Fig. 3 is a longitudinal sectional view through a mask.
Referring to the drawing by numerals of reference:
There is shown a head set comprising a pair of masks 5 connected by a chin strap 6, crown straps 7 and a back strap 8.
The masks 5 are identical and each is formed of an outer dome 9, and an inner dome 10, separated by a sound damping material 11. The domes are preferably oval shaped, the inner one being of lesser diameter so that a cushioning member 12 whose covering 13 is attached to the marginal portions of the domes and serves to hold the two together, will be supported by the outer dome and thereby insure a close fit against the head when the straps are properly adjusted.
A resilient gasket 14 made of a material such as sponge rubber is preferably adhesively secured to the margin of the inner dome I2nd extends flush with the cushioning mem- When the headset is in position, the gasket 14 will embrace the ear and the cushion memseparating the domes, a cushioning member attached marginally tov the domes, and a resilient gasket adhesively secured to the inner dome and extending flush with the cushioning member.
2. An ear mask, including an inner dome, an outer dome, a sound damping material separating the domes, a cushioning member attached marginally to the domes, and a resilient gasket circumscribed by the cushioning member and adhesively secured to the inner dome.
3. An ear mask comprising spaced support members, a sound damping material between the members, a cushioning member connect ing the support members and a resilient gas ket attached to one of the support members within the cushioning member.
