To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HARRY H. Inn, a citizen of the United States, residing in La Grange, county of Cobk, and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Terminal Strips, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to terminalsand has to do more particularly with terminals such as are arranged in banks or stri s, and an object of my invention is to provide a terminal strip which is economical to manufacture and compact in structure, whereby it will utilize the minimum amount of space when employed in completing the circuits or wiring of electrical apparatus.
The novel features of the invention, through the provision of which the abovementioned and other advantageous results are attained, will be explained by reference to the accompanying drawing, 1n which a preferred embodiment of my invention is shown, and in which- Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the termi nal strip of my invention,-

Referring now more in detail vention as illustrated, or plate 2 of suitable insulation material, which supports the terminals T. The mounting plate 2 rality of rectangular orifices 3 and 4 for purposes as will be presently described. The terminals T are made of suitable conductin material, such a sheet brass, from which the said terminals T are punched and formed, as clearly illustrated in Fig. 2.
The terminals T are provided with angularly extending tongues 5 and 6 from opposite sides 7 and 8 of the body portion of the to myinit comprises a strip terminals T. To mount the terminals T,

In actual strip. of insulation between the strips of terminals 2, and the end portions 9 of the desired difi'erent strips are soldered together to multiply connect the terminals in any desired manner.
While I have illustrated and described a preferred embodiment of my invention, I do not wish to be limited to the exact structure as shown, ,but aim to cover all such changes and modifications as come within the spirit andscope of the ap ended claims.
What 'I claim as new and by United States Letters Patent, is:
1. A strip of insulation provided with a practice, the strips 2 of termi nals T are p aced oneupon another, with a ed orifices 3 and e tongues 5 and 6 protrude through the orifices 3 and 4 in the ortions esire to secure I plurality of orifices arranged in pairs, each tending crosswise of said strip of insulation,
a pair of projecting inte ra ears of said pair appearing on one side of the terminal strip and the other ear of said pair appearing on the oppositeside of said terminal strip both ears arranged in a corresponding' zigzag position relative to each other so that they register with a pair of g said zigzag orifices and protrude slightly beyond said insulation strip, said ears then having their ends bent parallelto the insulation strip for securingsaid terminal strip to said insulation strip.
2. A mounting plate comprising an insulating strip provided with a plurality of orifices arranged in pairs, each pair arranged in a zigzag position relative to each other, terminal strips extending crosswise of said form'edears' strips, one of the s v mounting plate, a pair of cars for each terminal strip formed integrally therewith, one ear of said pair being on one side of the terminal and thevother ear of said .nair being on-the other side of the terminal, both ears being at right angles to said strip and arranged in a zigzag position so that they register with a pair of orifi es in said mounting strip and protrude sl ghtly beyond the mounting plate, then having their ends bent parallel to said mounting p ate and said terminal strip to prevent displacement of said terminal strip on said mounting plate.
3. A mounting plate comprising an insulation strip having a air of orifices arranged v in a staggered position, a terminal strip extendinn across said mounting late and hav--" ing its'ends extending beyon the edges of said mounting plate and adapted to receive external conductors, an ear on either side of said terminal and formed integrally at right angles therewith, said ears arranged in a staggered position so that they register with.

4. A mounting plate comprising an insulation strip having a plurality of rectangular openings arranged in pairs, the opening of each pair being arranged in a staggered position relative to each other, a fiat terminal strip provided with an integrally formed ear on either side of said terminal strip and at right angles thereto, said ears being of a size and arranged in a staggered position so that they engage a pair of said orifices and protrude slightly beyond said mounting plate and have their free ends turned 'over parallel to said mounting plate and said terminal strip and at right angles to said pair of rectangular openings.
