This invention has relation to wearing apparel, and has for an object to provide an article in the nature of a protective means for the chest which is intended to be carried ordinarily in the pocket but adapted for attachment to fastening devices permanently secured to the inside of a coat or other garment to afford protection during inclement weather. 1

In addition to the foregoing this invention comprehends improvements in the details of construction and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter described and particularly set forth in the appended claim.

Thus it will be seen that I have provided a novel garment that will be instrumental in the prevention of illness due to exposure and which can be made very ornamental if desired and thus constitute an attractive adjunct to the dress.

WVhile I have illustrated and described my invention with some degree of particularity, I realize that in practice various alterations therein may be made. I therefore reserve the right and privilege of changing the form of the details ofconstruction or otherwise altering the arrangement of the correlated parts without departing from the spirit of the invention or the scope of the appended claim.
