The object of the present description is to take into account the above-described aspects for the transport of a plant and to provide a packaging and transport bag that allows easy, convenient and convenient transport of various plants for the user and at the same time gentle on the plants and without polluting the environment can be performed.

The packaging and transport bag for plants has a use configuration and a stowed configuration and consists of a pocket jacket, a first and a second floor opposite thereto. By means of the tapered shape of the transport bag, the natural growth of plants can be taken into account. Plants with a root ball have a widening contour with increasing height, so that the contour of the plant substantially corresponds to a V-shape. In contrast, especially in coniferous trees or in Christmas trees, the area-wise largest cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction in the lower part of the conifer and decreases with increasing height of the coniferous tree. The contour of the conifer corresponds thus essentially an A-shape. Both the A and V shapes present a tapered shape of their contour, with only the direction of the taper reversing along the length direction. This aspect is considered in the above-described longitudinally tapered transport pocket. In this way it is achieved that the transport bag rests as closely as possible on the plant. Thus, the transport bag can create spreading branches of the plant in the direction of the longitudinal axis or optionally of a trunk of the plant. The different direction of rejuvenation of the plants with root ball and the described conifers can be taken into account by an opposite orientation of the plants with root ball and the conifers inside the transport bag in the use configuration, so that the rejuvenation of the transport bag and the contour the plant or the conifer are rectified.
