Description

WILFRID E. DIEGEL, OF RIVER ROUGE, MCHIGAN.
i GAME.
application filed August 5, 1525A Serial No. 48,187.
To @ZZ 10710111. t may cour-mm:
Be ity known that WILFiun E. "Discuti, a citizen 'of the United States. residing` at River Ronge, in the county, ot' Wayne and State of Michigan. has invented certain new land useful Improvements in Gaines, of which the following is a specification.
This invention is a `trame involving' the use of a rotatable wheel set within a base`r sections of the wheel and surrounding` base being cliametrically aligned with each other; and these sections being then painted or colored with the same colors but in diverse order, so that upon twirling the wheel and its coming to rest., only a comparatively few oi the said aligned wheel and hase sections will be found to match in colori Numbered counters are also used in conjunction with the colored wheel and base: and the object ot the naine is to provide-an attractive and entertaining form ot indoorI amusement.
lu the drawing Figure l is a plan view:
Figure 2'is a transverse vertical section;
`Figure 3 is a detail oiE one oi the counters.v This invention comprises a base l. lmvinnr a shallow` circular recess Q formed in thel center thereof. A pivot pin 3 is rigidly mounted at the exact center vot the recess 2fand a solid disc or wheel 4, is provided with a. central sleeve 5 adapted to freely and snugly engage the pin, whereby the wheel is adapted to rotate upon theApi-n as the axis. The upper face of the wheel is intended to 'fall in the same horizontal plane"l with the upper Jface of Jthe hase. and the hase is provided with a raised border 6 to prevent counters from falling' oil'. The upper survtace oi the wheel and hase are divided into a plurality of diametrically or radially aligned sections 7-8. These sections are angf'ularly co-equal, and the sectionso'tf the wheel and or" the base are colored with the same colors, hut in diverse order, or rather with no particular order'at all, Vand so that upon the wheel coming to rest after rotation, only a relatively few of the said aligned sections will `he found to match in point of color. In other words. the sections of the wheel are differentiated from each other hy each section being; colored with an individual color, and the sections of the hase are differentiated with the same colors as used upon the wheel sections. but the order of coloring the order of coloring ofthe base sections.
For instance. in the drawing the sections ofwise direction; while the sections of the base are colored in sequenceblue', orange, purple, Vwhite, hrown` red, green, yellow. In this combination of colors it will ,he seen that it vis lziossible to match not more than two color sections of the wheel with corresponding color sections of the base. shown these color sections are brown and red. But any other arrangement of the color sections may be employed, as may be desired, so that there is no general matching of all ot the color. sections.v While the names of thc colors' are shown on the drawing` this is merely for indicating a certain set of colors,
the colors themselves should be employed in painting' up the games, and the names should be omitted. The wheel Liis provided with of the sections of the wheeldoes'not followi55 As here two studs 9 as a convenience for twirling -V the wheel. Register'marlts 'lO in the form of Aarrow-heads are printed )at the peripheral centers of. the color sections of the wheel 4. Nine counters 1l are provided, the saine being numbered seriatiin 1 to 9 inclusive.
One method of using the .described apparatus in play is as follows:
Each player plays in turn, and places the counters numbered ltoA 8 uponv the colored sections of the base l, one counter upon each section. The player then twirls the wheel 4 and upon its coming' to rest, he notes the color sections of the wheel that match with those of the base, and adds together the numbers on the counters iiound upon those sections. To bevproperly matched, the arrowheads upon the wheel sections must fall'within the lines of the hase sections which demark the several colors. After a player counts his firsthundred points', he is then entitled to use thecounter numbered 9 instead of the oneA numbered l, whereby his progress .is accelerated' While l have herein specific manner andrnethod of constructing and assembling the elements of my invenvdescribed a certain tion, it is understood that l may vary from the same minor details, not 'departing from the spirit of my invention, so as best "'eeesetlle.
