Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a fuse for the middle and High voltage range. Such fuses are used to Overcurrents, e.g. as a result of short circuits occur to interrupt.
From US-A-4 638 283 a generic fuse is known which has a core of cruciform cross-section made of electrically insulating material in a housing, which is wound in a helical manner by band-shaped fuse elements. The core carries axially spaced successive rings, each of which, where they are crossed by a securing element, have a recess in which an erosion body is arranged which contains an igniter, for example made of KClO 4 , in particular with an addition of boron, and in remaining from an erosion material, e.g. B. consists of Al, KClO 4 and silica gel as a binder. An ignition circuit, which connects the connections to one another and is made of a wire with a relatively high resistance, in each case connects a series of axially successive erosion bodies, where the wire is guided through the igniters. A gas-generating element made of hydrated aluminum silicate, boron phosphate and a binder as well as optional zirconium is attached to the securing element. The housing is with an extinguishing medium such. B. Filled with quartz sand. If a fuse element is melted at one point, considerably more current flows through the ignition circuit, so that the ignition of the burn-off bodies is triggered and the fuse elements are interrupted at a number of axially spaced locations.
A similarly constructed fuse is known from US-A-4,486,734. There, the burning material is a mixture of a metal such as Zr, Hf, Th, Al, Mg as the fuel, an oxidizer such as KClO 4 or another perchlorate or chlorate and a binder such as silica gel.
Another similar fuse (US-A-4 319 212) are incisions on the outside of the Ribs of the core, over which securing elements run, with filled with an erosion material, e.g. B. a mixture of Al or Mg oxide and a filler such as mica, glass fiber, Asbestos or quartz powder and a binder such as polyester.
In another fuse (EP-A-0 641 005) the core is coated with a burn-off material which consists of a gas-generating material such as guanidine carbonate or acetate, diphenylguanidine, a guanine, melamine, hydantoin or allantoin derivative or a cyanurate and one film-forming polymer such as polyurethane, acrylic, melamine or melamine formaldehyde resin as a binder. It can also contain an addition of hydrated aluminum, CaCO 3 , boric acid or Mg (OH) 2 .
According to EP-A-0 657 910, the housing is otherwise one similar fuse filled up with a sand whose grains coated with a mixture of an erosion material are made of a gas generating material like guanidine, Guanidine carbonate or acetate, 1,3-diphenylguanidine, guanine, Melamine, urea, hydantoin or Al-lantoin and one Binders such as urethane, melamine, epoxy resin, polyester or acrylic in particular.
According to US-A-4 099 153 is around a core of four parallel Rods helically wound a safety wire, which is followed by several axially spaced one after the other the core made of gas-emitting material is clamped against one of the rods.
From US-A-3 705 373 a fuse with a band-shaped securing element, which on several consecutive places is weakened by holes one of them also through a layer of low melting Material like Sn or Cd. In parallel there is a wire e.g. B. an Al core and a Pd jacket. That melts Securing element at one point, so much flows Current through the wire that melts the Al core and reacts explosively with the Pd jacket, causing the Securing element is interrupted in several places.
All the fuses described have in common that they are only address if at least one securing element has melted. They are only for that Interruption of large overcurrents - usually around the triple nominal current - suitable, such Cause melting. The interruption of smaller ones However, there is no overflow with them, or at least not reliable and fast enough.
The invention is based on the object of securing specify that quickly and safely even with small overcurrents responds and reliably cuts off the current. This Task is characterized by the characteristics in the claim 1 solved.
The fuse according to the invention speaks long before A fuse element melts. Your resistance increases rapidly after response, so a quick Interruption even of relatively small overcurrents, especially in the critical range between 1.1 times and three times the nominal current.

Gemäss einer ersten Ausführungsform ist das
Sicherungselement 6 jeweils als Streifen aus einem
geeigneten schmelzbaren elektrisch leitenden Material,

The fuse also has an
B. Fe2O3. A material that releases a large amount of extinguishing gas during combustion is preferably used as the fuel. Guanidines and guanidine derivatives such as diguanidinium-5,5'-azotetrazolate (GZT), guadine nitrate and guanidine acetate, of which mixtures can also be used, have proven particularly useful. To increase the heat release, an additive consisting of at least one metal such as Mg, Al, Zr, Hf, Th can also be added. Suitable oxidizers are oxygen-rich compounds, especially nitrates, chlorates, perchlorates and permanganates such as KNO 3 , NaNO 3 , NH 4 NO 3 , KClO 4 , NaClO4, KMnO 4 . When adding an additive to the fuel, it is favorable to add a metal oxide to the oxidizer, which undergoes a thermitic reaction with at least one of the metals contained therein, e.g. B. Fe 2 O 3 . Oxidator is present in the erosion material in a stoichiometric amount, its proportion is generally at least by a factor of 1.1, but preferably in a higher ratio, e.g. B. between 10: 1 and 15: 1 superstoichiometric. This leads to complete oxidation of the fuel in a very rapid reaction.
By selecting and metering the oxidizer in such a way that it a sufficient amount at a certain temperature Releases oxygen, the ignition temperature of the Burning material with relatively great accuracy-i. a. can be set to ± 10 ° C. Thereby values between 160 ° C and 260 ° C, preferably not more than 240 ° C prefers. The amount of heat released is at least 200 J / g, preferably at least 300 J / g. Possibly in Metals contained in fuel are made by the previously incineration of the organic part of the same also brought to ignition temperature and then perform one essential contribution to heat release.
Kontakt steht.
To produce favorable mechanical properties, the erosion material can also contain a binder that the erosion material z. B. makes it spreadable or extrudable. Here
especially suitable is paraffin or beeswax, polyester

it becomes kneadable and then using a kneader with the

Another option is to add over

It is also possible to have a
an mehreren in Längsrichtung voneinander beabstandeten
Stellen in Kontakt steht. Gemäss Fig. 6a,b sind zwei
Abbrandelemente 8 bandförmig ausgebildet und wie die beiden
wiederum als Streifen aus einem geeigneten hochleitenden
Material ausgebildeten Sicherungselemente 6
geeigneten elektrisch nichtleitenden Material bestehendes
Trägerband, das ein- oder beidseitig streifenförmig
extrudiertes und mit ihm verpresstes Abbrandmaterial trägt.However, other embodiments are also possible

7a-c are on the outer sides of the in
Of course there are other possible arrangements of the Burning elements. For example, you can put the support body in surrounded several axially successive rings. The Fuse elements can be used as wires instead of strips, preferably with at regular intervals consecutive constrictions, etc.
If a large overcurrent occurs, which is at least that

in Gang kommt.

Lichtbogen erlischt. With a small overcurrent, usually around 1.1 times

The fuse speaks even with small overcurrents safely on, but also interrupts large overcurrents reliable.
