- L'identification conjointe du véhicule (caractéristiques (par exemple : constructeur, modèle, année de mise en circulation, taille, poids total en charge, nombre de places, position géographique, etc.), immatriculation, numéro de série moteur ou autre identifiant) et du ou des conducteur(s) (identité, type de permis ou de licence, date d'expiration, nombre de points si permis à points, etc.).
- La téléidentification du véhicule et/ou du conducteur ou de la personne au moyen d'un dispositif d'interrogation/réponse fixe ou mobile.
- La possibilité de déclencher à distance, manuellement ou automatiquement, des
opérations sur le véhicule :
- Il peut s'agir d'opérations restrictives (par exemple déclenchement programmé d'un arrêt après une période de temps déterminé, inactivation de l'allumage, déclenchement de signaux sonores ou lumineux, restriction de vitesse, etc...).
- Il peut s'agir d'une communication de données : infraction, conseils ou recommandations, caractéristiques de l'environnement, position du véhicule, etc. Ceci permet par exemple signalisation numérique et/ou vocale d'une infraction (« vous êtes en stationnement gënant », « vous avez franchi un feu rouge ») ou de conseils ou de recommandations (« attention, la largeur de votre véhicule ne permet pas d'emprunter cette route », « veuillez vous ranger pour laisser passer les véhicules d'urgence », « chaussée déformée, ne pas dépasser 30 km/h », etc.).
- La possibilité, si le permis ou la licence du conducteur le permet, de télédéclencher une inactivation temporaire ou définitive, une restriction totale ou partielle du permis.
