Abstract

The present invention which relates to single-use shoe polish which provides safe carrying of the shoe polish in pockets, bags, wallets easily without leakage and which provides a fast, practical, efficient and clean application for daily personal care with "disposable" concept is generally composed of upper layer (1) and lower layer (2) which are shaped by methods such as vacuum, mould etc., cloth, felt or sponge (3) adhered to the lower layer (2), polish chamber (4) placed on the upper layer (1) which can turn backwards, finger grooves (5) which help to grip the single-use shoe polish and to prevent the messing of the fingers with polish, dents (6) in the lower layer (2) and folding places (7) which facilitate the upward folding of the finger grooves (5).

SPECIFICATION

SINGLE-USE SHOE POLISH

5 The present invention relates to single-use shoe polish which provides safe carrying of the shoe polish in pockets, bags, wallets easily without leakage and which provides a fast, practical, efficient and clean application for daily personal care with "disposable" concept.

Today, "disposable" (single-use) products started to spread in many sectors together with the acceleration of the speed of life especially in the cities, Single-use products are produced in .0 small packs as of dosage and as appropriate for fast and practical use. This way, the user is enabled to have single-use products with him at any time and to use it quickly and practically when the need arises. Single-use products, especially personal cleaning and care products are produced in many sectors. One of these products which are produced as single-use, is shoe polishes and shines.

.5 There are several different, single-use shoe polishes produced by the known technique. These products are generally produced as single-use nature in dimensions which can be carried in the pockets, bags, contain polish or shine enough for a single-use and as a result are finished when shoe polishing works is over. This way, the user can polish his shoes whenever there is a need (business, school, meeting, travel etc.) and following the application, he does not go to

:0 the trouble to clean and keep the polish. In addition, the single-use shoe polishes in the known technique have basic problems such as; leak of the polish during carrying, smudge of the medium and the user with the polish during use, drying of the products that are kept waiting and the difficulty of application. Moreover, there are problems such as; first too much, then less polish coming out of the single-use product with a single dose during shoe polishing.

!5 The most widespread of the available products is the single use shoe polish and shine is produced of small size cloth, felt, sponge or similar materials, on which a single dose of shoe polish and/or shine is penetrated. Such single use shoe polishes and shines are packed in packages as plastic bags, plastic boxes. During the use, the product is taken out of the package and the polish or shine on the sponge is applied to the shoes. However, since shoe polish is penetrated into the sponge in such products, the problems such as drying of the polish by time, leaking to one direction, messing with the package can occur by time. Due to this reason, the mentioned products are generally are produced as shoe cleaner or shiner rather than shoe polish. Shiner sponges do not substitute for polish and also cause cracks and wear of the shoes by time.

Another widespread product of the current technologies is single-use shoe polish wipes. These products are generally are in packages similar to "wet wipes". Such wipes are available on the market usually as shoe cleaners or shiners. However, there is also a shoe polish wipe with polish tubes inside in the known technique. This product is generally applied as gloves worn on the index finger and middle finger. The polish tubes in the wipe which is worn as a glove on the index and middle finger are pressed onto the shoe and are punctured and polishing is applied with the polish spread on the wipe. However, since the polish tubes are punctured by pressing onto the shoe in this product, inhomogeneous spread of polish on the shoe may occur. This state causes the polish on the shoe to look as wavy. Also, there is the risk to polish the fingers during the puncturing of the polish tubes and polishing procedure with the shoe polish wipe worn on the fingers

In the known technique, there are also single-use shoe polishes where the cloth, felt or the sponge absorbs the shoe polish. However, these products are not adequate with respect to the homogenous and effective polishing performance. Also, the polish absorbed dries up in the package by time.

The present invention, which relates to the single-use shoe polish that can be easily carried in the pockets, bags, wallets without any risk of leaking and which provides fast, practical, effective and clean daily personal care applications with its "disposable" nature, completely overcomes the disadvantages mentioned above and its characteristics are; being in sizes which can be carried in pockets, wallets, bags etc., being safe against polish leakage during carrying, always remaining wet at the polish chamber before the use, and as a result of this performing and equal and effective polishing, not messing the medium and the user's skin with polish thanks to its application method, being producible in any color, size and dosing, having a low production cost and as a result being an economic product and its fast, practical, easy and effective use. The present invention turns normal size shoe polish into a single-use shoe polish with the same performance. As of the application method; it provides an effective, fast, practical and clean shoe polishing procedure

The present invention is produced in sizes which can easily be carried in pockets, wallets, bags. This way, the user can have single-use shoe polish with him at any time. Since the polish remains in the polish chamber until use; there are no adverse results such as leaking or drying during carrying. Moreover, the polish remains wet and penetrates into the sponge while in use which increase its performance.

