Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • This invention relates to a water wiper, and particularly to a water wiper which can wipe off water bubbles on a plane surface or a curved surface.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • A conventional water wiper usually comprises a T-shaped rod, of which one side is embedded with a wiping plate, and the other side thereof is embedded with an elongate sponge by means of a lid plate, and the lid plate is fastened in place with a screw. The elongate sponge mounted on the T-shaped rod is used for wiping a glass surface, while the wiping plate is used for wiping off water. Such a water wiper is generally used for rubbing, cleaning and wiping off water on a car glass.
  • There is a conventional elongate water wiper to be used for wiping off water on a wall glass, and it is usually washed with water and rubbed with a sponge brush; then an elongate water wiper is used for wiping off water. The T-shaped rod of the elongate water wiper is mounted with an elongate wiping plate so as to wipe off all water bubbles left. The size of the T-shaped water wiper is variable; it may be a large sized water wiper for wiping a floor or a large window glass; it may be a light and small-sized water wiper to be held with hand to wipe off water or water bubbles on a glass surface.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The prime object of the present invention is to provide a water wiper, which comprises a body portion as a handle; one side for the body portion is furnished with an embedding groove for mounting a wiping plate, while the other side thereof is furnished with a screw hole for receiving a threaded end of a long rod; the water wiper can be held with hand to wipe water, or can be held with a long rod to wipe water.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a water wiper, in which an embedding groove is furnished between two body portions for fastening a fastening end of a wiping plate in place; the other end of the wiping plate is furnished with a pointed wiping blade; both sides of the wiping blade are furnished with a plurality of side wiping blades; since the wiping plate is an elastic plate, the wiping blades thereof can be in close contact with a plane glass surface or a curved surface to wipe off all water bubbles on the surface.
  • Still another object of the present invention is to provide a water wiper, in which one end of the wiping plate is assembled together with two body portions; the wiping plate has a straight fastening end; the wiping plate is made of an elastic material, such as rubber; the wiping plate has a suitable length; the wiping plate extends to the tail end thereof in a cone-shaped plate so as to have the wiping blades had an elastic contact with a surface to be wiped.
  • A further object of the present invention is to provide a water wiper, in which both sides of one end of the wiping plate are furnished with a plurality of side wiping blades; the side wiping blades are arranged symmetrically on both sides; since the wiping blades are in a thin and pointed shape, there is at least one of them can be in close contact with a surface to be wiped; in that case, all water bubbles on a plane glass surface or a curved surface can be wiped off completely.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • This invention relates to a water wiper; as shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the water wiper 11 comprises two body portions 12 and 13, a wiping plate 21 and a long rod 20. The wiping plate 21 has a fastening end 26 to be mounted in an embedding groove 23 between two body portions 12 and 13 of the embedding plate 15. The inner side of the first body portion 12 is furnished with a plurality of connection posts 17; the second body portion 13 is furnished with corresponding holes so as to have the two body portions 12 and 13 fastened together with screws 18. The second body portion 13 is furnished with a screw hole 19 for receiving the threaded end of a long rod 20. The two body portions 12 and 13 are furnished with a handle 30 (as shown in FIG. 9) to facilitate a hand to grip; the water wiper may be mounted with a long rod 20 (as showing in FIG. 8) to facilitate wiping water on a plane glass or a curved surface.
  • The two body portions 12 and 13 of the water wiper 11 are designed on a symmetrical shape; the two body portions 12 and 13 are assembled together into an elongate handle 30 so as to facilitate gripping by hand. One side of each body portion 12 or 13 is furnished with an embedding groove 14, of which the width and length are designed to fit for the shape of two embedding grooves 23 on the fastening end 26 of the wiping plate 21; the embedding grooves 23 of the wiping plate 21 are designed to fit for the embedding plate 15 beside the embedding groove 14 so as to have the two flanges 16A and 16B mounted across the inner side and the outer side of the embedding plate 15. After the two body portions 12 and 13 are assembled together, the fastening end 26 of the wiping plate 15 is fastened firmly between the two body portions 12 and 13.
  • The opposite side of the wiping plate 21 fastened in place is furnished with a grip-shaped handle; one of the body portions is furnished with a screw hole 19 for mounting a threaded end of a long rod 20 therein; the handle 30 of the water wiper can be gripped with a hand (as shown in FIG. 9); the water wiper can also be used by holding the long rod 20 (as shown in FIG. 8).
  • The wiping plate 21 mounted in the handle 30 is made of an elastic material, such as rubber, and the wiping plate 21 is designed into a suitable length and width so as to fit for the size of the embedding groove 14 between the two body portions 12 and 13. The wiping plate 21 is fastened in the embedding groove 14 between the two body portions 12 and 13 by means of two symmetrical flanges 16A and 16B. The plate portion 24 extends into a cone-shaped plate to the other end thereof to form into a main wiping blade 27; however, if the wiping plate 21 is furnished with only one main wiping blade 27, the wiping blade 27 would be unable to be in close contact with a plane surface or a curved surface during wiping operation; as a result, the wiping function would not be done perfectly.
  • In order to increase the contact area between the main wiping blade 27 and a surface to be wiped, both sides of the main wiping blade 27 are furnished with a plurality of symmetrical side wiping blades 28, which are thinner and pointed than the main wiping blade 27; then, the main wiping blade and the side wiping blades of the wiping plate 21 can be in close contact with a plane surface or a curved surface during wiping operation as showing in FIGS. 4 to 7; in other words, no matter how much pressure is applied to the wiping plate 21 during wiping operation, there is at least one wiping blade to be in close contact with a plane glass surface or a curved surface so as to wipe off water from a surface completely; particularly, since the main wiping blade 27 and the side wiping blades 28 can be in close contact with a plane surface, water on such plane surface can be wiped off completely.
  • The side wiping blades 28 are furnished on both sides at one end of the wiping plate 21 as shown in embodiment; each side of the wiping plate 21 has three side wiping blades 28 extended vertically to the wiping plate; among the three side wiping blades 28, one of them in the middle is slightly shorter than the rest two. During wiping operation, the main wiping blade 27 can be in close contact with a surface by means of a light pressure; if a surface to be wiped has bubbles, the user may apply more pressure to the handle 30 to have the wiping plate 21 bent at an angle so as to let at least one side wiping blades 28 touch the surface to be wiped.
  • According to the aforesaid detailed description, the features and the structure of the present invention have been disclosed completely, and the improvement of the present invention has been shown clearly; such improvement is never shown and done by any person who is skilled in the field; therefore, the present invention is deemed unique.
  • While the invention has been described with reference to specific embodiments it must be understood that those embodiments are susceptible to many changes, substitutions, and modifications that will be readily apparent to those having ordinary skill in the art without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention.
