There has thus been provided a simple and eflicient device of the kind described and for the purpose specified.

Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new, is:
1. A liag holder consisting of a pair of plates provided with means to hold the stall of a flag therebetween Yin definite selec-ted positions, one of said plates having a slot extending inwardly from a marginal portion, a bracket having an end portion adapted to fit in said slot and provided with oppositely extending vflanges engaging between said plates on opposite sides ofthe slot, and clamp screws for drawing said plates together.
