Description
- The present invention relates to a glove capable of storing a pocket warmer inside.
- Conventionally, as this type of glove, a glove has been proposed that is provided with a storage portion in which a disposable pocket warmer can be stored in a portion that corresponds to the palm or a portion that corresponds to the back of the hand when the hand is inserted in the glove. This conventional glove is configured such that when the glove is put on, by a pocket warmer stored in the storage portion, the hand is warmed and maintained in a warm state (for example, see Patent Document 1).
- Incidentally, in sports in which hands are used such as golf or basketball, the feeling of the fingertips is very important for playing the sport, so when the sport is played in a state in which the fingertips have become cold and do not have sufficient feeling, such as in winter weather, playing of that sport is negatively affected. In particular, it is necessary to pay adequate attention that the fingertips do not become cold in sports that are played outside, such as golf.
- However, with the above conventional glove, although it is possible to warm the palm or the back of the hand by storing a pocket warmer inside, it is not possible to warm the fingertips, where there is no pocket warmer.
- The present invention was made in view of the above problem, and it is an object thereof to provide a glove that can warm the fingertips well, and furthermore in which it is possible to simply store a pocket warmer in a front end portion of the glove that corresponds to the fingertips.
- It is a further object of the invention to provide a glove that can selectively warm either one or both of the underbelly and the fingernail side of the fingers according to conditions such as the coldness of the fingertips.
- In order to attain the above object, in the glove according to the present invention, a pocket warmer storage portion that stores one or a plurality of pocket warmers is provided inside a glove body, and the fingertip portion of a hand that has been inserted within this glove body is warmed by the pocket warmers within the pocket warmer storage portion.
- The glove body is provided with a base end opening portion for inserting/removing the hand; a palm covering portion that is continuous with the base end opening portion and covers the palm and back of the hand; a thumb covering portion that is continuous with the palm covering portion and covers the thumb of the hand; a four finger covering portion that is continuous with the palm covering portion and collectively covers four fingers of the hand, namely the index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and little finger of the hand; a front end opening portion formed at a front end edge portion of the four finger covering portion; and an opening/closing means that opens/closes the front end opening portion.
- On the other hand, the pocket warmer storage portion has a pocket warmer insertion opening for inserting/removing the pocket warmer, and is disposed in the four finger covering portion at a site where the fingertip portion of the four fingers is present when these fingers have been inserted, the pocket warmer insertion opening is disposed in the front end opening portion of the four finger covering portion, and the pocket warmer insertion opening is opened/closed along with the front end opening portion by the opening/closing means.
- Because the glove of the invention has the above configuration, this glove can warm the fingertips well. Accordingly, it is possible to maintain the feeling of the fingertips in a good state even in intense cold. Also, by opening an opening/closing means, the pocket warmer storage portion can be opened via the front end opening portion in the front end edge of the four finger covering portion, and even while the glove is being worn, it is possible to easily insert/remove a pocket warmer via this front end opening portion.
- In the above glove, a configuration may be adopted in which spaces are secured that respectively allow insertion of the fingertip portion between the outer face of the pocket warmer storage portion and an inner face of the fingernail side of the four finger covering portion, and between the outer face of the pocket warmer storage portion and an inner face of the finger underbelly side of the four finger covering portion.
- In this case, it is possible to selectively insert the fingertip portion into either one of the two spaces described above, so of the surface and back of the fingertip portion, i.e. the fingernail side and the underbelly side, it is possible to put the side desired to be preferentially warmed directly in contact with the outer face of the pocket warmer storage portion.
- Also, in the above glove, a configuration may be adopted in which the pocket warmer storage portion includes a first compartment that is provided at an inner face of the fingernail side of the four finger covering portion, and stores one pocket warmer, and a second compartment that is provided at an inner face of the finger underbelly side of the four finger covering portion, and stores another pocket warmer; and a space is secured that allows insertion of the fingertip portion between the first compartment and the second compartment.
- In this case, the fingertip portion is sandwiched between two pocket warmers, i.e. the pocket warmer stored in the first compartment and the pocket warmer stored in the second compartment, so the entire fingertip portion can be warmed in a short time period.
