Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for isolating infectious patients and a protective suit for infectious patients.
It has been observed for some time that more and more patients with germs come to the hospitals, which are largely resistant to antibiotics. It is a fact that through the increased feeding in animal husbandry with admixed antibiotics they are deposited in animal meat and get into humans through food intake. The result is that antibiotics are becoming ineffective in more and more people, because the body has become accustomed to it and the bacteria and germs are resistant. Therefore, these germs and bacteria can only be tackled with a very elaborate special treatment. This problem is progressively increasing in hospitals, so that such patients must be taken to special wards, so that other patients are not infected. For these stations, both personnel and material equipment, bed linen, etc. are subject to very strict and special disinfection measures.
If such patients for treatment, such as X-ray, magnetic resonance imaging and other brought from the special station in the treatment room, there is a risk that, for example, by contact with the contaminated patients, these bacteria on the staff or Transport, but also be transferred to the treatment equipment, so that after each use by such a patient a very complex and costly disinfection must take place.
It is a transport container for contaminated persons who are accidentally contaminated or contaminated by fighting chemical substances known (US 4,485,806), with which the injured person should be transported away from the contaminated environment and a decontamination to be supplied. In order to protect the person handling the casualty from contamination, the container consists of two casings. Both casings have a closable and openable opening, through which a contamination-free gap is formed, in which the treating personnel can intervene and supply the casualties to the decontamination, without even coming into contact with it. This known transport container is not only very complicated and complicated to handle, but also insufficient for the treatment needs in a hospital.
It is also known a protective suit (
The object of the invention is therefore to find ways and means to prevent a simple and effective way of contamination of the treatment equipment and personnel during transport and treatment and thus the disinfection effort in hospitals to avoid or at least significantly reduce.
This object is achieved by the features of the
The protective suit according to the invention has closures and is cut so that the protective suit in its open position represents a fabric on which the patient is placed, and the patient in this fabric adapted to his body is wrapped under closure of the closures. In this case, the protective suit can wrap the patient as a whole or be adapted to individual limbs. It is sufficient for a pure transport function and it is most expedient if the patient is completely enveloped by the protective suit, without the protective suit adapted to individual limbs. For treatment purposes, however, it has been found to be advantageous, for example, to provide two separate leg pockets or sleeves with sleeves or other closable openings to access individual parts or areas of the body and / or limbs for treatment. In order to ensure the widest possible enclosure of the patient during the treatment, a separate pocket is provided for each leg, which can be opened independently of the other leg pocket. The cut is designed so that the support side of the patient remains at the opening of the suit a closed area, so that the treatment table can not be contaminated. For X-ray or nuclear spin tomographic treatments, it is important that the closures of the suit are not magnetic, especially non-metallic. It is therefore preferred Velcro or zippers made of plastic used.
In order to be able to wrap a patient unable to move, the protective suit can also be designed as a fabric that is laid over the patient, including his bedding, wherein the head is received in a hood with a face cutout. In order to open this suit also for treatment purposes, appropriate, closable openings are provided.
Finally, it is important that the protective suit is made of an anti-microbial or cocci-isolating material. Here surprisingly a fabric of microfibers has both proven by its insulating effect, as well as its washability, so that the protective suit is often reusable.
Protective suits as such are nothing new in themselves and are used for a variety of purposes. Thus, DE 87 03 376 U1 a one-piece nursing suit is known to prevent the incontinent and disoriented persons to remove their diaper inserts. This suit has zipper openings for the purpose of covering the protective suit and the possibility of exposing the problem zone for cleaning the patient. The zippers can only be operated by means of a special hook wrench so that the patient can not open them himself. The suit should nevertheless give the care-requiring wearer freedom of movement like a piece of clothing. As a protective suit for infectious patients, however, this suit is not suitable, in particular because it is difficult to apply to bedridden and sick patients who are handicapped in their movement. In addition, there is a risk that the nursing staff who helps to create himself contaminates himself.
It is also a patient surgical suit has become known (DE 75 00 349 U1), which should prevent in addition to the protection against cooling after surgery, a germ release from the skin of the patient in the surrounding air of the operating room. However, this is a fully closed suit that must be worn by the patient. For this purpose, an overlapping incision is provided as the only opening. For access during surgery, appropriate openings are cut into the suit, which is intended as a disposable item. Apart from the fact that a reuse of this suit is not possible and also the patient must always be able to cover himself with this suit, this suit has the disadvantage that the cut Openings can no longer be closed and thus at these points no contamination protection is given.
Dieses bekannte Kleidungsstück kann keinen Kontaminationsschutz im Sinne der Erfindung bieten.US 4,382,303 describes the manufacture of a medical examination shirt or a children's suit suitable for similar purposes, which keeps the train away and gives off heat, yet should be able to open quickly for the body to be released quickly (abstract, first four lines). Although the garment is intended to be made from a single piece of nonwoven polyester film material which is appropriately cut for the front and back and has sleeve portions. The fabric is folded over the length and is provided in the middle with a neckline. On the sides front part and back part are connected to each other by an ultrasonic weld. As a result, this protective suit can not spread as a fabric over the bedding when opening, but only partially open (diagonal). For example, the arms can not be exposed at all. This known garment can provide no contamination protection in the context of the invention.
Compared to the prior art, the novelty and particularity of the medical protective suit according to the invention is that the protective suit is designed as a fabric with closures on which the patient is placed or those on the patient is spread and the patient is wrapped in this fabric. As a result, the protective suit is easy to apply even in motion-impaired or immobile patients, without the nursing staff itself contaminated.

The
The handling of the suit is very simple and can also be applied to patients who can not even put on a protective suit. First, the open
In the protective suit described with reference to Figure 1, an opening in the whole or a leg part is partially or completely provided. However, it is possible to place the zippers so that other parts of the body or limbs for special treatments are accessible while the patient remains covered as such.
There are therefore more zippers 15 'and 16' provided to expose only the foot or the leg or even the thigh. When you open the zippers 15 'or 16', each of which extends to the edge of the suit, this
Figure 2 shows another embodiment of a
In order to enable a perfect closure with easy handling, such a stitching of
Das Schließen des Schutzanzuges erfolgt durch Klettverschlüsse 23.The protective suit is cut so that the patient does not have to cover it, but is wrapped in it from head to toe. That is, the
The closures must hold well, must not rise, but on the other hand, the disinfection by washing and disinfectant well survive and must not contain any metal parts in particular for X-ray treatments and MRI examinations.
As already mentioned above, the protective suit must be suitable for treatment. This means that the material does not interfere with the treatment or examination with respect to magnetism (magnetic resonance imaging), radiological examinations and X-rays. This is especially true for the closures. For example, it is also possible to lead infusion leads to the infusion needle of the patient through the suit, so that the patient no longer has to be touched during infusions.
Figure 3 shows a further embodiment of the protective suit, wherein the protective suit 3 - similar to Figure 1 - equipped with
Figure 4 shows another type of protective suit according to the invention, in which for the wrapping of the patient this is not placed on the open protective suit, but the
The fabric used for the protective suits consists of a bacteriological insulating material which is breathable but impermeable to water. For the already proven suits, a fabric made of microfiber was used. This substance has been found in tests as isolable against bacteria and germs. This fabric also has several disinfectant treatments, such as cooking in the wash and other, several times perfectly survived without losing its insulating effect.
The invention has great economic and medical significance.
