Claims (12)

  1. Pressure unit for the separation of blanks cut out of a sheet, comprising a pressure rail (4) integral with at least two parallel rods (2) slidable by a connecting means (3) between two end positions through a horizontal upper support (1), resilient means (8) being disposed between the support (1) and said pressure rail (4) in order constantly to hold the rail in the position most remote from the horizontal upper support (1), defined by stops (9) integral with the rods (2), the connecting means (3) having a surface (3f) bearing against the upper surface of the horizontal upper support (1), characterized by at least two resilient claws (3a), disposed symmetrically relative to the longitudinal axis of a passage (3d), the claws (3a) extending through two respective passages (1 b) in the horizontal upper support (1), and each having a surface (3b) bearing against the lower surface of the horizontal upper support (1).
  2. Pressure unit according to claim 1, wherein the surface (3f) of the connecting means bearing against the upper surface of the upper support (1) is associated with a resiliently compressible compensation element adapted to compensate variations in thickness of the upper support (1).
  3. Pressure unit according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the connecting means (3) also comprise two lugs (3g) each formed with an opening for a screw for fixing into the upper support (1).
  4. Pressure unit according to claim 1, wherein the connecting means (3) comprise four resilient claws (3a) symmetrically disposed relative to the longitudinal axis of the pressure rail (4) and the longitudinal axis of the passage (3d).
  5. Pressure unit according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the connecting means (3) are made of a rigid plastic.
  6. Pressure unit according to any of the preceding claims, comprising rigid clamping means (5, 7) between the pressure rail (4) and the rods (2), the rods being mounted in the respective connecting means (3) with a degree of angular freedom in a plane containing the axes of the rods (2) and the longitudinal axis of the pressure rail (4).
  7. Pressure unit according to claim 6, wherein the connecting means (3) is formed with a passage (3d) with an oblong section having a width equal to the diameter of one of the parallel rods (2) and a major axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pressure rail (4) for sliding fitting of one of the said parallel rods (2) with one degree of angular freedom.
  8. Pressure unit according to claims 6 or 7, wherein one of the stops integral with the parallel rods (2) is a nut (9) screwed on to a threaded portion (2e) of the respective rods, the connecting means (3) each being formed with an opening (10) having at least one dimension equal to the distance between two parallel flats of the nut (9) so that the nut cannot enter the opening (10) except in given angular position and consequently any change in the initial position of the nut (9) can be detected.
  9. Pressure unit according to claims 6 to 8, wherein the pressure rail (4) has a hollow rectangular section with a longitudinal opening (4a) formed along one surface thereof, the clamping means between the pressure rail (4) and the rods (2) comprising a nut (5) engaging a thread (2a) on the lower end of the respective rods (2), the distance between two parallel surfaces being substantially equal to the width of the space inside the pressure rail (4), the edges of the longitudinal opening (4a) being clamped between the nut (5) and a co-operating clamping means (7) retained by an abutment (2d) integral with the rod (2).
  10. Pressure unit according to claim 8, wherein the nut (9) has means for increasing the frictional force when it rotates on the threaded part (2e) of the sliding rod (2).
  11. Pressure unit according the claim 9, wherein the co-operating clamping means (7) has two parallel projections (7b) each engaging one side face of the pressure rail (4).
  12. Pressure unit according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the connecting means (3) has an annular recess (3e) concentric with the longitudinal axis of the oblong-section passage (3d) in order to receive an end of a helical spring constituting the said resilient return means (8) so as to centre and guide one of the said rods (2) in the passage (3d).