- Also, in the above glove, the pocket warmer storage portion includes a first compartment and a second compartment that individually store two pocket warmers. A configuration may be adopted in which the first compartment and the second compartment are respectively provided so as to be swingable within the four finger covering portion in the direction toward both an inner face of the fingernail side and an inner face of the finger underbelly side; and spaces are selectively secured that allow any of insertion of the fingertip portion between the first compartment and the inner face of the fingernail side of the four finger covering portion, between the first compartment and the second compartment, or between the second compartment and the inner face of the finger underbelly side of the four finger covering portion.
- In this case, it is possible to selectively insert the fingertip portion into any one of the three spaces described above, so of the surface and back of the fingertip portion, it is possible to warm the fingertip portion by putting the side desired to be preferentially warmed in contact with the outer face of the first compartment or the second compartment pocket warmer storage portion, and it is also possible to sandwich the fingertip portion between the first compartment and the second compartment, thus warming the entire fingertip portion.
- Also, in the above glove, the opening/closing means may be a fastener, or the opening/closing means may be a hook-and-loop fastener.
- In this case, opening/closing of the front end opening portion of the four finger covering portion is simple, and even while the glove is being worn it is possible to open/close the front end opening portion with one hand.
- Note that in this invention, the pocket warmer is an item that is widely circulating in the commercial marketplace at present and thus is easily obtained, and is in a form that can be stored in the pocket warmer storage portion. For example, the pocket warmer is a so-called disposable pocket warmer in which iron powder that oxidizes to generate heat in air is placed in a bag of nonwoven cloth or paper, or a so-called platinum-catalytic pocket warmer, in which vaporized benzyne is caused to slowly oxidize to generate heat using the catalytic action of platinum.
- With the glove of the invention, it is possible to warm the fingertips well, so it is possible to maintain the feeling of the fingertips in a good state. Also, by opening an opening/closing means, the storage portion can be opened via the front end, and via this front end opening it is possible to easily insert/remove a pocket warmer.

-
FIG. 1 shows aglove 1 of the invention. - A
glove body 11 of theglove 1, which is a so-called mitten-type glove, is provided with a baseend opening portion 12 for inserting/removing a hand, apalm covering portion 15 that is continuous with the baseend opening portion 12 and covers the palm and back of the hand, athumb covering portion 13 that is continuous with thepalm covering portion 15 and covers the thumb of the hand, and a fourfinger covering portion 14 that is continuous with thepalm covering portion 15 and collectively covers four fingers of the hand, i.e. the index finger, middle finger, ring finger, and little finger of the hand. Theglove body 11 is produced with a material having excellent heat-retaining properties, is made so as to insure water resistance as necessary, and is made capable of adequately exhibiting an effect of retaining heat generated by a pocket warmer, described below. - In the above-described four
finger covering portion 14, a pocketwarmer storage portion 2 is provided from the front end to an intermediate portion of the fourfinger covering portion 14, as shown inFIG. 2 . This pocketwarmer storage portion 2 is formed pouch-like so as to store a heat-retaining device such as a disposable pocket warmer, and is produced using a mesh fabric, for example, such that heat generated by the pocket warmer is easily transmitted to the fingertips. - This pocket
warmer storage portion 2 is configured to be capable of opening/closing along with a frontend edge portion 14 a of the fourfinger covering portion 14. Specifically, a configuration is adopted in which a pocketwarmer insertion opening 2 a is formed in the pocketwarmer storage portion 2, and also a frontend opening portion 14 b of a predetermined length along the frontend edge portion 14 a is formed in the frontend edge portion 14 a of the fourfinger covering portion 14. The opening edge of the pocketwarmer insertion opening 2 a, for example, is stitched on the frontend opening portion 14 b, and both of these openings (the pocketwarmer insertion opening 2 a and the frontend opening portion 14 b) are opened/closed together by afastener 3 that serves as an opening/closing means. Accordingly, by opening thefastener 3, the pocketwarmer insertion opening 2 a of the pocketwarmer storage portion 2 can be opened via the frontend opening portion 14 b, and thus it is possible to easily insert/remove a pocket warmer A via thisend opening portion 14 b. - By configuring the
