Abstract
The invention relates to a fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure, which is installed inside a hollow door plank or wallboard frame that is made of a refractory material. The characteristic of the invention lies in that the fire-resistant and heat-insulating structure is in the form of board enabling at least a foamed block board to have a layer of cement insulated material attached thereto. The cement insulated material is made up of mixing thermally expansible material with other organic or inorganic fire-resistance. Accordingly, when the invention is burning by a fire, the foamed block board is rapidly melted by the heat, and at the same time, the heat enables the cement insulated material to inflate and fill the inner frame instantly. Thus the invention enables the frame to be filled compactly with the cement insulated material after inflation, so as to possess better fire-resistant and heat-insulating effects.
Description
- I. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a “fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure”, especially to a door/wall structure that applies a simplified and modulated structure with the advantage of easy and convenient construction, so as to effectively achieve the fire-resistant and heat insulation effects, as well as increase the structural strength of said door plank or wallboard.
- II. Description of the Prior Art
- Generally, a conventional fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure is a hollow plank that is made of a metal or special refractory material, of which the fireproof characteristic performs the fire prevention function. Nevertheless, said conventional structure only performs the fire prevention function in a very short period of time without the heat insulation effect of separating the heat on the other side of the door/wall in case of a naked flame. Thus said conventional fire-resistant door/wall is easily burnt down or deformed, and the heat and/or fire spread from one side of the door/wall to the other side. Therefore, said conventional fire-resistant door/wall is unable to effectively achieve the fire-resistant and heat insulation functions; in addition, the conventional fire-resistant door/wall has the drawbacks of poor collision-resistant strength, inferior soundproof effect and easily deformed characteristic, due to its hollow plank structure.
- To solve the foregoing drawbacks of said conventional fire-resistant door/wall structure, another fire-resistant door/wall structure enables the interior of the hollow door plank or wallboard to be filled with fireproof glass wool, asbestos, or foamed plastic material, so as to retard the spread of fire load and heat. However, compared with a brick wall or a cement wall, said conventional hollow fire-resistant door/wallboard that contains a soft and low density fire-resistant glass wool, asbestos, or foamed plastic material filled thereon possesses inferior impact strength and heat-resistant effects; thereupon said fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure has to be improved.
- The main objective of this invention is to provide a fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure that applies a simplified and modulated structure with the advantage of easy and convenient construction, so as to effectively achieve the fire-resistant and heat insulation effects.
- Another objective of the invention is to provide a fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure, increasing the impact strength and soundproof effect of a door plank or a wallboard.
- In view of the above drawbacks, an innovative “fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure” is therefore disclosed hereafter.
- The main objective of the present invention is to provide a foamed block board at least having a layer of cement insulated material attached thereto; the cement insulated material is made up of mixing a thermally expansible material with other organic or inorganic fire-resistance.
- Accordingly, the fire-resistant and heat-insulating structure of the invention is formed as a plurality of boards, so as to be easily cut to fit various forms and shapes of door/wallboard frames. In case of the fire burns of said door/wallboard, the foamed block board inside the door/wallboard is rapidly melted by the heat, at the same time; the heat enables the cement insulated material to inflate inside the frame body instantly. Seeing that the cement insulated material inflates in the frame of the door plank/wallboard, the whole frame is filled compactly of inflated cement insulated material without leaving any space therein. Moreover, such material possesses a higher density to perform better fire-resistant and heat-insulating effects. In addition, the door plank/wallboard having a resemblance to a solid structure is able to increase the characteristic of impact strength thereof.

FIGS. 3A-3C are three-dimensional perspective views showing preferred embodiments in accordance with the invention. - Further aspects, objects, and desirable features of the invention will be better understood from the detailed description and drawings that follow in which various embodiments of the disclosed invention are illustrated by way of examples.
