A further object of the invention is to provide a chair creeper of the above mentioned character, wherein the usual repair tools are associated with the creeper in a manner as to save considerable time and labor in reaching for the same whenever it becomes necessary to use the various tools, means being further associated with the'chaircreeper for receiving the various parts removed froman automobile during the repairing of the same so as to prevent the accidental loss of the parts. r

A still further object of the invention is to provide a chair creeper of the above mentioned character, which is simple in construction, inexpensive, strong and durable and furthermore adapted for the purposes for which it is designed.

Other objects andadvantage's of this invention will become apparent during the course of the following description.

In the drawing wherein for the purposeof illustration is shown the preferred embodiment of my invention, the numeral 1 designates an elongated seat member, Supportingvlegs 2 are arranged at the corners thereof and for the purpose of rendering the de: vice portable, suitable casters 3 are mounted on the lower ends of the supporting legs. tool kit designated generally by the numeral 4 is arranged on the forward portion of the seat member 1 and the same includes a pIu-J rality of compartments 5 for receiving various implements which arev used incidental to the repairing of automobiles. The

rear portionofthe seat member l'has its side edges cut away as illustrated at 6 whereby the mechanic, may be seated on the cushion 7 secured to the topjof the seat member 1 adjacent the rear end thereof in a comfortable manner.

V A receptacle for receiving the various parts'of an automobile during the repairing of the same is provided below the seat memher 1 'and the same includes a board or bot-' tom member 8 which is fastened at its cor- 'ners to the lower portions of the supporting legs, upstanding flanges 9 being provided at the sides and at the forwardends of the board 8, and the open upper side of said receptacle being spaced below the underside of the seat portion and tool carrying portion.

A back rest 10 extends upwardly from the rear end of the-board 8 forming a closure for the rear end of the receptacle for receiving the various parts of an automobile. The back rest lOextends upwardly at an incline between the rear supporting legs of the seat member and a'suitable cushion 11 is associated with the upperportion of the back rest whereby'the mechanic when seated on the cushion 7' may maintain acomfortable position while working below a car, it being understood of course that'the car is elevated v v to such a height as to permit the creeper to be placed thereunder and permit the mechanic or repair man to occupy-the device I in such a manner as to permit ready access y to the parts of the automobile which are to under side of the seat member 1 adj acent'the forward end thereof, a suitable handlev 14 being provided on the forward edge of the slidable member i12to permit the sliding nhovement of thesame. The simplicity of my device adapts th same to be'manufactured at avery low cost and in a strong and'durable mannen The provision of a repair mans'creeper of the above mentioned character, will enable a mechanicto maintain a comfortable position while making the necessary repairs to the underside of an automobile, and furthermore the provision of a tool kit and an autoj mobilepart receiving receptacle will save considerabletinie in looking for the neces sary tools or parts and will further prevent the accidental niisplacing of the same;

Nhile I have shown the preferred embodiment of my invention, it is to be understood that various changes in the size, shape and arrangement of parts may be resorted to Without departing from the spirit of the invention and the scope of the appended cl'aini'. The recessing of the cushion 7 at the side points 6 is materially advantageous, this be cause a comfortable seat is afforded for the mechanic, and at the same time he is enabled to conveniently and el i iently use his legs in moving the creeper about under an 'auto1no bile, and the creeper being moved as stated as a unit, the mechanic always has his tools before him and Within convenient reach for free play of the users legs ininoving the creeper about, and also having in front of said seat portion and in substantially the same horizontal plane as the same a portion for carrying tools, spaced upright corner means supporting said seat portion and tool carrying portion, and a receptacle carried between said corner means and open at its upper side and having said upper side spaced below the undersides of the seat portion and tool carrying portion.
