- the invention has for its object a device according to the preamble of claim 1 to develop further, so that they are difficult to use processable coating compositions evenly coated papers without provides visible stripes.
- the leveling device comprises at least one structural roller, the enveloping surface of which has a thread-like structure.
- a paper web 1 that has already been pre-impregnated with resin is if necessary, has already dried in the horizontal direction Deflection roller 2 supplied. It wraps around the deflection roller 2 in the area of a Arc of 180 °, which is approximately in the six o'clock position through the stop line 3 and in the Zwölschreib position is limited by drain line 4. Then the runs Paper web 1 in the horizontal direction, as symbolized by arrow 5 a dryer, not shown.
- a metering roller 6 with a smooth outer surface arranged. It has the same in the illustrated embodiment Diameter as the deflection roller 2.
- the axes of the deflection roller 2 and Metering roller 6 are parallel to each other at the same height in a, not shown Machine frame stored.
- the storage of one of the two rollers 2, 6 is in slidable horizontally so that the width of the between the two Rolls 2, 6 existing narrow gap is variable.
- the metering roller 6 is as well as the deflection roller 2 provided with a drive.
- the drives of the two Rollers 2, 6 are mechanically or electrically coupled, so that the rollers 2, 6 circulate synchronously or approximately synchronously, that is preferably with coinciding surface speed, which is the conveying speed of the Paper web corresponds.
- a slot nozzle 7 for applying the Coating compound Under the deflection roller 2 is a slot nozzle 7 for applying the Coating compound arranged.
- the slot nozzle 7 is the ramp line 3 adjacent.

- the enveloping surface of the structure roller 9 has a thread-like structure.
- the in Figure 5 The illustrated structural roller has a helical groove 12 provided, which essentially correspond to the working width over the whole Length of the structural roller 9 extends.
- the one between neighboring corridors remaining web 13 is rectangular in section and has approximately the same width as the groove 12.
- the envelope surface therefore has the structure of a single thread.
- the structure roller illustrated in FIG. 6 differs from this in that that they have a multi-start, namely with a three-start thread is provided. As a result, the cross-section of the grooves and webs remains unchanged Pitch increased accordingly, as well as the pitch angle.
- the structure roller illustrated in FIG. 7 is with a system of helical grooves of the same pitch with opposite Screw sense provided.
- the system comprises three right-handed and three left-handed grooves.
- the left-hand grooves correspond to those in FIG. 6 illustrated grooves. Due to the intersecting grooves, the roller becomes a flat relief of diamond-shaped islands 14, reminiscent of a tile covering worked out, whose one diagonal is parallel to the roller axis. The second diagonal is at right angles to it.
- the paper web 1 runs with one in operation Speed between about 10 and 70 m / min, preferably between 20 and 50 m / min through.
- Coating compound which consists of liquid resin and fine corundum particles suspended in it Excess applied directly to the paper web.
- the layer thus formed is in split the narrow gap between the deflection roller 2 and the metering roller 6, so that part of the coating compound sticks to the paper, the other part is carried by the metering roller 6. Excess coating mass is in stuck in the gap and drips. Because the surface speeds of the two Rollers 2, 6 have the same direction and preferably at least approximately are the same size, cause the abrasives contained in the coating material Particles no significant wear on the metering roller 6.
- the layer ⁇ adhering to the paper web on average about 30 to 100 g / m 2 - is initially uneven, so that longitudinal stripes are clearly visible.
- the stripes can be explained by the fact that the liquid coating composition tends to contract due to the surface tension when the layer is split up in the nip due to the fact that it contracts at certain points, more or less evenly distributed over the width.
- the profile of the layer adhering to the paper web has maxima, which appear as narrow strips.

- the structure roller 9 is set so that it touches the paper web.
- the quick rotating structure roller 9 in the embodiment according to FIG. 5 or FIG. 6 exercises ⁇ mit comparable to a snail - the one accumulated in the strips Coating composition in the direction of its axis, that is to say transversely to the paper web 1 promoting effect.
- the prerequisite is, of course, that the Surface speed of the structural roller 9 in the engagement area considerably the speed at which the paper web 1 deviates in the direction of the arrow 5 deviates emotional.
- the one-sided promotional effect the other edge of the paper web. Through the promotional effect thickened strips blurred in the transverse direction, so to speak.
- the structure roller 9 therefore has only a comparative effect, but no influence on the dosage. Out For this reason, the structure roller 9 is different than the metering roller 6- does not depend on extreme dimensional accuracy. There is hardly any wear Influence on the effectiveness of the structural roller 9. Therefore, the structural roller causes 9 not particularly high costs.
- the downstream smooth roller 10 which is also at high speed rotates, causes a further equalization.
- a roller can also be used as the structural roller 9 can be used, the envelope surface has the structure illustrated in Figure 7.
- the coating material accumulated in the strips is separated by the ⁇ in Direction of surface speed seen- front, in relation to the Surface velocity of oblique-angled edges of diamond-shaped islands 14 partly removed to one side and partly to the other side. This will make one even distribution achieved.
- the exemplary embodiment illustrated in FIG. 2 is characterized in particular by that the leveling device 8 two structure rollers 9, 9a arranged one behind the other includes. Another difference is that the slot nozzle 7 of Dosing roller 6 is assigned.
- the leveling device comprises a Doctor blade 15, which is arranged in the web run in front of the structural roller 9. It exists from a substantially rectangular tab 16 made of flexible, rubber-like Material on its rear edge parallel to the axis of the structural roller 9 is attached on one side to a retaining bar 17 and slack on the by the Deflection roller 2 running upper strand of the paper web 1 rests. Rag 16 already causes a certain amount of pre-legalization.
- This also differs Embodiment according to Figure 3 of the previously discussed embodiments in that the metering roller 6 is assigned a similar doctor blade 18.
- the associated holding bar 19 is arranged obliquely above the metering roller 6, namely on the side facing away from the deflection roller 2.
- FIG. 3 a differs from that of Figure 3 in that the doctor blade 15 formerly seen in the direction of travel - behind the Structural roller 9 is arranged so that the tab 16 on the support roller 11 the paper web 1 rests. Any oblique lines that are still visible behind the structural roller 9 running strips are smoothed by the tab 16.
- the metering roller 6 is almost vertical ⁇ About the deflection roller 2 in the Elzen position. Therefore goes through the paper web between dosing and leveling only a relatively short distance and only requires a correspondingly short time interval. That has, like attempts have shown a positive influence on the equalization.

