Hierzu ist das erfindungsgemäße dekorative Flächenelement zum Simulieren eines echten Fenster derart aufgebaut, daß es einen Rahmen und eine von dem Rahmen umrahmte lichtdurchlässige oder reflektierende Scheibe umfaßt. Die Scheibe kann aus glasartigem Material bestehen, so daß der Eindruck einer echten Glasscheibe entsteht. Andererseits ist es auch denkbar, Platten aus anderen Materialien zu verwenden, beispielsweise wie Spiegel reflektierende Metallplatten oder dergleichen mehr, solange sich die Platte dazu eignet, eine wie auch immer geartete Fensterscheibe mit einem Raum dahinter zu simulieren. Das dekorative Flächenelement ist an der Außenseite des Torblattes befestigbar. Selbst Fensterformen, die bei echten Fenstern in Torblättern aus Stabilitätsgründen niemals einsetzbar wären, sind realisierbar. So läßt sich nahezu jedes Torblatt vor dem Einbau oder auch nachträglich (auch im Zuge einer Gebäuderenovierung) an die Gebäudefassade anpassen.