glove 1 in this manner, it possible for a player to warm the fingertips well by inserting a hand in theglove 1 of the invention while the player is moving, for example when playing golf, and thus the feeling of the fingertips can be maintained in a good state. More specifically, as shown inFIG. 4 , in theglove 1 of this embodiment, spaces S1 and S2 are secured that respectively allow insertion of a fingertip portion F between the outer face of the pocketwarmer storage portion 2 and aninner face 14 c of the fingernail side of the fourfinger covering portion 14, and between the outer face of the pocketwarmer storage portion 2 and aninner face 14 d of the finger underbelly side of the fourfinger covering portion 14. Accordingly, it is possible to selectively insert the fingertip portion F into either one of the two spaces S1 and S2, so of the surface and back of the fingertip portion, i.e. the fingernail side and the underbelly side, it is possible to put the side desired to be preferentially warmed directly in contact with the outer face of the pocketwarmer storage portion 2. - In the above embodiment, the pocket
warmer storage portion 2 has a one compartment structure in which one pocket warmer A is stored, but this is not a limitation of the invention. For example, as shown inFIG. 5 , a configuration may be adopted in which the pocketwarmer storage portion 2 includes afirst compartment 21 that is provided at theinner face 14 c of the fingernail side of the fourfinger covering portion 14 and stores one pocket warmer A1, and asecond compartment 22 that is provided at theinner face 14 d of the finger underbelly side of the fourfinger covering portion 14 and stores another pocket warmer A2, and a space S3 is secured that allows insertion of the fingertip portion F between thefirst compartment 21 and thesecond compartment 22. - In this case, the fingertip portion F is sandwiched between the two pocket warmers A1 and A2, i.e. the pocket warmer A1 stored in the
first compartment 21 and the pocket warmer A2 stored in thesecond compartment 22, so the entire fingertip portion F can be warmed in a short time period. - Also, other than the embodiment described above, for example, a configuration as shown in
FIG. 6 may be adopted. - That is, in the glove shown in
FIG. 6 , the pocketwarmer storage portion 2 is provided with afirst compartment 25 and asecond compartment 26 that individually store the two pocket warmers A1 and A2, and thefirst compartment 25 and thesecond compartment 26 are respectively provided so as to be swingable within the fourfinger covering portion 14 in the direction toward both theinner face 14 c of the fingernail side and theinner face 14 d of the finger underbelly side. In this configuration, spaces S5, S6, and S7 are selectively secured that allow any of insertion of a fingertip portion F between thefirst compartment 25 and theinner face 14 c of the fingernail side of the fourfinger covering portion 14, between thefirst compartment 25 and thesecond compartment 26, or between thesecond compartment 26 and theinner face 14 d of the finger underbelly side of the fourfinger covering portion 14. - In this case, it is possible to selectively insert the fingertip portion F into any one of the three spaces S5, S6, and S7 described above, so of the surface and back of the fingertip portion, it is possible to warm the fingertip portion by putting the side desired to be preferentially warmed in contact with the outer face of the
first compartment 25 or thesecond compartment 26, and it is also possible to sandwich the fingertip portion F between thefirst compartment 25 and thesecond compartment 26, thus warming the entire fingertip portion F. - Also, in the above glove, the
fastener 13 is used as an opening/closing means, but other than thefastener 13, a hook-and-loop fastener may be adopted, for example. - When the
fastener 13 or a hook-and-loop fastener is used as an opening/closing means, opening/closing of the frontend opening portion 14 b of the fourfinger covering portion 14 becomes simple, and even while theglove 1 is being worn it is possible to open/close the frontend opening portion 14 with one hand. - The embodiment above is a preferred embodiment of the invention, but this is not any kind of limitation of the invention, and various design modifications within the scope of the invention are possible.
- For example, the opening/closing means is not limited to the
fastener 3; it is sufficient to adopt a suitable configuration capable of opening/closing the frontend opening portion 14 b. - Furthermore, another pocket warmer storage portion may be provided also at an appropriate site of the
