Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for protecting body parts or objects from
mechanical impacts or shocks according to the preamble of
Known devices for protecting body parts, such as joints, exist Made of relatively stiff materials and are therefore very comfortable to wear. About that In addition, bumps or blows over such materials become too high transferred outside to the body part or object to be protected and one too small Share of impact energy absorbed. Even with helmets, too much of the Impact energy is transmitted to the skull in the event of an accident or impact, causing Trauma to the skull and brain can occur.
For example, DE 44 21 110 A1 or EP 0 586 932 A2 include helmets known improved safety properties and greater comfort. Protectors especially for motorcyclists are, for example, in DE 197 11 754 A1 or DE 196 47 724 A1. Finally, DE 34 16 644 A1 shows a gymnastics and Floor mat with optimal damping and suspension properties to reduce the Joint stress.
The parameters for such protective devices are the transmitted forces, the so-called "transmitted forces", which in the case of blows of a specified strength are limited by the Protective layer can be transmitted to the body part or object to be protected. in the In the case of protective devices for the human head, the so-called "g-value" is used Identification of the protective effect application over which the delay in the event of a Accident is characterized.
So far, attempts have been made to use an increased layer thickness of a shock-absorbing material Achieve reduction in transmitted forces. However, studies have shown that from a certain layer thickness, there is no longer a significant reduction in the transmitted forces is possible. In addition, the protectors are accepted from a certain layer thickness no longer given, since in the case of protective clothing it is not sufficient There is more freedom of movement and the weight and price of the protective device increase dramatically.
The aim of the present invention is therefore to provide the protective effect specified at the outset Facility to further increase and thus contribute to the body or object better and more effective protection against knocks or bumps. The disadvantages of known systems should be reduced or avoided. In particular, a certain level of comfort should If used as body protection. In addition, one is possible to pay attention to the economic production possibility.
The object of the invention is achieved in that the layers of different shock-absorbing materials, with at least one layer made of the material higher shock-absorbing effect is arranged in the direction of the acting force and at least one layer of the material with a lower shock absorbing effect in Direction of the body part or object to be protected is arranged. By a such a layered combination of differently good shock absorbing materials a further reduction in the transmitting forces or a further increase in the shock-absorbing effect achieved.
According to a further feature of the invention it is provided that the or each layer from the Material with higher shock absorbing effect made of nitrile PVC foam and the or each Layer of lower impact absorbing material made of polyolefin foam consists. Such materials show good shock-absorbing properties with cheap ones Manufacturing and processing costs. The highly shock-absorbing materials are included responsible for absorbing the main energy of the impact or impact energy, the low shock absorbing foams are used to reduce residual energy.
The ratio of the thickness of the or each layer is advantageously from shock absorbing material to the thickness of the or each layer low shock absorbing material 2: 1 to 5: 1. This makes particularly good values for the maximum transmitted forces reached. In practice, these are in the area below 4 kN, a value that is lower than in the relevant standards (e.g. prEN 1621) specified limit values.
According to a further feature of the invention it is provided that the layers are loose are arranged one above the other. By arranging the layers without connection the layers can be shifted against each other, creating a higher one Flexibility of the overall arrangement achieved and thereby e.g. in the case of body protection achieved greater comfort and adaptability to the body parts can be. A higher number of layers also helps to increase flexibility, because the more layers can be shifted against each other.
As an alternative to the possibility mentioned above, the layers can also be used together connected, for example glued, sewn or the like. By appropriate choice of Adhesive and the type of seam can also shift in certain areas be allowed.
In particular when arranging the layers without connecting means, these can be in accordance with another feature of the invention to be surrounded by an envelope. This Wrapping in the case of protective clothing, for example, by the fabric of the each piece of clothing itself.
The object of the invention is also achieved in that the shock absorbing material in the form of granules, small-sized material or the like. Which is from a Wrapping is surrounded. With such an arrangement, on the one hand, it becomes a very good one shock-absorbing effect and, on the other hand, high wearing comfort. requirement this is because the granules or small pieces of material do not have the highest packing density in the casing is filled, but a certain looseness results in the arrangement, so that in the event of a shock or impact, the air pockets contained in the envelope can be displaced in a certain compression phase and only then Impact energy is absorbed. As a result, impacts have a much gentler effect on those under the Body parts or objects located device according to the invention.
According to a further feature of the invention it is provided that the granules or small-scale material consists of nitrile PVC foams. Such materials have in excellent properties in terms of shock-absorbing effect.
The size of the granulate or small-piece material is advantageously in the range of a few mm. By varying the size, shape and packing density of the Granules or small pieces of material in the casing can relate to the properties be varied for flexibility and shock-absorbing effect.
According to a further feature of the invention, the covering is made of air-permeable Material built up or provided with perforations or the like. This will exit the trapped air in the event of compression and thereby the shock-absorbing effect improved.
According to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that the covering is made of consists of several chambers, which are separated by seams or the like. On such a structure allows the device according to the invention to be adapted various forms of objects or body parts to be protected and increases the Flexibility and comfort. In the simplest case, the chambers can pass through Welding together of plastic foils and granules arranged in between become.

The embodiment of the shock absorbing layer according to FIG. 1 consists of a total of four
2 schematically shows an embodiment of the invention in the form of
Grenzen gesetzt.Fig. 3 shows an image of an object according to the invention in the form of an
In contrast to rather stiff protective devices, the present ones Execution of the invention, in particular the execution with granulate, an essential higher wearing comfort with a better shock-absorbing effect. As Examples of applications would be head and back protectors for humans Body, but also protective devices for sensitive objects against shocks or To call blows. The devices according to the invention can be used anywhere where shock energy is absorbed and the part of the body underneath or Object should be protected as well as possible from the impact or impact.
