred that the additional material is textured. Texturing itself is known to increase the volume of the additional material. Man in the present case, it can advantageously also use the ability of the glass fibers to improve the additional material.
Alternatively or in addition to this, the additional material be provided with an adhesion promoter. The Glass fibers then stick to the surface of the additional material firmly.
In a preferred embodiment, the fiber composite can be heat treated. Here you can then Melt the glass fibers with the additional material. A in many cases there is no intimate fusion necessary or desired. It is usually sufficient if the glass fibers after the heat treatment on the additional material cling to.
This is particularly advantageous if the additional material is a plastic. Here are enough relatively low temperatures in order to soften plastic, especially organic fibers, to lead so that the glass fibers are sufficient Can enter into connection with the plastic. The Use of plastics as additional material is on known. So far, however, it was limited because one by combining the glass fibers with the plastic has generated fire protection behavior that has many requirements was no longer fair. If you now the Plastic coated with the glass fibers, so to speak, then you can drastically improve fire protection behavior and the advantages of a combination of glass fibers and enjoy plastics, namely a high dimensional stability at changing temperatures simultaneous elasticity under mechanical stress. Such a fiber composite is, for example protected against flying flames and radiant heat, so that the fiber composite also for the production of roofing membranes can be used if initially a flat carrier material is made from the fiber composite.
Polyester is preferably used as the plastic. Polyester has due to its mechanical properties, especially because of its elasticity, for the combination has proven itself.
The object is achieved in a device of the type mentioned Art solved in that at the trigger opening opposite end face a feed device is arranged for at least one additional material.
As explained in connection with the method, lets the structure of the fiber composite with the feed device Taxes. The additional material can be due to the Arrangement of the feeder on the front of the Spinning funnel can be fed relatively selectively so that the additional material is in a predetermined position located in the cross section of the fiber composite.
The feed device preferably has a thread dispenser on. A thread dispenser dispenses a thread. The Additional material can then be present as a "thread" and later be wound by the glass fibers. The string" can take many different forms. It can be a monofilament, it can but also yarns made from several filaments or staple fibers be. It can also be a relatively loose one Trade a combination of individual fibers. Finally you can also use a wire, for example one Copper wire.
The feed device preferably has a swirling device on. Especially when the additional material can be formed from several filaments the swirling device ensure that this Filaments are somewhat detached from each other, so that later holding the glass fibers is facilitated.
It is also advantageous if there is a behind the exhaust opening Swirling device is arranged. With help this swirler can hold the forces increase within the fiber composite.
A heat treatment device is preferably located behind the exhaust opening arranged. With this you can see the fiber composite heat, for example around a plastic core to melt or soften. In this In this case, the glass fiber can adhere better.
In the fiber composite of the type mentioned the improvement of the structure achieved that the Plastic formed as the core of the fiber composite which is wound by the glass fibers.
As stated above, this can be an improved one Achieve fire protection behavior. The plastic soul or the plastic core are surrounded by the Glass fibers, for example, are protected from flight fire. The Glass fibers also shield radiant heat, so that to take advantage of a combination of glass fibers and Plastic can perceive without most of the disadvantages to have to put up with.
The plastic is advantageously as filament or Staple fiber sliver or staple fiber yarn formed. The glass fibers added when swirling then have the opportunity to get to the surface of the plastic.
This possibility will be improved if the Plastic is textured. Resulting from the texturing volume increase on the one hand and an opening in the surface so that the glass fibers can penetrate and hold on there, so to speak. This applies especially to filaments.
In a preferred embodiment it is provided that the glass fibers surround the soul as a vortex of fibers. In order to a roving is obtained as a fiber composite, i.e. a relative large-volume fiber composite. This will make it easier later the production of surface materials because one can achieve a higher area coverage. The Plastic soul is not completely wound here. The training in which the glass fibers act as a fiber swirl around the soul are enough, however out to the desired properties in particular to achieve in terms of fire protection behavior.
The weight ratio is preferably between Glass fibers and plastic in the range from 5:95 to 80:20. You are relatively flexible with the fiber composite adapt to different requirements.
The invention also relates to a fabric made of a fiber composite, which is manufactured and assembled as described above is. Such a fabric has a relatively good one Fire protection behavior.
Preferably one can of such a fabric and a coating, for example of bitumen, a Create roofing membrane. This is dimensionally stable and stays long even with changing environmental temperatures Time tight. On the other hand, it has a sufficient one Fire protection behavior to meet safety requirements to become.

The glass fibers are produced as in DE 36 34 904 A1 described. On this publication reference is expressly made.

The

In gleicher
