BOTTLE-OPENER.

Application filed April 26, 1917, Serial No. 164,763.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, RUSSELL E. SARD, residing at Colonic, in the county of Albany and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Bottle-Opener, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to a bottle opener which operates by means of a key-shank; and the object of my invention is to so combine means for opening a bottle with the key-shank as to make the shank a mere handle or lever for the purpose of prying ofi the cap of the bottle.

The drawings illustrate my invention.

Figure 1 shows a form of my invention with the tongue B added to the head of a key and projecting outwardly therefrom.

Fig. 2 shows a form of my invention with a tongue 0 added to the key head and projecting inwardly and toward the bit of the key.

Fig. 3 shows a form of my invention with the head of the key enlarged in the form of an oval ring D" so as to embrace a bottle cover therein and with the sharpened part E acting as the bottle-cap hook or lifter.

What I claim is:

In combination, a key-shank adapted to act as a lever, a key-bow or head adapted to act as a fulcrum, a hook mounted on the key-bow or head adapted to engage the cap or cover of a bottle, and the parts adapted by the combined action of the shank, keybow, and hook to remove the said cap.