The application method of the invention is quite simple and practical. There are finger grooves on the present invention which facilitate the hold of the invention and prevent the polish to be messed on the fingers during the use. The user places his index finger and thumb in the finger grooves which he folds upwards from the folding place. With this folding procedure; the polish chamber and the dents under the polish chamber are subjected to tensile force. This causes the dents to open and the polish chamber to turn backwards. The polish penetrates into the sponge from the dents which are under the polish chamber that turned backwards. This way, the shoe polish procedure can be carried out quickly, practically, cleanly and in a quality manner.

The present invention can be produced in any color, size and dosing. Also, it can be produced as polish and/or shine. The invention basically is composed of two pieces in layers and sponge (cloth, felt, sponge etc.). When the layers that are shaped by known techniques such as vacuum, mould etc., are adhered to each other; finger grooves are formed. There is a polish chamber on the upper layer and dents on the lower layer. The polish chamber is in flexible structure which can be turned backwards. The closed dents which prevent the flow of the polish before use facilitate the polish chamber to turn backwards and when the polish chamber is turned backwards, they open and allow the polish to be penetrated into the sponge. The production of the invention is as follows: The present invention in basically composed of three parts. These parts are: upper layer(l), lower layer(2) and sponge(3). Upper layer(l) and lower layer(2) are made of material that is harmonious with each other and is shaped by the use of known methods. In the upper layer(l), there is polish chamber(4) which contains the polish and/or shine. The polish chamber(4) is in flexible structure to turn backwards. There are dents(6) in the lower layer(2). The closed dents(6) which prevent the flow of the polish before the use, facilitate the polish chamber(4) to turn backwards and when the polish chamber(4) turns backwards, it opens and the polish is allowed to penetrate into the sponge(3)

The upper layer(l) and the lower layer(2) are adhered and joined to each other with the known methods. There are oval or round etc. end pieces at the ends of the upper layer(l) and the lower layer(2). When the upper layer(l) and the lower layer(2) are adhered, these corresponding end pieces form the finger grooves(5) at two ends of the invention. The finger grooves(5) protect the fingers of the user against messing with polish. Also, there is sponge(3) (the material as cloth, felt, sponge etc.) below the lower layer(2), at the level of the polish chamber(4) and the dents(6). The user applies the polish on the shoe through sponge(3)

The use of the invention is as follows:.

The invention rests as flat before the use. This way, it can easily fit in places such as pockets, bags, wallets etc. There are folding places(7) in the upper layer(l) and the lower layer(2), which facilitate the finger grooves(5) folding upwards. The user folds it from the folding places(7) and brings the finger grooves(5) into a position where he can place his fingers in. The user, who generally places his index finger and thumb in the finger grooves(5), this way both holds the shoe polish and also is protecting his fingers against messing up with the polish. When the single-use shoe polish is held this way, the polish chamber(4) is at the top between the finger grooves(5) and the sponge is at the bottom. As the finger grooves(5) are folded on both sides, the dents(6) at the central part of the invention and the polish chamber(4) are subject to tensile force. This tensile force causes the dents(6) to open and the polish in the polish chamber(4) to penetrate into the sponge(3). When the polish penetrates into the sponge(3), the user can start the shoe polishing procedure. When the polishing procedure is over, the single-use shoe polish which expires can be disposed without any cleaning, keeping concerns.

Claims

1 - The present invention relates to single-use shoe polish and it is characterized by;

- The finger grooves(5) that are folded upwards from the folding places(7) being brought to position so that the fingers can be placed;

The user's placement of his fingers into the finger grooves(5);

Opening of the dents(6) with the tensile force forming on the central section during the folding of the finger grooves(5) and stretching of the polish chamber(4) inwards;

- Penetration of the polish in the polish chamber(4) into the sponge(3) upon stretching of the polish chamber(4) and opening of the dents(6).

2- The present invention relates to the single-use shoe polish and it is characterized by being formed of the upper layer(l), lower layer(2) and sponge(3) adhered to each other by the known methods.

3- It is the invention mentioned in Claim 2 and is characterized by having the finger grooves(5) protecting the fingers of the user against messing up with the polish .

4- It is the fmger grooves(5)mentioned in Claim 3 and is characterized by its formation upon joining of the round end pieces of the upper layer(l) and the lower layer(2).

5- It is the upper layer(l) mentioned in the Claim 2 and it is characterized by having a flexible polish chamber(4) which turns backwards and where the polish and/or shine is contained. 6- It is the lower layer(2) mentioned in the Claim 2 and it is characterized by having the dents(6) that facilitate the turning backwards of the polish chamber(4) and provide the penetration of the polish into the sponge when opened.

7- The present invention relates to the single-use shoe polish and it is characterized by having folding places(7) which enable the easy folding of the parts where there are finger grooves(5).
