I attain this end by the construction here inafter particularly described and illustrated in the annexed drawings in which Fig. 1 shows a portable bathing screen according to this invention, in side elevation and in use,
Fig. 2 is an underside plan View, and
Fig. 3 shows the device folded into basket form for carrying.
A shoulder piece A in the form of a conical ring composed of two light and flexible hoops a b of metal, cane or the like, connected by and covered with suitable material, carries a screen B of suitable light and nontransparent textile fabric or like material at the bottom of which is a light flexible hoop Q which is provided on opposite. sides with loop handles (Z, and over which a ground sheet 6 of waterproof material is stretched.
Connected with the shoulder piece A by adjustable cords or laces 7 is a cap piece C which may conveniently be covered with and connected by suitable material, the upper ring being adapted to rest on the head, and the adjustable cords or laces f being passed through rings provided on the middle hoop g and the hoop a respectively.
Access to the interior of the screen B is attained through a vertical slit or opening 72. in the front thereof which may be held closed by internally fitted tapes i, press buttons, or other convenient fasteners.
In using the device, the head is passed up through the shoulder piece A and the cap C placed on the head. This head cap takes most of the weight of thescreen but the cords or lacings 7 may be adjusted to allow the hoop a of the shoulder piece A to rest on the shoulders of the user so as to assist in supporting the weight of the device.
Around the inside of the screen large pockets 7s, indicatedby dotted lines, may provided, in which any desired articles may The cap 0 is preferably of larger dianiw ter than the opening of the shouldeifpieoe so as to cover this opening when the device is collapsed. for carrying, thereby Great Britain August 22, 1924.
ing sand, wet and the like getting at clothes or other articles which may be placed inside the screen.
.The device when not in use may be allowed to collapse onto the ground sheet and the sides of the ground sheet a bent up and its loop handles d tied together, as shown in Fig. 3, to form a basket like structure for carrying purposes.
lVhat I claim is 1. A portable bathing screen comprising a conical shoulder piece consisting of a plurality of hoops and a fabric cover, a screen.

2. A portable bathing screen comprising a conical shoulder piece consisting of a plurality of hoops of different diameters and afabrio cover, a screen of material dependent from said shoulder piece and having a vertical slit or opening, closure means for said slit or opening, a cap piece consisting of a plurality of hoops of different diameters and a fabric cover, and adjustable cords or laces connecting said cap piece with the shoulder piece.
3. A portable bathing screen comprising a shoulder piece consisting of a plurality of hoops and a fabric cover carried by and covering said hoops, a fabric screen dependent from said shoulder piece and having a vertical slitor opening, closure means for said slit or opening, a cap piece consisting of a plurality. of hoops and a fabric cover, and open flexible connections between said cap piece and the shoulder piece.
4.. A portable bathing screen comprising a conical shoulder piece consisting of two flexible hoops of different diameters the one of smaller diameter being located above the one of larger diameter and a fabric cover, a screen of fabric dependent from said shoulder piece and having a vertical slit or opening, closure means for said slit or opening, a
cap piece consisting of three flexible hoops of different diameters and a fabric cover, and ad ustable cords or laces connecting one of theflexible hoops of the cap piecewith one of the hoops of the shoulder piece.
5. A portable bathing screen comprising a conical shoulder piece consisting of'two flexible hoops of differs masters the one oi": smaller diameter i one of larger diameter and a fabric cover, a screen of fabric dependent from said shoulder piece and having a vertical slit or opening, closure lneansfor said slit or opening, a spreader hoop at the bottom of said screen, a ground sheet stretched over said hoop, a, cap piece consisting of three flexible hoops of difl' ercnt diameters and a fabrie cover, and adjustable cords or laces connecting one of the flexible hoops of the cap piece with one of the hoops ot' the shoulder piece.
6. In a. portable bathing screen the combination of a shoulder piece comprising hoops carrying a fabric cover, a fabric screen do pendent from said shoulder piece and ha for said slit or opening, a spreader hoop at the bottom of said screen, a ground sheet stretched over said hoop. handles on the opposite sides of said stretcher hoop, a cap piece comprising hoops carrying a fabric cover, and adjustable cords or laces connecting one of the hoops of the cap piece with one of the hoops of the shoulder piece.
