Letters Patent No. 107,015, dated September 6, 1870.`
IMPRovnD cooKING-TABLE.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same` To all Iwhom it may concern Be it known that I, ELIZA D. DODGE, ot the city and county ot` Worcester and State of Massachusetts, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in (looking-Tables; and I do hereby declare the following to be afull, clear, and exact description of thesame, reference being had. to the accompanying drawing which forms a part of this specilication, in which-A Figure 1 represents a perspective view of my improved cooking-table, and
Figure 2 represents a cent-ral longitudinal section of the same.
To enable those skilled in the art to which my invention belongs to make and use the same, [will proceed to describe it more in detail.
. The nature of my invention consists in au improved drawer D', are arranged covers, E, hinged to the table-top, as indicated at c, and which open into the drawer beneath.
The covers E are so constructed that, when open, they will be flat upon the table-top, as shown in iig. 2. By the use 'of my improvement a person engaged in preparingr pastry can work with great dispatch' and convenience,- inasmuch as all spices. and other ingredients ot' a like nature may be taken from the side-drawers D, through the opening in the top of the table, withoutthe trouble of stepping back and pulling ont the drawers, while, at the same time, the spice-boxes, or other receptacles, are not in the way to interfere with the movements of the operator, as is the case when they are allowed to stand upon the table-to v The'side drawers may he divided into compartments by partitions, d, it' desired, andthe spices and other articles deposited directly into the several compartments, without theuse of other receptacles, or tin boxes may bc made tot closely into said compartments.
