The main objects of this invention are:

Having thus described myinvention, what I clairnas new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:

1; In a golf club, the combination of a head member having a vertical V-shaped recess in its rear edge centering in approximately the vertical plane of the center of the striking face, the re'ar'edge of said head at each side of said recess being conformed to provide two curved surfaces centering at approximately the center of the striking face and meeting at an angle in approximately the horizontal center of the head, and an integral vertical V-shaped body portion fitting in said vertical recess and segmental wing and curved on their inner faces to correspond to and clamped upon said curved surfaces of said head, said body and wing portions having a continuous outer curved weight comprising a central surface complementing the rear edge of the the center of the striking 90 portions disposed at an angle to each other tions disposed at an angle to each other and curved on their inner faces to correspond to and clamped upon said curved surfaces of said head. r

In a golf club, the combination of a head member having a vertical V-shaped recess in its rear edge centering in approximately the vertical plane of the center of the striking face, the rear edge of said head at each side of said recess being conformed to provide two surfaces meeting at an angle in approximately the horizontal center of the head, and an integral Weight comprising a central vertical V-shaped body portion fitting in said vertical recess and segmental Wing portions disposed at an angle to each otherand conformed on their inner faces to correspond to and clamped upon said surfaces of said head, said body and Wing portions having a continuous outer curved surface complementing the edge of the head.

In a golf club the combination of a head member having a vertical V-shaped recess in its rear edge centering in approximately the vertical plane of the center of the striking face, the rear edge of said head at each side of said recessbeing conformed to provide two surfaces meeting at an angle in approximately the horizontal center of the head, and an integral Weight comprising a central vertical V-shaped body portion fitting in said vertical recess and segmental Wing portions disposed at an angle to each other and conformed on their inner faces to correspond to and clamped upon saidsurfaces of said head.

5. In a golf club, the combination of a head member having a vertical recess of V-cross section centering in the center of the striking face and oppositely inclined surfaces at each side of said recess centering at approximately the center of the striking face and meeting in approximately the horizontal center of the head, and an integral Weight comprising a V-shaped body portion fitting in said recess and Wing-like members conforming to said surfaces at the sides thereof and clamped thereon.
