Abstract

A process for forming a fibrous web in the presence of a water-absorbent material, such as a superabsorbent, in which a web of non-water-absorbent fibers and water-absorbent materials is formed and then contacted with an aqueous solution of a binder such as latex in an amount of 5 wt.%, or an uncured binder.
