yThis invention relates in general to .buoyant water amusement devices and more particularly.

to a buoyant boat-like bathing implement. The general object of the invention is to provide a buoyant bathing implement adapted to securely support and float a person partly emerged in Water. Another object of the invention is the provision of a buoyant bathing implement of 4the kind referred to having an open bottom and supporting means arranged beyond the lower edge of the implement to insure a structure with-a low4` center of gravity for eliminating danger of cap,-

sizing, when a person is seated in said device upon said supporting means thereof. Still another object of the invention is the provision of a buoyant bathing implement of the kindreferred to with an air inflated rubber tube to increase the buoyancy of the implement, and means to insure proper attachment of the rubber tube to said implement while protecting the intake valve of said tube against accidental operation.

With these and other objects in View the invention consists in certain novel and useful features of construction and combination of parts all as hereinafter more fully described and more concisely pointed out in the appended claim. In order that the invention may more fully be understood reference is to be had to the accompanying drawing, in which:-

Referring now to the drawing in which similar reference characters denote corresponding parts in all of the figures, 2 indicates a substantially boat-like shaped frame,preferably made of wood. Frame 2 includes curved side boards 3, united at their front ends by means of a Wedge-shaped filler 4 and connected at their rear ends in spaced relationship by means of a cross board 5. Top plates 6 and 'I mounted on side boards 3 partly close the front and rear ends of said frame. The front top plate 6 arranged at the front end of frame 2 extends-slightly Abeyond the rounded edge 8 of frame 2 and forms a perforated ear portion S for connection of a rope to said frame if so desired, and the rear top plate l, curved at its front edge II, extends with its rear edge II substantially beyond said cross'board 5. ` An air inflated rubber tube 2|, preferablyv an ordinary tire tube, is tightlydrawn aroundthe frame 2 and followsthe outline of said` frame, thus forming a pointed boat-like structure adapted to cut the water when ypropelled and permit-readily and easily steering while floating. Rubber tube 2I. is held against disconnection from frame 2 by perforated ear portion 9, by rear top plate l and by the valve member 22 of. said tube which extends through a perforation 23 in said board into the'interior of frame 2. This arrangement protects valve member22 against accidental actuation and prohibits injury to persons mounting the bathing implement. Ay plurality of belts 24 interlock side boards 3 and tube 2| and a belt 25 may be utilized` to secure a person to seat I2, if so desired..

In connecting tube 2| to Vframe`2 such tube is features of advantage all as set forth, and that l such device is susceptible of modification in minor particulars without departing from the spirit and scope of the appendedclaim.

What I claim is:

Abuoyant boat-like bathing implement, comprising an elongated rigidframe including spaced side-boards joined at their front ends atan acute angle and a vertical cross Wall connecting the rear spaced ends of said side boards, an air inflated rubber tube stretched under. tension around the said frame forl snugly engagingthe outside faces of said side boards and 'crossy wall and forming an acute angular bent in said tube opposite the joined front ends of said side boards, said air inflatedtube including a valve member having its body laterally extended through an opening in said vertical cross wall into the interior 55 of said frame for interlocking engagement of said frame and tube.