Die Beschichtungsmasse soll mittels eines Drahtrakels, eines Reverse Coating Systems oder einer Rasterwalze aufgetragen werden.DE 195 08 797 C1 describes a process for the production of decorative paper for use in the production of abrasion-resistant laminates. On this Device that has proven itself on an industrial scale for some time the invention builds up. In the known device, the metering roller is included the deflection roller synchronized so that the surface speeds of the the two rollers on the metering gap match in size and direction. Between the metering roller and the one adhering to the paper web There is therefore no relative speed of the coating composition. In this way is the wear of the metering roller by the in the coating mass contained abrasive particles as small as possible. But you remove the writing that the synchronism of the two rollers causes another problem: In the narrow gap between the metering roller and the deflection roller the layer already adhering to the paper web becomes different than with one counter-rotating metering roller- split, so that part of the coating mass the paper web sticks, another part is carried by the metering roller. After the paper web has passed through the nip, the adhering one is Layer still uneven at first, so that longitudinal stripes are clearly visible. In order to eliminate this stripe pattern, a leveling device is provided, namely a doctor blade consisting of a substantially rectangular tab Made of a flexible rubber-like material attached to its back, to the Axes of the two rollers parallel edge fixed on one side to a holding bar is and slack on the upper run of the deflecting roller Paper web rests.
Depending on the consistency of the coating mass, which is due to the different Recipes of the individual manufacturers of decor paper noticeable differences may have, but such a cloth is not always sufficient to make unwanted stripe patterns completely invisible.
According to US-PS 19 39 012 is used to smooth the surface of damp Brick moldings used a snail. One filled with damp clay The mold is moved under the rotating screw. Doing so excess clay stripped off. It falls into a shaft arranged on the side and is recycled.
The rotating snail carries like a scraper from the surface of the one below it continuous, already set gypsum fibreboard that is still damp or already can be dried, fine particles from the conveying action of the screw be transported to the edge and fall into a container there.

According to FIG. 1, a
Papierbahn entspricht.In addition to the
Beschichtungsmasse angeordnet. Die Schlitzdüse 7 ist der Auflauflinie 3
benachbart.Under the
In kurzem Abstand,

The enveloping surface of the
The structure roller illustrated in FIG. 6 differs from this in that that they have a multi-start, namely with a three-start thread is provided. As a result, the cross-section of the grooves and webs remains unchanged Pitch increased accordingly, as well as the pitch angle.
zweite Diagonale liegt rechtwinkelig dazu. The structure roller illustrated in FIG. 7 is with a system of
helical grooves of the same pitch with opposite
Screw sense provided. The system comprises three right-handed and three
left-handed grooves. The left-hand grooves correspond to those in FIG. 6
illustrated grooves. Due to the intersecting grooves, the roller becomes
a flat relief of diamond-
Partikel keinen nennenswerten Verschleiß an der Dosierwalze 6.In the device according to FIG. 1, the
The layer ― adhering to the paper web on average about 30 to 100 g / m 2 - is initially uneven, so that longitudinal stripes are clearly visible. The stripes can be explained by the fact that the liquid coating composition tends to contract due to the surface tension when the layer is split up in the nip due to the fact that it contracts at certain points, more or less evenly distributed over the width. At these points, the profile of the layer adhering to the paper web has maxima, which appear as narrow strips. Experience has shown that the width of a strip is usually around 5 mm. The distance between two adjacent strips is usually between about 10 and 30 mm. The unwanted stripe pattern sometimes changes in an unpredictable way.
verdickten Streifen dabei in Querrichtung sozusagen verwischt.
9 keine besonders hohen Kosten.The
The downstream
Through the
In the device according to FIG. 1, a roller can also be used as the
It differs from the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1 just described
The exemplary embodiment illustrated in FIG. 2 is characterized in particular by
that the
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3, the leveling device comprises a
The embodiment illustrated by FIG. 3 a differs from
that of Figure 3 in that the
In the embodiment shown in Figure 4, the