- With reference to
FIGS. 1-3 , the “fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure” of the invention mainly made of a fire-resistant and heat-insulating structure 10, which is installed in aframe 20 of a hollow door plank or wallboard that is made of a refractory material; the characteristic lies in that the fire-resistant and heat-insulating structure 10 is composed in the form of a board enabling at least a plank or afoamed block board 11 to have a layer of a cement insulatedmaterial 12 attached thereto; the cement insulatedmaterial 12 is made up of mixing a thermally expansible material with other organic or inorganic fire-resistance and water and is spread or poured on said foamedblock board 11 to form a resemblance to a cement plate after having dried off. Said thermally expansible material is able to be graphite or other material with the identical property. - With reference to
FIGS. 3A-3C , the fire-resistant and heat-insulating structure 10 is able to be arranged in three layers by placing a layer of the cement insulatedmaterial 12 into two pieces of the foamed block boards 11 (as shown inFIG. 3B ), or spreading a layer of the cement insulatedmaterial 12 on both sides of a piece of the foamed block board 11 (as shown inFIG. 3A ), even more, by interlacing a plurality of said foamed block boards with the cement insulated material in four, five or more layers. Moreover, saidfoamed block board 11 is able to form afillister 111 on the surface thereof for placing the cement insulatedmaterial 12 therein (as shown inFIG. 3C ) to form a modulated fire-resistant and heat-insulating structure 10. Furthermore, asheathing plate 112 is able to be made to cover the exterior of the cement insulatedmaterial 12, so as to lay the cement insulatedmaterial 12 inside thefoamed block board 11. - Accordingly, the contact surface of the
foamed block board 11 and the cement insulatedmaterial 12 of the fire-resistant and heat-insulating structure 10 is either a flat surface, or a undulate rough surface, for the cement insulatedmaterial 12 to be easily adhered thereto; the rough surface is able to be in a form of either wave, reticular, granular or other irregular patterns on the surface. - Upon the assembly of the invention, the fire-resistant and heat-insulating
structure 10 is made in the form of plank, so as to be easily cut to fit for being placed into various forms and shapes of door/wallboard frames 20. In case of the fire burns of the door/wallboard, thefoamed block board 11 inside the door/wallboard is rapidly melted by the heat, at the same time; the heat enables the thermally expansible material that is contained in the cement insulatedmaterial 12 to inflate inside the frame instantly. Seeing that the cement insulatedmaterial 12 inflates in theframe 20 of the door plank/wallboard, thewhole frame 20 is filled compactly with the inflated cement insulated material without leaving any space therein; such material possesses a higher density to perform better fire-resistant and heat-insulating effects. In addition, the door plank/wallboard having a resemblance to a solid structure is able to increase the impact strength thereof. - Moreover, the surface of the
foamed block board 11 is able to be spread with or immersed in a thin layer of said cement insulatedmaterial 12, before or after the combination of thefoamed block board 11 and the cement insulatedmaterial 12; consequently, thefoamed block board 11 that is covered with a layer of the cement insulatedmaterial 12 is able to prevent dense smoke or toxic substance during the melting process by the heat, in case of the fire burns of the door/wallboard. - To sum up, the “fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure” of the invention has the characteristics of a simplified structure arrangement, easy and convenient to construct and substantially increasing the practicality of fire-resistant and heat-insulating functions, so as to possess the “practicability” in the industry field.
- New characteristics and advantages of the invention covered by this document have been set forth in the foregoing description. It is to be expressly understood, however, that the drawings are for the purpose of illustration only and are not intended as a definition of the limits of the invention. Changes in methods, shapes, structures or devices may be made in details without exceeding the scope of the invention by those who are skilled in the art. The scope of the invention is, of course, defined in the language in which the appended claims are expressed.
Claims (6)
1. A fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure, wherein the fire-resistant and heat-insulating structure is a structure being installed in a frame of a door plank or wallboard that is made of a refractory material, the characteristic lies in: the fire-resistant and heat-insulating structure is a board enabling a foamed block board to have at least a layer of cement insulated material attached thereto; the cement insulated material is made up of mixing thermally expansible material with other organic or inorganic fire-resistance.
2. The fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure of claim 1 , wherein the fire-resistant and heat-insulating structure is able to be arranged by interlacing a plurality of said foamed block boards with the cement insulated material.
3. The fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure of claim 1 , wherein the contact surface in-between the foamed block board and the cement insulated material is able to be an undulate rough surface.
4. The fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure of claim 1 , wherein the surface of the foamed block board has a fillister enabling cement insulated material to be filled therein.
5. The fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure of claim 1 , wherein the surface of the foamed block board covers a thin layer of the cement insulated material.
6. The fire-resistant and heat-insulating door/wall structure of claim 1 , wherein the thermally expansible material contained in the cement insulated material is able to be graphite.
