Abstract

A paper reel includes a lining, and an enclosure mounted on a periphery of the lining. Thus, the plastic enclosure encompasses a whole length of the paper lining to reinforce the strength of the paper reel, so that when an element, such as a tape, cloth, weaving strap, metallic foil, car insulating paper or the like, is closely wound around the paper reel, the paper reel will not be deformed or distorted due to compression, thereby enhancing the quality and stability of the paper reel.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates to a paper reel, and more particularly to a seamless paper reel for winding a tape, cloth, weaving strap, metallic foil, car insulating paper or the like.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • A conventional paper reel is used for winding a tape, cloth, weaving strap, metallic foil, car insulating paper or the like, and comprises a lining including a plurality of paper strips overlapping each other in an oblique manner to form a tubular body, and a paper strap wrapped around a periphery of the tubular body formed by the paper strips. However, the conventional paper reel has a weaker strength, so that it is easily deformed or distorted due to compression, thereby decreasing the quality of the conventional paper reel.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • In accordance with the present invention, there is provided a paper reel, comprising:
  • a lining; and
  • an enclosure mounted on a periphery of the lining.
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a seamless paper reel.
  • Another objective of the present invention is to provide a paper reel, wherein the plastic enclosure encompasses a whole length of the paper lining to reinforce the strength of the paper reel, so that when an element, such as a tape, cloth, weaving strap, metallic foil, car insulating paper or the like, is closely wound around the paper reel, the paper reel will not be deformed or distorted due to compression, thereby enhancing the quality and stability of the paper reel.
  • A further objective of the present invention is to provide a paper reel, wherein the lining is formed by a winding process, and the plastic enclosure is made by a plastic injection molding process, so that the paper reel is made easily, exactly and rapidly, thereby enhancing the working efficiency and decreasing costs of fabrication.
  • Further benefits and advantages of the present invention will become apparent after a careful reading of the detailed description with appropriate reference to the accompanying drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a partially cut-away perspective view of a paper reel in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a partially cut-away perspective view of a lining of the paper reel as shown in FIG. 1;
  • FIG. 3 is a partially perspective view of the lining of the paper reel as shown in FIG. 2; and
  • FIG. 4 is a partially enlarged perspective view of the paper reel as shown in FIG. 1.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Referring to the drawings and initially to FIGS. 1-3, a paper reel in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a lining 10, and an enclosure 20 mounted on a periphery of the lining 10.
  • The lining 10 includes a plurality of paper strips 11 overlapping each other in an oblique manner, and a plurality of grooves 12 located between the paper strips 11 in an oblique manner. Preferably, the grooves 12 of the paper strips 11 are arranged in a helical manner. The paper strips 11 are wound around a helical winding track in an oblique manner so as to form a tubular body. The paper strips 11 are juxtaposed to each other in an oblique manner.
  • Referring to FIGS. 1-4, the lining 10 further includes a paper strap 13 mounted between the paper strips 11 and the enclosure 20. The grooves 12 of the paper strips 11 are covered by the paper strap 13 completely. The paper strap 13 is substantially tubular and has a length equal to that of the tubular body formed by the paper strips 11. The paper strap 13 is radially wrapped around a periphery of the tubular body formed by the paper strips 11. The paper strap 13 is harder than each of the paper strips 11.
  • The enclosure 20 is made of plastic material. The enclosure 20 is substantially tubular and is wrapped around a periphery of the paper strap 13.
  • In assembly, an adhesive is bonded on a side of each of the paper strips 11. Then, each of the paper strips 11 is wound around a helical winding track of a winding machine in an oblique manner with a determined pitch, so that each of the paper strips 11 is bonded layer by layer so as to form a tubular body. In addition, the paper strips 11 are juxtaposed to each other in an oblique manner to form the grooves 12. Then, an adhesive is bonded on a side of the paper strap 13 and the paper strap 13 is radially wrapped around the periphery of the tubular body formed by the paper strips 11 so as to form the lining 10. In such a manner, the grooves 12 of the paper strips 11 are covered by the paper strap 13 completely. Finally, the lining 10 is mounted in a tubular die and a plastic material is injected into the die to form the enclosure 20 which is wrapped around the periphery of the lining 10. Thus, the lining 10 and the enclosure 20 form a seamless paper reel as shown in FIG. 1.
  • Accordingly, the plastic enclosure 20 encompasses a whole length of the paper lining 10 to reinforce the strength of the paper reel, so that when an element, such as a tape, cloth, weaving strap, metallic foil, car insulating paper or the like, is closely wound around the paper reel, the paper reel will not be deformed or distorted due to compression, thereby enhancing the quality and stability of the paper reel. In addition, the lining 10 is formed by a winding process, and the plastic enclosure 20 is made by a plastic injection molding process, so that the paper reel is made easily, exactly and rapidly, thereby enhancing the working efficiency and decreasing costs of fabrication.
  • Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the true scope of the invention.
