Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Wäschetrockner, insbesondere einen Kondensationstrockner, mit einer drehbar gelagerten Wäschetrommel (22), die zumindest einen Lufteinlass und zumindest einen Luftauslass (28) aufweist, und einem Lüfter (24) zum Zuführen von Luft in die Wäschetrommel. Erfindungsgemäß weist der Wäschetrockner eine Umschalteinrichtung (45, 36, 46) zum Umschalten des Luftstroms durch die Wäschetrommel zwischen Umluft- und Abluftbetrieb auf. Bei einem Verfahren zur Behandlung von Wäsche in einem Wäschetrockner wird zumindest in einer Phase die aus der Wäschetrommel herausgeführte Luft zumindest teilweise zur Außenseite ausgelassen und zumindest in einer zweiten Phase die Wäsche im Umluftbetrieb oder bei abgeschaltetem Luftstrom behandelt.
