- Method according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that an element (9) of the door drive (4) is disengaged in terms of drive equipment from an element (10) of the motor vehicle door (1) by the adjustment of the motor vehicle door (1) in the closing direction beyond the comfort open position, and as a result the door drive (4) is disconnected in terms of drive equipment from the motor vehicle door (1).

- Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the controller (5) detects some of the user actions in the passenger compartment of the vehicle, and when a predetermined user action or a predetermined combination of user actions occur said controller triggers the closing process, and in that the user action which triggers the closing process or the user actions which trigger the closing process is or are not originally assigned to the motor vehicle door (1), preferably in that the controller (5) detects, by means of a sensor arrangement, the occupation of a vehicle seat, preferably of the vehicle seat assigned to the motor vehicle door, and in that the detection of this user action is necessary, preferably sufficient, for the triggering of the closing process for the motor vehicle door.
- Method according to Claim 6, characterised in that the controller (5) does not trigger the closing process after the detection of the user action which triggers the closing process or the user actions which trigger the closing process until after a predetermined delay, which can preferably be set by the user.
- Method according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that in the second section (7) of the closing process the motor vehicle door (1) is moved manually and largely free of the door drive (4) from the comfort open position in the closing direction into a pre-closed position which is located directly in front of the closed position, in that a powered closing aid which is assigned to the motor vehicle door (1) is provided, and in that the motor vehicle door (1) is adjusted from the pre-closed position into the closed position by means of the closing aid.

- Motor vehicle door arrangement according to Claim 10, characterized in that the comfort open position is located, viewed from the closed position in the opening direction, in a range between 25% and 85%, preferably between 30% and 70%, and more preferably between 35% and 55% of the swinging range of the motor vehicle door which is configured as a swinging side door.
- Motor vehicle door arrangement according to one of Claims 9 to 11, characterized in that an element (9) of the door drive (4) disengages in terms of drive equipment from an element (10) of the motor vehicle door (1) by the adjustment of the motor vehicle door (1) in the closing direction beyond the comfort open position, and as a result the door drive (4) is disconnected in terms of drive equipment from the motor vehicle door (1).
