  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a target device of a target assembly in accordance with the present invention; [0015]
  • FIG. 2 is an exploded view of a target member; [0016]
  • FIG. 3 is a perspective view illustrating the operation of the target assembly; [0017]
  • FIG. 4 is a plane view illustrating the displaying device of the target assembly; and [0018]
  • FIG. 5 is a perspective view similar to FIG. 3, illustrating the other embodiment of the target assembly.[0019]
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • Referring to the drawings, and initially to FIGS. [0020] 1-3, a target assembly in accordance with the present invention comprises a target device (FIG. 1) including a target member 10 to be supported in a frame 30 with cables 24, wires, threads, ropes or the like. For example, four cables 24 are coupled to the four corners of the target member 10 and are coupled to the four corners of the frame 30 for stably and resiliently securing the target member 10 to the frame 30.
  • As best shown in FIG. 2, the [0021] target member 10 includes a front plate 15, a rear board 16, two films 17 disposed between the plate 15 and the board 16, and a partition or a spacer panel 18 disposed between the films 17. Four fasteners 23 are secured to the corners of the plate 15 and the board 16 and the films 17 and the panel 18 for securing the plate 15 and the board 16 and the films 17 and the panel 18 together. The fasteners 23 each includes an orifice 26 formed therein for threading the cables 24 and for allowing the target member 10 to be solidly secured to the frame 30. The front plate 15 includes a center portion 12 and one or more concentric ring portions 13, 14 formed around the center portion 12 thereof and separated by nonconductive ring elements 11. The center portion 12 and the ring portions 13, 14 of the plate 15 are preferably applied with different colors.
  • The [0022] films 17 each includes an electric conductive circuit or member 170 disposed in the center portion thereof corresponding to the center portion 12 of the plate 15, and each includes one or more concentric ring-shaped conductive circuit or members 171 formed around the center conductive member 170 and separated by margins 173 that have no conductive members provided therein. The ring-shaped conductive members 171 are located corresponding to the ring portions 13, 14 of the plate 15. The spacer panel 18 includes a number of holes or openings 181 formed therein and provided between the conductive members 170, 171 of the films 17 for allowing the conductive members 170, 171 of the films 17 to be contacted with each other when a ball 70, 80 (FIGS. 3, 5) hits onto the target member 10. The ring elements 11 are engaged in the margins 173 of the film 17 for separating the conductive members 170, 171 of the film 17 that is located close to the plate 15 from each other and for preventing the conductive members 170, 171 of the front film 17 from being contacted with each other.
  • The [0023] spacer panel 18 is preferably made of deformable or compressible materials, such as the spongy materials, for allowing the spacer panel 18 to be compressed and for allowing the conductive members 170, 171 of the films 17 to be contacted with each other when a ball hits onto the target member 10. The conductive members 170, 171 are preferably the printed circuits or the like.
  • One or more sensors or detecting [0024] devices 19 or the like are coupled to the conductive members 170, 173 for sensing or for detecting whether the conductive members 170, 173 are contacted with each other not. The detecting devices 19 may be coupled to a displaying device 50 with an electric wire 51 or the like. The displaying device 50 includes a displaying screen 52 for showing the locations or the positions 53 of the striking or the hit of the ball 70, 80 onto the target member 10.
  • In operation, as shown in FIG. 3, when the [0025] ball 70 is hit and stricken onto the target member 10, the conductive members 170, 171 of the films 17 may be forced to be contacted with each other in order to form a short-circuit or to generate a signal which may be detected by the detecting devices 19 and may be sent and displayed on the displaying screen 52 of the displaying device 50. The user may view the location or the hit of the ball 70 onto the target member 10 right away after each shot, and may thus correct his striking posture right away after each shot.
  • Referring next to FIG. 5, the signal generated by the contact of the [0026] conductive members 170, 171 and/or detected by the detecting devices 19 may be directly transmitted to the displaying device 50 with a remote control device or an emitting-and-receiver device. The
  • Accordingly, the target assembly in accordance with the present invention includes a displaying device for displaying and showing the striking of the ball onto the target member and for allowing the user to correct the striking of the ball right away. [0027]
  • Although this invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it is to be understood that the present disclosure has been made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detailed construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
