This invention relates V'to display stands and has for anobject to provide an 11nproved construction wherein the parts ma-y be quicklyand easily adjusted to different positions.. l i u Another object of the invention is to provide a `display stand wliichmay not only'be adjusted to different positions but which may receive different supporting attachments Q whereby thestaiid may be used to display or support one or a large number ofl different objects. i

From Figures 1 and it will be noted that the standard 4 is provided withalnumyber of cylindrical sections 5 merging `into tapering sections 6 whereby annular shoul-V ders Y are provided.` In eachof the tubular sections 5 are passage-ways or apertures 8 and 9 extending' entirely through the standard at right angles to each other. An adjustable display fixture comprising a base, a tubular member carried by the base, a standard slidably mounted in the tubular member, said standard being formed with annular shoulders, a pivotally mounted catch carried by the tubular member and adapted to engage a shoulder for maintaining the standard atV a predetermined height, said standard being provided With a plurality of apertures, article receiving brackets removably mounted on theV standard, said brackets having lugs received Within the perforations, a flange porjectingf upwardly from the brackets and having its upper free end in engagement with a shoulder for aiding in maintaining the brackets against movement.
6. In a display rack, a standard formed With a plurality of spaced tapering sections and a plurality of shoulders, each shoulder being located between a pair of the tapering sections, the standard being provided with a plurality of apertures arranged longitudi received by an aperture, and a flange pro-V jecting from the bracket laterally from the lug and shaped to conform to a portion of the contour of the standard and adapted to snugly embrace the standard at such point whereby the bracket is held against movement.
