This invention relates to an improved artificial denture brush primarily designed for cleaning the teeth and plate of false teeth.

Admittedly, the broad idea of providing a special brush for work of this class is not new.

As a matter of fact, I am already familiar invention is to generally improve upon known prior art and marketed plate brushes by providing one which is simple and economical and capable of expeditious and efficient use in order to accomplish the desired result in an advantageous and reliable manner.

Figure 1 is a top plan view of a brush constructed in accordance with the principles of the present inventive conception.

Figure 2 is a central vertical sectional and elevational view thereof.

Figure 3 is an edge elevation of the improved brush.

Referring now to the drawing by distinguishing reference characters, it will beobserved that the brush per se is distinguished by the numeral 4; and is composed of a multilength attached to a wire frame. The wire frame comprises a core 6 composed of twisted wires of a well-known type whose free end portions 7 are bent laterally at approximate right angles to the axis of the core with their extremities offset inwardly in order to overlie the approximate central portion of the brush.

The core and the brush are substantially horse-shoe shaped in configuration so as to conform to the concavities and irregularities 0 of the denture plate in an obvious manner.

By having the ends of the brush as well as the endsof the wire separated, it is possible to bring the ends toward orcfrom each other to permit the brush to accurately fit'dentures of different sizes.

It is to be understood that changes may be made in the construction and in the combination and arrangement of the several parts provided that such changes fall within the scope of the appended claims.

I claim:

1. An artificial denture brush of the class described comprising a bristle brush of general horse-shoe shaped configuration in top plan view, a twisted wire core embedded centrally in said brush, the ends of the Wire as well as the ends of the brush being'spaced apart to permit the diameter of the brush to be varied to fit the work, said wire-ends being bent laterally and then ofiset inwardly to occupy a position substantially over the center of the brush, at which point the wireends have their terminals bent upwardly at substantially right angles to the inwardly offset portions and brought together in parallel relation to provide a shank, and a handgrip attached to said shank.

An. artificial denture brush of the class described comprising a bristle brush of general horse-shoe shaped configuration in top plan view, a twisted wire core embedded centrally in said brush, the ends of the wire as well as the ends of the brush being spaced apart to permit the diameter of the brush to be varied to fit the work, said wire-ends being bent laterally and then offset inwardly to occupy a position substantially over the V center of the brush, at which point the wire- -ends have their terminals bent upwardly at substantially right angles to the inwardly offset portions and brought together in parallel relation to provide a shank, and a 'handgrip attached to said shank, said handgrip being in the form of a spherical knob.

As a new article of manufacture, an artificial denture brush comprising an approximately horse-shoe shaped bristle brush e5.having its ends spaced apart for adjust ment toward and from each other, a twisted wire core centrally embedded in said brush and having its opposite end portions exposed through the ends of said brush and brought together in converging relationship, said end portions being offset laterally and then inturned to overlie the center of the brush where the extremities thereof are bent at right angles to the brush and core and brought together in parallel relation to form a handle attaching shank, a spherical knob constituting a handle and having a central socket in which said shank is fastened.
