Abstract

Figure imgaf001
The invention relates to an implantable cardiac stimulator having a chamber stimulation unit connected or connectable to a left ventricular or a right ventricular pacing electrode and configured to generate and deliver ventricular stimulation paces for stimulation of a ventricle of a ventricular sensing unit configured to receive a respective ventricular contraction and, in the event of a detected ventricular contraction, outputting a ventricular sensing signal, an optional atrial pacing unit connected or connected to an atrial pacing electrode and configured to generate and deliver atrial pacing pulses to stimulate an atrial focussing of an atrial sensing unit being formed To detect atrial contraction and output in the event of a detected atrial contraction of a respective atrial event indicating atrial sensing signal, a T achykardieerfassungseinheit which is at least connected to the ventricular sensing unit and configured to detect a tachycardia and to categorize as ventricular tachycardia (VT) or as a superventricular tachycardia, and a therapy control unit, which is designed to at least the ventricular stimulation unit for delivering an antitachycardic pacing (ATP) head for. According to the invention, the heart stimulator has an evaluation unit which is connected to the atrial sensing unit and the therapy control unit and detects atrial events detected by the sensing unit before, during and after a delivery of antitachycardic pacing (ATP) with respect to the atrial rhythm pattern during ventricular ATP with the atrial rhythm pattern evaluate immediately before the ATP and the therapy control unit in response to an ATP response signal representing the comparison result to control the selection of the subsequent antitachycardic therapy.
