Patented Sept. 18, 1934 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE- My invention particularly relates to improvements in a carrier for flat keys and the object of my improvement is to provide a simpler and more convenient carrier than the former devices for this purpose.
I attain this object by the device illustrated in the accompanying drawing in which- Figure 1 is a view of the device from its large end with keys assembled; Figure 2 is a longitudinal section of the device with keys assembled; Figure 3 is a side view of the device; and Figure 4 is a view of the device from its small end.
This device consists of rubber or elastic material and has a connecting portion b and two enlarged portions (1 and c as shown in the accompanying drawing. The smaller enlarged end a is shaped so as to adapt it to be drawn through the holes in the keys and is so shaped that 2 when it has passed through the holes in the keys it expands and holds the assembled keys together.
I have shown this device assembled with keys.

What I claim is:
1. A key carrier consisting of an elastic device having two enlarged ends and an intermediate connecting portion integral with said enlarged ends, one end being so shaped that'it may be grasped and drawn through the holes in the keys and so shaped that when it has passed through the holes in the keys it expands and secures the keys in assemblage, substantially as set forth.
2. A key carrier of elastic material having two enlarged ends and an intermediate con necting portion integral with said enlarged ends and capable of longitudinal extension and contraction in this intermediate portion for the accommodation of a greater or less number of keys and of holding them together under spring tension, one end of said enlarged portion being provided with a reduced extension which may be freely passed through the hole in the key and grasped to draw the enlarged portion through the hole.
