Description
- 1. Field of Invention
- The present invention relates to a cap combined with assistant tapes, and more particularly to a improved cap combined with assistant tapes which is allowed to enhance quality and productivity of the cap by controlling flexibility of the cap properly so that a size of the cap is spontaneously adjusted according to a size of user's head without a separate size-adjusting device.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- Generally, the cap is baseball-cap style, which is greatly constructed with a crown part referred to as a main body of the cap, a visor part attached to a front lower portion of the crown part to protect the user's face from a sunlight, a headband part attached to a inner bottom peripheral portion to absorb sweat of user's head, and a size adjusting device located in a rear lower portion of the crown part to adjust the size of the cap according to the size of user's head. The size adjusting device is generally formed with Velcro fastener, a plastic locking device or the like so that the size thereof may be controlled according to the size of user's head. However, an inconvenience occurs in such a manner that a user must adjust the size adjusting device each time the user wears the cap. In order to overcome this inconvenience, the crown part and the headband part are made to be flexible so that the size of the cap may be spontaneously adjusted even without adjusting the separate size-adjusting device according to the size of user's head.
- However, as the crown part has flexibility even though the cap is not provided with the separate size-adjusting device, a lower portion of the crown part is intended to be bent outward. Therefore, it is difficult to connect and sew the crown part and the headband part together. Further, a front portion of the crown part can not be evenly sewed due to flexibility of the crown part.
- Accordingly, the present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior art, and a feature of the present invention is to provide a cap combined with assistant tapes capable of controlling flexibility of the crown part properly in order to adjust a size of the cap spontaneously according to a size of user's head without a separate size-adjusting device.
- Another feature of the present invention is to provide a cap combined with assistant tapes capable of expanding available size range of the cap in relation to the size of user's head.
- The foregoing and/or other aspects of the present invention can be achieved by providing a cap combined with assistant tapes comprising a crown part of a main body of the cap which is composed of one or more panels; a visor part which is attached to a front lower portion of the crown part; and a headband part which is attached to an inner lower peripheral portion of the crown part, an assistant tape made of non-woven fabric is connected between the crown part and the visor part, and an assistant tape made of a elastic material such as a rubber is connected between the crown part and the headband part except of the visor part, sewing lines are formed on the headband part with two flexible yarns being connected in a chain-like stitch.
- According to an aspect of the present invention, it is possible to reduce percent defective of the cap and improve quality and productivity of the cap by controlling flexibility of a front portion, a peripheral portion and a rear portion of the crown part properly in order to adjust the size of the cap spontaneously according to the size of user's head without the separate size-adjusting device. Further, it is possible to expand available size range of the cap, because the headband part attached around the crown part is cut on a bias direction, and sewing lines are formed on the headband part with two flexible yarns being connected in a chain-like stitch.
- The above and/or other aspects and advantages of the prevent invention will become apparent and more readily appreciated from the following description of the exemplary embodiments, taken in conjunction with the accompany drawings, in which:
-
FIG. 1 is a partial perspective sectional view of a cap according to the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a bottom view of a cap according to the present invention; -
FIG. 3 is a partial outward enlarged view of a headband part of the cap according to the present invention; -
FIG. 4 is a partial inward enlarged view of a headband part of the cap according to the present invention; and -
FIG. 5 is a sectional view of chain-like sewing lines on the headband part according to the present invention. - Reference will now be made in detail to the embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout. The embodiments are described below so as to explain the present invention by referring to the figures.
-
FIG. 1 is a partial perspective sectional view of a cap according to the present invention, andFIG. 2 is a bottom view of a cap according to the present invention. As shown inFIG. 1 andFIG. 2 , a cap according to the embodiment of the invention is greatly constructed with acrown part 1 referred to as a main body of the cap composed of a plurality of panels, avisor part 2 attached to a front lower portion of the crown part to protect the user's face from sunlight, and aheadband part 3 positioned in a inner lower peripheral portion of the crown portion. Thecrown part 1 and theheadband part 3 are made of a fabric having flexibility in a peripheral direction so that a user can spontaneously adjust a size of the cap according to the size of user's head without a need to adjust separate size-adjusting device each time the user wears the cap. Theheadband part 3 is made by a fabric that is cut on the bias direction and sewing lines are formed on theheadband part 3 with outward nylon stretch yarns and inward flexible yarns being connected in a chain-like stitch, which results in improving flexibility. Twoassistant tapes 4, 5 are connected between thecrown part 1 and thevisor part 2, and theheadband part 3 respectively. The assistant tape 4 connected between thecrown part 1 and theheadband part 3 is made of flexible material such as a rubber. Since the flexible assistant tape 4 described above is attached to a peripheral portion and a rear surface portion of thecrown part 1, thecrown part 1 are bent not outward, but inward. Also, theassistant tape 5 connected between thecrown part 1 and thevisor part 2 is made of inflexible material such as non-woven fabric. Since theinflexible tape 5 described above is attached to the front portion of thecrown part 1, thevisor part 2 can be evenly connected and sewed with thecrown part 1. By means ofsuch assistant tapes 4, 5 attached to the front portion, the peripheral portion and the rear portion of thecrown portion 1, it is possible to significantly reduce percent defective of the cap, and therefore to improve quality and productivity of the cap. -
FIG. 3 is a partial outward enlarged view of a headband part of the cap according to the present invention,FIG. 4 is a partial inward enlarged view of a headband part of the cap according to the present invention, andFIG. 5 is a sectional view of chain-like sewing lines of the headband part according to the present invention. As shown inFIG. 3 to 5 , theheadband part 3 according to the invention is made of fabrics having flexibility in the peripheral direction. Theheadband part 3 is folded one time to form twofolds headband part 3 with twoflexible yarns outward sewing line 6 a exposed to outside and rubber yarns as aninward swing line 6 b, the twofolds headband part 3 are sewed in a chain-like stitch. Therefore, because the fabric of theheadband part 3 is cut in the bias direction and sewed in a chain-like stitch using flexible yarns, it is possible to improve available size range of the cap. - Although a few exemplary embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the invention, the scope of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.
