Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a mosquito net and more particularly, to a mosquito net supporting frame structure, which is detachable to save storage space during delivery and, which fits different mosquito nets having different shapes.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • A mosquito net is a net for keeping out mosquitoes. When using a mosquito net, the top of the mosquito net is secured to an overhead place, keeping the screen body of the mosquito net covered over the bed or the like. When selecting a mosquito net for use in a house, the consumer may consider the appearance design and its agreement in shape, color, etc. with the upholstery and furniture of the house.
  • Conventionally, the screen body of a mosquito net is directly stitched to the top panel. After hanging of a mosquito net on an overhead place, the top panel and the screen body are not kept in shape. A loosen mosquito net cannot keep out mosquitoes well. Further, the loosen status of a hanging mosquito net obstructs the sense of beauty. In order to eliminate this problem, mosquito net manufacturers may affix a support, for example, a metal wire ring to the top panel. After hanging, the support supports the top panel of the mosquito net in shape, keeping nice looking of the mosquito net. However, because the support is fixedly fastened to the top panel of the mosquito net, the mosquito net requires much storage space during delivery. For different mosquito nets having different shapes, different designs of supports shall be used. To a mosquito net manufacturer, it is not economic to prepare different designs of supports for mosquito net. Further, it is difficult to wash the mosquito net after a long use.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is one object of the present invention to provide a mosquito net supporting frame structure and mosquito net arrangement, which uses a detachable mosquito net supporting frame structure to support the mosquito net in shape so that the whole design requires less storage space when collapsed and packed for delivery. It is another object of the present invention to provide a mosquito net supporting frame structure and mosquito net arrangement, which is easy to install. It is still another object of the present invention to provide a mosquito net supporting frame structure, which fits different mosquito nets having different shapes. To achieve these and other objects of the present invention, the mosquito net supporting frame structure and mosquito net arrangement comprises a mosquito net, and a mosquito net supporting frame structure adapted to support the mosquito net in shape. The mosquito net comprises a polygonal top, and a plurality of peripheral panels extended around the border of the polygonal top. The peripheral panels each have a top part folded up and stitched, thereby forming a sleeve and a valance. The mosquito net supporting frame structure comprises a plurality of combination frame bars respectively fastened to the sleeves of the peripheral panels of the mosquito net for hanging the mosquito net on an overhead place and supporting the mosquito net in shape.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a part of a mosquito net constructed according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is an exploded view of a combination frame bar used in the mosquito net shown in FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 3 is an exploded view of a part of the mosquito net, showing the relationship between one combination frame bar and one peripheral panel of the mosquito net according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 4 is an enlarged view of a part of FIG. 1.
  • FIG. 5 is an applied view of a rectangular mosquito net constructed according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 6 is an applied view of a hexagonal mosquito net constructed according to the present invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring to FIG. 2, a combination frame structure for mosquito net in accordance with the present invention comprises a plurality of combination frame bars 30. Each combination frame bar 30 is comprised of a plurality of rod members 31 and at least one connector 32. The connector 32 is adapted to connect two rod members 31 in a line, having a coupling hole 33 axially extended through two distal ends thereof for receiving two rod members 31 in a line. The diameter of the coupling hole 33 is approximately equal to the outer diameter of the rod members 31 so that two rod members 31 can be respectively press-fitted into the coupling hole 33 of one connector 32 from two opposite sides and connected with the connector 32 in a line. Therefore, multiple rod members 31 can be connected in series with multiple connectors 32 to form a combination frame bar 30 subject to the desired length. Further, multiple combination frame bars 30 are used and set to support the top of any of a variety of mosquito nets in shape. The number of combination frame bars 30 is determined subject to the shape of the top of the mosquito net. According to the present invention, the top of a mosquito net can be made having a square, rectangular pentagonal, or hexagonal shape.
  • As an alternate form of the present invention, retractable frame bars may be used to substitute for the aforesaid combination frame bar 30.
  • Referring to FIGS. 1 and 3 and FIG. 2 again, the mosquito net has a polygonal top 17, and a plurality of peripheral panels 10, 20 extended around the border of the polygonal top 17. The peripheral panels 10, 20 are similar in structure, each comprising a screen body 11. The top side of the screen body 11 is turned downwards and stitched with a line of stitches 14, thereby forming a transversely extended sleeve 15 above the line of stitches 14 and a valance 12 below the line of stitches 14. The top side 13 of the transversely extended sleeve 15 (i.e., the topmost edge of each screen body 11) is stitched to the respective side edge of the top 17. Combination frame bars 30 are respectively inserted into the transversely extended sleeves 15 of the peripheral panels 10, 20 of the mosquito net to support the top 17 of the mosquito net in shape. Hanging wires 40 are coupled to the combination frame bars 30 for hanging the mosquito net on hooks 50 that are fastened to an overhead place. The hooks 50 can be made having a top side terminating in a tap bolt or provided with fastening means for mounting. Further, metal chains may be used to substitute for the hanging wires 40. Preferably, the transversely extended sleeves 15 of the peripheral panels 10, 20 each have a plurality of equally spaced top openings 16 through which the hanging wires 40 extend to the outside for hanging. Because the hanging wires 40 are coupled to the combination frame bars 30 but not fastened to the soft screen bodies 11 of the peripheral panels 10, 20 of the mosquito net, the hanging wires 40 hold the combination frame bars 30 in place and the combination frame bars 30 support the mosquito net in shape after hanging of the hanging wires 40 on the overhead hooks 50.
  • As indicated above, multiple combination frame bars 30 can be used to support a mosquito net of any of a variety of polygonal shapes. In the example shown in FIG. 5, the mosquito net has a rectangular shape. In the example shown in FIG. 6, the mosquito net has a hexagonal shape. After insertion of the respective combination frame bars 30 in the transversely extended sleeves 15 of the peripheral panels 10, 20 and coupling of hanging wires 40 to the combination frame bars 30, the hanging wires 40 are hung on overhead hooks 50, and therefore the mosquito net is suspended from the combination frame bars 30 and covered over the bed 90 (see also FIG. 1).
  • Before delivery from the factory, the combination frame bars 320, the hanging wires 40, the hooks 50 are separated from the mosquito net and packed with the folded status of the mosquito net in a box. Therefore, the mosquito net requires less storage space during delivery. Because the assembly process of the mosquito net is quite simple, the user can install the mosquito net in the house by oneself.
  • A prototype of mosquito net has been constructed with the features of FIGS. 1˜6. The mosquito net functions smoothly to provide all of the features discussed earlier.
  • Although particular embodiments of the invention have been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims
